EL OBJETIVO DE LA INVENCION ES OBTENER UNA CAPA QUE PRESENTA SIMULTANEAMENTE PROPIEDADES ANTIREFLEJO, HIDROFOBAS Y QUE SEA RESISTENTE A LA ABRASION. ESTE OBJETIVO ES ALCANZADO CON LA AYUDA DE UN MATERIAL QUE COMPRENDE: UN SUBSTRATO (2) DE NATURALEZA ORGANICA O INORGANICA, UNA CAPA DE PROMOTOR DE ADHERENCIA (4) REALIZADA POR UN MATERIAL ESCOGIDO ENTRE LOS SILANOS, UNA CAPA ANTIREFLEJO (6) FORMADA POR COLOIDES DE SILICE EN UN LIGANTE SILOXANO, UNA CAPA DE AGENTE DE ACOPLAMIENTO (8) REALIZADA POR UN MATERIAL ESCOGIDO ENTRE LOS SILAZANOS, Y UNA CAPA ANTIABRASIVA (10) DE UN POLIMERO FLUORADO.
