Abstract

The roller blind, esp. one of considerable length, has a housing (10) which is open at the front and is fixed at its two ends to a U-shaped component (21) with one branch (21a) longer than the other, while a plate is connected to the upper and lower branches to support the end of the roller axle and at least part of its drive mechanism. The distance between the two arms of the U-shaped component is sufficient to allow the blind roller, complete with the rolled blind, to be fitted between them from the front. The housing is fixed to a vertical wall (46) by brackets (44), and is shaped to receive a front component (30) which closes the housing once the blind is rolled up inside it.
