LOS GRANOS DE MAGNESIO ESTAN REVESTIDOS DE UNA CAPA DE PRODUCTO MINERAL AÑADIDO A UN LIGANTE. PREFERENTEMENTE, EL PRODUCTO MINERAL QUE REVISTE AL MAGNESIO ES TAMBIEN CARBURO DE CALCIO. LOS DIAMETROS DE LOS GRANOS DE MAGNESIO Y DE CARBURO DE CALCIO SE ELIGEN DE MANERA QUE SEAN PROPORCIONALES A LAS MASAS VOLUMINICAS MEDIAS DE LOS GRANOS DE MAGNESIO REVESTIDOS Y DE LOS GRANOS DE CARBURO DE CALCIO. LOS GRANOS DE CARBURO DE CALCIO PUEDEN ESTAR ELLOS MISMOS DE GRANOS MAS FINOS AGLOMERADOS POR UN LIGANTE.
