Description
The invention relates to a modular maintenance shuttle for an electric monorail system with a rail system.
Overhead conveyor systems have been known in the prior art for a long time and are often used to transport workpieces such as wheels, body parts or the like in production halls. The associated rail system of such an electric monorail can reach considerable lengths - for example several kilometers - and can sometimes be located in areas that can only be reached via the electric monorail itself. In order to carry out maintenance on the same in these areas of the rail system, it is necessary to transport an operator and maintenance person to the appropriate places.
It is an object of the invention to specify a possibility for transporting an operator or maintenance person to areas of a rail system of an electric monorail that is particularly easy to handle.
The object is achieved according to the invention by a maintenance shuttle according to claim 1.
The maintenance shuttle according to the invention for an electric monorail system with a rail system has a modular structure and has a chassis module and a maintenance cage module. The landing gear module and the maintenance basket module are designed so that the landing gear module can be hung in the rail system of the monorail system, the maintenance basket module can be coupled and decoupled with the chassis module and, in the coupled state, offers protection against an operator falling, and that the chassis module and the maintenance basket module can be installed by an operator at the place of use by means of bolts that can be locked and released manually - and can be dismantled.
According to the invention, it is therefore possible to separate the maintenance shuttle into at least two parts—a chassis module and a maintenance cage module—and to assemble them from these. The separating and assembling as well as the hanging of the running gear module in the rail system can be carried out by a single operator. In this way, the transport and maintenance can be carried out by a single operator using the modular maintenance shuttle.
An attachable ladder can also be provided for the maintenance shuttle.
In a preferred embodiment, the chassis module has at least two rollers and at least two guide rollers for each roller. For the installation of the maintenance shuttle on the rail system, one of the two guide rollers is designed so that it can be unlocked and swiveled out or swiveled in and locked. By unlocking or swinging out, the distance between the two guide rollers increases and the roller can be attached to the rail system. Pivoting or locking ensures that the respective roller does not become detached from the rail system. The maintenance cage module can preferably be coupled to the chassis module in such a way that an installation height of the maintenance cage module relative to the chassis module can be achieved that depends on the size of the operator. In this way, the maintenance shuttle can be adapted to the height of different operators without a separate device having to be provided for this purpose.
It is preferred if the maintenance shuttle has a safety pin/securing splint combination for coupling points between the chassis module and the maintenance basket module. It represents a simple and safe way to connect the two modules.
In a preferred embodiment it is provided that at least one of the rollers can be driven manually by means of a crank drive. In this context, it is particularly preferred if the manual crank drive can be replaced or supported by a battery-operated electric screwdriver. Thus, the operator can hang the maintenance shuttle at one point in the rail system of the electric monorail and then approach the point of the rail system to be serviced by manually actuating the crank drive, preferably with the support of the battery-operated electric screwdriver.
