Abstract
Automatic locking slide for slide fasteners, of the type comprising a slider body, a pull tab and an elastic blocking element without cap means for enclosing the elastic element, characterized in that the slider comprises an upper fin element and a lower flap element positioned in spaced facing relationship and joined at a first end by a neck portion to provide a substantially Y-shaped channel therebetween, an elastic locking element having an arm bent inwardly at a first end, a locking pin on the other end and an exposed central part, said upper wing element having an opening disposed for the passage of said blocking stack in the Y-shaped channel, a retaining ear provided on said upper fin element immediately above said neck part to retain said arm in place against displacement, and a tongue which has a transversely extending trunnion part disposed between said resilient locking member and said upper fin member, said trunnion portion being of reduced thickness such that the outer surface of said trailing tongue normally remains substantially of the exposed outer surface of said resilient locking member and said retaining ear projecting slightly above the outer surfaces of said pull tab and said resilient locking member.
