Abstract

Una pasta para modelar que comprende una resina polimérica polar, agua, un gelificante y un material de carga proporciona una pasta resistente al desconchamiento, al agrietamiento y al desmenuzamiento. La resina polimérica es gelificada proporcionando de esta manera un sistema de resina basado en agua que no es pegajoso pero muy dúctil. Después que la pasta ha sido secada en aire, las componentes se combinan para dar un producto duradero y sólido. El material de carga constituye una gran proporción del volumen de la pasta, de manera tal que el volumen global no es afectado grandemente por pérdida de agua al secar. La pasta está basada en agua y es fácil de retirarse por lavado desde la piel, alfombras y otras superficies. Se pueden incorporar fácilmente colorantes y pigmentos en la fórmula. El producto secado es lijable por chorros de arena y pintable.
