Abstract

Glicoproteína para protección de liposomas. Nueva glicoproteína con un 14% de carbohidrato y un 86% de proteína; la parte glicídica tiene una relación molar de glucosa: galactosa: N-acetilglucosamina: N-acetilgalactosamina de 1.00 : 0.14 : 0.13 : 0.33; y la parte proteica tiene la siguiente composición de aminoácidos: ácido aspártico, 7.87; treonina, 10.6; serina, 8.03; ácido glutámico, 7.99; prolina, 4.12; glicina, 8.42; alanina, 11.04; valina, 5.36; metionina, 1.86; isoleucina, 2.91; leucina, 4.80; tirosina, l.,58; fenilalanina, 2.61; histidina, 13.86; lisina, 4.87; y arginina, 4.0. Se obtiene por cultivo de la nueva especie bacteriana Pseudoalteromonas antarctica CECT4664. Es útil para el recubrimiento de liposomas aumentando su estabilidad frente a factores externo tales como tensioactivos, con la ventaja adicional de actuar también como crioprotector.
