Abstract

Procedimiento para elaborar yeso, así como un pigmento negro de óxido de hierro a partir del ácido diluido que se produce durante la preparación de dióxido de titanio según el procedimiento al sulfato, caracterizado porque en una primera etapa se realiza una neutralización parcial del ácido diluido con un compuesto de calcio bajo la precipitación de yeso, y a continuación, la solución restante se sigue neutralizando en una segunda etapa bajo la precipitación de un precipitado que contiene Ti, Al, Cr, V y eventualmente Fe(III), y en una tercera etapa, a partir de la solución que contiene sulfato de hierro(II), obtenida tras la separación de las sustancias sólidas, se elabora un pigmento de óxido negro de hierro, bajo la adición de compuestos alcalinos y de un agente oxidante.
