Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento y a un horno calcinante de material carbónico para la producción de grafito o de material con contenido de grafito. Materiales carbónicos que se suministran a la parte superior de un horno dispuesto verticalmente que tiene una sección transversal cilíndrica. El horno está equipado con un electrodo superior y un electrodo de fondo y tiene medios de suministro de corriente eléctrica a los electrodos para calentar el material carbónico. El material carbónico calcinado se descarga en el fondo del horno en una corriente que contiene material calcinado en el centro del horno y una corriente que contiene material calcinado cerca de la periferia del horno.
