Abstract
Célula de electrolisis que tiene larga vida útil, incluye electrodo de difusión de gas cubierto por un separador de intercambio de iones formado por un revestimiento de una disolución usada, por ejemplo, para reducir la cistina a la cisteina. Una célula de electrolisis tiene un electrolito liquillo de relleno y compartimentos gaseosos de oxidación o reducción, separados por un electrodo de difusión de gas sobre el cual se forma un separador de intercambio de iones (sobre el lado del electrolito) por aplicación de una etapa sencilla o de varias etapas, de una disolución de un material intercambiador de iones en un disolvente, con al menos una evaporación parcial del disolvente tras cada etapa de revestido. Una célula de electrólisis para realizar las reacciones químicas incluyen un compartimento de electrolito líquido y un compartimento de oxidación o reducción de gas, teniendo líneas de entrada y de salida, respectivamente, para el electrolito y el gas. Cada uno de los dos compartimentos contienen rellenos eléctricamente conductores y están separados por un electrodo de difusión de gas (GDE), combinado con un separador de intercambio de iones (IES), en el lado del electrolito. Se provee un colector de corriente para el GDE. El rellenador en el compartimento del electrolito sirve como contra electrodo. La característica original es que el IES se aplica a un GDE por revestimiento de una etapa sencilla o múltiple revistiendo la capa catalizador eléctrico del GDE con una disolución de un material intercambiador de iones en un disolvente, con al menos una evaporación parcial tras cada etapa de revestido.
