SE PREPARA UN (MET)ACRILATO DE ALQUILO MEDIANTE UNA ESTERIFICAION DIRECTA (EN 1) DEL ACIDO (MET)ACRILICO, MEDIANTE ALCOHOL CORRESPONDIENTE, CATALIZADO POR H2SO4. A LA MEZCLA DE REACCION, INCLUIDOS (B1) EL ESTER ALUDIDO DE ALCOHOL, DEL ACIDO (MET)ACRILICO, DEL SULFATO DE ACIDO ALQUILO Y DE VESTIGIOS DE H2SO4, SE AÑADE (EN 3) UNA BASE PARA NEUTRALIZAR LAS ESPECIES ACIDAS, PASANDO LAS SALES RESULTANTES EN LA FASE ACUOSA (A1), QUE ESTA SEPARADA DE LA FASE ORGANICA (O1) CONTENIENDO EL ESTER CITADO. LOS PRODUCTOS LIGEROS (L1) CONTENIENDO ALCOHOL SE RECUPERAN (EN 4) A PARTIR DE LA FASE ACUOSA, Y SE RECHAZAN LAS AGUAS (E2) USADAS. SE HACE UNA HIDROLISIS (EN 8) DEL SULFATO ACIDO DE ALQUILO PRESENTE EN LA FASE ACUOSA (A1) RESULTANTE DE LA SEPARACION REALIZADA DESPUES DE LA NEUTRALIZACION (EN 3), PARA FORMAR EN ESTA FASE DE ALCOHOL Y DEL H2SO4, SE NEUTRALIZAN LAS ESPECIES ACIDAS RESULTANTES DE LA HIDROLISIS MEDIANTE LA INTRODUCCION DE UNA BASE EN EL MEDIO, Y SE DIRIGE LA FASE ACUOSA RESULTANTE (A3) ALA ETAPA DE RECUPERACION DE ALCOHOL. SE EVITA DE ESTA FORMA LA POLUCION DE LAS AGUAS (E2) IMPUTABLE AL SULFATO ACIDO ALQUILO.
