Abstract

A lock, particularly for sliding doors (11) and the like, comprising a closure (12) supported so that it can slide and rotate through a main body (13) that is associated with a leaf (14) and accommodates means (15) to activate dichocierre (12), which can be operated by the user to move from a first configuration, in which said closure (12) is substantially retracted in said main body (13), - to a second configuration, in which said closure ( 12) is extracted from said main body (13), - and vice versa characterized by the fact that said closure (12) comprises an element (16) for striking a jamb (17) that supports an element (18) to retain said closure ( 12), in said jamb (17) having a hole (19) having a substantially circular transverse section with its axis (A) aligned with said marker element (16) when said closure (12) is in said second configuration, a plate of contrast (20), which partially covers and said hole (19) and is provided with said retention element (18), being associated with said jamb (17), said closure (12), in its second configuration, inserted in said hole (19), being engaged with said retaining element (18) to prevent the spacing of said sheet (14) of said jamb (17).

Description

PARTICULARLY LOCK FOR SLIDING AND SIMILAR DOORS

The present invention refers to a lock, particularly for sliding doors and the like. Such a lock is known for example from US 2784019 A.

Locks for sliding doors are currently known to have a closure that is supported, so that it can slide and rotate, by a main body that is associated with a door leaf.

The main body accommodates means to activate the closure that can be operated by the user to pass

from a first configuration, in which the closure is substantially retracted in

the main body,

to a second configuration, in which the closure is removed from the main body,

and vice versa

In the transition from the first configuration to the second configuration, the

closure, which is shaped like a hook, performs a translational movement, sliding towards

the outside of the main body, then rotated to hook a retainer

provided in the jamb.

This retention element is generally formed by a flap of a

contrast plate, which partially covers the insertion hole of the closure provided in

the jamba

Currently, this hole is provided in the jaw substantially at the closure.

A contrast plate is arranged in the hole, has an opening for the passage of the closure and has the retaining element, which is substantially formed by a flap of the contrast plate that is perimeter in relation to the opening.

In order to avoid any error in evaluating the position of the hole, the contrast plate has, in the jamb, in the closure, notches for alignment with corresponding notches provided in a plate that covers the main body of the lock.

with the retention element.

This type of locks substantially has the disadvantage that the

supply, in the jamb, of a closure insertion hole that is larger than the

occupation of closing space, in order to allow flexibility in adapting to

installation conditions

In this way, the hole actually has a certain dimensional tolerance that

it allows to accommodate the closure even in installation conditions that do not correspond

perfectly with the expected conditions.

any error in estimating the pairing position of the closure in the jamb when

With reference to the figures, reference number 10 generally designates a lock, particularly for sliding doors 11 and the like, comprising a closure 12 that is supported, so that it can slide and rotate, through a main body 13.

A particular feature of the lock 10 is that the closure 12 comprises an element 16 for striking a jamb 17 that supports a retention element 18 for the closure 12.

A hole 19 is provided in jamb 17 and has a substantially circular cross-section with an axis A that is aligned with the marker element 16 when the closure 12 is in the second configuration.

There is also a contrast plate 20, which partially covers the hole 19, is provided with the retaining element 18 and is associated with the jamb 17.

The closure 12, in the second configuration, is inserted in the hole 19 and is engaged with the retaining element 18 in order to prevent the spacing of the sheet 14 of the jamb 17, that is, the opening of the sliding door.

Advantageously, the closure 12 has a pointed nose 16a, which forms the marker element 16.

In addition, the lock 10 conveniently comprises a cup-shaped element 21 that is inserted into the hole 19 to form a compartment 22 to accommodate the closure 12.

Conveniently, the hole 19 is a cylindrical blind hole provided by jamb drilling 17.

The contrast plate 20 advantageously has an opening 23 for inserting the closure 12 into the hole 19, the retaining element 18 being formed by a flap 24 of the contrast plate 20 which is perimetral with respect to the opening 23.

The use of the lock 10 according to the invention is as follows. The main body 13 is associated with a sheet 14 of the sliding door 11 and then, once the closure 12 has been removed in the second configuration, the sheet 14

The hole 19 for inserting the closure 12 into the jamb 17 is then provided by drilling, centering the perforator in the notch provided in the jamb 17. Thus, when the sheet 14 supporting the main body 13 abuts against the jamb 17, moving the closure 12 from the first configuration to the second configuration, the closure passes through the opening 23 of the contrast plate 20 and It enters the compartment 22, engaging the retaining element 18 connected by the flap 24 of the contrast plate 20.

In practice it has been found that the invention achieves the objective and the intended objects, providing a lock that provides the closing insertion hole during the installation of the easy and precise fonna lock without requiring adaptations of the contrast plate to cover the hole to ensure the effective closing of the lock.

The invention conceived in this way is susceptible to numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; all the details can also be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.

In practice, the materials used, provided they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the contingent dimensions and dimensions, can be any according to the requirements and the state of the art.
