LA PRESENTE INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION DE ACIDOS CARBOXILICOS QUE COMPRENDE (N+1) ATOMOS DE CARBONO, O ESTERES CORRESPONDIENTES, POR CARBONILACION EN FASE LIQUIDO DE UN ALCOHOL QUE COMPRENDE (N) ATOMOS DE CARBONO, EN PRESENCIA DE UN SISTEMA CATALITICO HOMOGENEO A BASE DE AL MENOS UN COMPUESTO DE IRIDIO Y DE AL MENOS UN PROMOTOR HALOGENADO. MAS EN PARTICULAR, EL PROCEDIMIENTO SEGUN LA INVENCION SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE MANTIENE EN EL MEDIO, DURANTE LA REACCION, EL ESTER QUE CORRESPONDE AL ACIDO CARBOXILICO Y AL ALCOHOL ANTES CITADOS, CON UN CONTENIDO QUE VARIA ENTRE 15 Y 35%, EL PROMOTOR HALOGENADO CON UN CONTENIDO QUE VARIA ENTRE 10 Y 20%, Y UNA PRESION PARCIAL EN MONOXIDO DE CARBONO COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 40 Y 200 BAR.
