Abstract

Process for obtaining high fracture- and abrasion- resistance agglomerates containing fluorite. Starting from natural or artificial fluorite-containing substances, which are subjected to a stage of grinding, mixing the resulting powder with the minimum essential quantity of agglomerating agent and water, yielding a mass which is then shaped, agglomerates of the desired size being subsequently pyroconsolidated in fixed bed hearth, rotary or similar furnaces to those used in the manufacture of bricks.
