Description
- The fastening system for tubular Y-shaped dry heater of water heater, according to the invention, is applicable in water-containing systems for heating liquids, mainly for water for industrial and household purposes.
- A flange with a tubular heater in an electric water heater disclosed in
DE202005014722U1 is known from the prior art. It consists of at least one Y-shaped tubular electric resistive heater (dry heater), which is located in a protective tube that enters the inside of the water heater to heat the fluid, in this case water. The two free ends of the Y-shaped heater are located above the tube, and the electrical connections are located on the outer side of the flange to ensure safety preventing a contact with the water. The protective tube has a round shape and the Y-shaped tubular electric resistive heater has an oval two-part shape. The protection against slipping out of the heater from the tube is realized with at least one fastener, which in one embodiment is a short screw that passes through a hole in the protective tube, and a groove in the wall of the heater. Thus, the heater is pressed laterally. Alternatively, the fastener is a clamp with a hole which slides on the heater and is fastened by an additional pin in said hole. The design of both embodiments of the fastener provides an air gap on one side of the heater, which serves to hold the fastener. - A disadvantage of the known flange is that the transfer of heat from the heater to the protective tube, respectively the water, is not efficient due to the presence of an air gap. This leads to an increased surface heat load of the heater.
- Another disadvantage is the lack of contact between the heater and the protective tube, which leads to an increase in the temperature of the heater, consequently an increase in the linear expansion and destruction of its tube, and break of the resistive conductor. Thus, a greater heat load is formed in this zone, which destroys, oxidizes or delaminates, due to the release of scale, the heater tube, resulting in a break in the resistive conductor, which reduces the life of the heater.
- Another disadvantage is that in an embodiment with a self-tapping screw, pin, wire, L and Y - shaped retaining device it is necessary to form at least one hole, which requires additional operation of drilling the tube. In addition, due to the Y-shape of the heater, a larger diameter protective tube is required to carry out the assembly so that the fasteners can pass over or through the heater without damaging it.
- Another disadvantage is that the use of a threaded screw requires many details and operations, such as forming at least one hole, welding a threaded bushing, cleaning the thread from the scale formed after firing the enamel protective anti-corrosion coating of the flange on its inner side, providing a screw and screwing it.
- The object of the invention is to provide a fastening system for tubular Y-shaped dry heater of water heater with increased efficiency by improved heat transfer from the tubular heater through the protective tube to the heated fluid-water.
- This object is achieved by creating a fastening system for tubular Y-shaped dry heater of water heater, which is fixed in a protective tube by a retaining element.
- A fastening system for tubular Y-shaped dry heater of water heater according to the invention comprises at least one Y-shaped dry heater with Y-shaped bottom end, a flange with at least one protective tube in which the at least one Y-shaped dry heater is housed, wherein the at least one Y-shaped dry heater is fixed to the at least one protective tube by at least one retaining element. The retaining element is an elongated element, one end of which is fastened to the flange and second end of the retaining element is a support part for holding the at least one Y-shaped dry heater, at least part of the retaining element is flexible to provide the required tension.
- Preferably, the support part of the retaining element rests on the junction of the two arms of a Y-shaped end of the heater.
- Preferably, the retaining element is a clamp.
- The retaining element can be made of spring wire.
- In one embodiment of the invention, the fastening system comprises two Y-shaped dry heaters located in two protective tubes, respectively, and the retaining element is a U-shaped clamp fastened to the flange by its closed end. The two free ends of the U-shaped clamp hold the bottom ends of the two Y-shaped dry heaters, respectively.
- In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining element is fastened to the flange by fastening elements.
- It is advantageous if one end of the retaining element is fastened to an anode fastening stud bolt which passes through the flange.
- In this embodiment, it is possible for the fastening elements to be a first spring washer, first nut, second spring washer and second nut arranged sequentially on the flange and mounted to the anode fastening stud bolt, wherein the fastening element of the retaining element is located between the first nut and the second spring washer.
- In one embodiment of the invention, a sleeve is fitted around the at least one heater, on which sleeve the second end of the retaining element is located, which is the support part for holding the at least one Y-shaped dry heater.
- A water heater with at least one tubular Y-shaped dry heater fastened by the fastening system according to the invention is also provided.
- The invention provides increased efficiency, ensures even distribution of the surface heat load of the heater and leads to increased life of the tubular heater due to the lower heat load, consequently less stress on the tube and the spiral in which the resistive conductor is placed.
- The invention is explained in more detail by a preferred embodiment of the fastening system for tubular Y-shaped dry heater of water heater according to the invention, given as a non-limiting example, with reference to the attached figures, where:
-
Figure 1 is an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the fastening system according to the invention, with two tubular Y-shaped dry heaters. -
