Definitions

  • the invention relates to a closure cap for closing a container according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a container with such a closure cap according to the preamble of claim 16.
  • closure caps are known which are held captive on the container and close its pouring opening.
  • the holding function is also important because legal regulations are to be expected which require that closures on drinks bottles are captively attached to the drinks bottle even when opened.
  • EP 1 961 669 A2 describes such a captive screw cap with a guarantee strip which can be unscrewed from a cylindrical pourer.
  • the guarantee strip is held with a first end at the open end of the screw cap and with its second end at a retaining ring.
  • the guarantee strip has a length which is several times the circumference of the pourer and is accordingly wound around the pourer several times.
  • the lower edge of the guarantee strip therefore faces partly the retaining ring and partly the upper edge of the guarantee strip.
  • the upper edge faces partly the lower edge and partly the open end of the screw cap.
  • First predetermined breaking bars are provided between the lower edge and the retaining ring.
  • Second predetermined breaking bars are provided between the lower edge and the upper edge.
  • Third predetermined breaking bars are provided between the upper edge and the open end of the screw cap.
  • the first predetermined breaking bars have the lowest tear resistance
  • the second predetermined breaking bars have a slightly higher tear resistance
  • the third predetermined breaking bars have the highest tear resistance.
  • the predetermined breaking bars break one after the other from bottom to top when the screw cap is unscrewed. If the screw cap is the pourer is unscrewed, all the predetermined breaking bars are broken.
  • the sequential breaking of the predetermined breaking bars when unscrewing for the first time prevents the guarantee band from kinking, which can destroy it and make unscrewing more difficult.
  • the sequential breaking of the predetermined breaking bars enables the screw cap to be unscrewed for the first time in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • the DE 24 30 775 A1 also discloses a captive closure cap.
  • the cap consists of a screwable upper part and a lower collar that engages behind a bead on the container mouth.
  • the upper threaded part of the cap is connected to the lower collar via an easily tearable cylindrical tongue.
  • This tongue extends over the entire circumference and is connected to the upper part and the lower collar via an upper and lower row of connecting teeth.
  • This cylindrical tongue is interrupted at one point on the circumference so that it has two ends, one of which is firmly connected to the screwable cap part and the other firmly connected to the lower collar.
  • the connecting teeth of the upper and lower rows tear in an undefined manner when the cap is unscrewed.
  • a captive closure cap for closing a container is also known. After the threaded part of the cap has been unscrewed, it is held to the guarantee band with a catch band.
  • the catch band is kept as short as possible so that it deforms significantly when it is unscrewed for the first time and thus clearly indicates that it has already been unscrewed.
  • the short catch band has the disadvantage, however, that the threaded part is in an annoying position for the user when drinking from the container.
  • the invention is characterized in that the tear strength of the first and second predetermined breaking webs is set in such a way that when the threaded part is unscrewed, the first or the second predetermined breaking webs tear if they have the lower tear strength, whereby the retaining band remains on the threaded part or the guarantee band after the threaded part is unscrewed.
  • the first and second predetermined breaking elements do not tear in an undefined manner, but rather the predetermined breaking element with the lower tear strength tears when unscrewed.
  • the first or the second predetermined breaking element therefore tears in a defined manner.
  • the predetermined breaking element with the greater tear strength does not tear when the threaded part is unscrewed for the first time.
  • the retaining band is therefore held on the threaded part or the guarantee band after unscrewing and is in a position close to the container neck. In this position of the threaded part, it is held captive on the container and the contents can be poured out of the container without the threaded part getting in the way of the pouring stream. To do this, the container or the threaded part with the guarantee band must be turned so that the threaded part is above the pouring jet.
  • the threaded part may be too close to the user's face and therefore disturb the user when drinking. Therefore, the predetermined breaking element with the greater tear resistance can be broken manually. This means that the threaded part hangs on the retaining strap and is at a distance from the container neck or the guarantee band. In this position of the threaded part, it is comfortable to drink from the container. In addition, the threaded part can be held by the hand, which also holds the container when drinking. Depending on how the container is used, the invention makes it possible for the threaded part to be brought into a position in which it does not hinder the pouring out of the contents. In any case, the threaded part is held captive on the container.
  • the threaded part Regardless of which position the threaded part is brought into, it is always indicated whether the container has already been opened.
  • the first or second predetermined breaking element breaks and indicates that the container is no longer sealed in its original manner.
  • an internal thread is formed on the inside of the retaining band, which can interact with the external thread of the container neck.
  • This design means that the retaining band is positioned at a fixed distance from the threaded part by the external thread, as long as the internal threads of the threaded part and the retaining band run in the external thread.
  • the at least one second predetermined breaking element must tear when unscrewed, regardless of whether its tear strength and the tear strength of the at least one first predetermined breaking element are the same or whether its tear strength is greater than the tear strength of the at least one first predetermined breaking element. Consequently, in this design of the invention, the retaining band remains on the threaded part after unscrewing, regardless of the size of the tear strength of the at least one first and second predetermined breaking elements.
  • the first breaking element is a plurality of first webs and the second breaking element is a plurality of second webs.
  • the webs can be easily adapted to the desired tear strength by their dimensions, in particular by the dimensions of their cross-section. Walls with a corresponding wall thickness are also conceivable as breaking elements, which between the threaded part and the retaining band or between the retaining band and the guarantee band.
  • a plurality of first webs are arranged between the open edge of the threaded part and the first edge of the retaining strap.
  • the first webs can be manufactured with a certain tear resistance.
  • An additional advantage is that not all of the first webs have to be torn off by the user if the first webs have a higher tear resistance than the second webs. This means that the retaining strap can have a certain length by tearing off more or fewer first webs, which can be adapted to the use of the container.
  • a plurality of second webs are arranged between the guarantee band and the second edge of the retaining band.
  • the tear resistance of the first webs is the same and greater than the tear resistance of the second webs.
  • the retaining band remains on the threaded part when the threaded part is unscrewed. If necessary, the retaining band can be separated from the open edge of the threaded part after unscrewing. This can also be done in stages if not all of the first webs are torn off.
  • the tear resistance of the second webs is the same and greater than the tear resistance of the first webs.
  • the retaining band remains on the guarantee band when the threaded part is unscrewed. Since only the threaded part without the retaining band has to overcome the height of the container neck, it can be easily unscrewed. Since the retaining band remains on the guarantee band, its height does not have to be overcome when unscrewing.
  • first and second webs are arranged at equal intervals along the first and second edges respectively. This allows the threaded part to be unscrewed with equal force.
  • the length of the retaining strap can be selected in equal increments after unscrewing the threaded part.
  • first webs have the same cross-sectional area and the second webs have the same cross-sectional area.
  • the tear-off force is therefore constant for the first webs and the second webs respectively.
  • the invention is preferably characterized in that the retaining strap extends over a circular arc with an angle between 180 and 350 degrees and preferably with an angle between 270 and 350 degrees.
  • the required length of the retaining strap can be determined by the size of the circular arc angle. It goes without saying that in addition to the choice of the circular arc angle, the diameter of the threaded part also influences the length of the retaining strap.
  • the retaining strap has an optimal length, for example, when it reaches to the handle recess of the container. This allows the user to hold the container and the threaded part with one hand at the same time. This means that the threaded part does not dangle annoyingly from the container when filling material is being poured out or when drinking directly from the container.
  • a gap is expediently provided between the first end and the second end of the retaining strap.
  • the gap separates the first and second ends of the retaining strap from each other.
  • the gap is advantageously as narrow as possible so that the bottle neck area behind the retaining strap is protected as extensively as possible.
  • a gap that is as narrow as possible leads to a retaining strap that is as long as possible.
  • the gap is preferably between 0.5 mm and 5 mm wide.
  • the position of the guarantee band relative to the annular projection of the container neck can be changed in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction. Because the guarantee band can be moved upwards in the axial direction, it is pulled upwards when the threaded part is unscrewed until it hits the annular projection of the container neck. When the threaded part is turned further, the weaker first or second webs are torn off. The threaded part has then reached a sufficient height to be able to be folded away from the container neck. This necessary height is reached without the webs with the greater tear resistance having to be torn off. Because the guarantee band can be rotated in the circumferential direction, only a force is exerted on the webs in the axial direction and not in the circumferential direction. The tear resistance of the first and second webs can therefore be designed for a defined axial force.
  • the second end of the retaining band is made correspondingly long so that a gap can be provided between the first and second ends.
  • the second end is connected to the guarantee band along its entire length and is part of the guarantee band. This creates a recess for the retaining band on the guarantee band.
  • the first fixed connection between the first end of the retaining band and the open edge of the threaded part and/or the second fixed connection between the second end of the retaining band and the guarantee band is bendable.
  • the threaded part can be folded away along the first or second end after being unscrewed from the container neck and is not in the way when pouring out the contents.
  • an inwardly projecting inner cone e.g. in the form of a sealing cylinder or a sealing ring
  • the closure cap can therefore act as a so-called “cone sealer” and reliably seals the bottle neck.
  • the retaining band has a width of between 3 mm and 7 mm and preferably a width of between 4 mm and 5 mm. This dimensioning ensures that the retaining band does not tear off accidentally, especially if the webs with the higher tear resistance are torn off.
  • the closure cap is not too high and can be joined together to form a seal with standardized container necks with external threads.
  • the invention is also characterized in that the closure cap is designed to interact with a standardized container neck with an external thread and an annular projection.
  • the closure cap can therefore be placed on standardized container necks, in particular on PET beverage bottles.
  • Containers which are assembled with the closure cap according to the invention therefore do not have to be specially adapted to the closure cap.
  • the closure cap is preferably made of a plastic material, preferably HDPE (high density polyethylene) or PP (polypropylene).
  • the closure cap can therefore be made of standard plastic materials from which well-known closure caps with a guarantee ring are also made.
  • the threaded part, the inner cone, the guarantee band, the retaining band and the at least one first and second predetermined breaking element are made in one piece. This allows the closure cap to be produced in an injection mold without further processing steps being necessary to form the retaining band.
  • a further aspect of the invention relates to a container having a container body, a container neck adjoining the container body, an external thread formed on the container neck and a closure cap according to the above description. Because the at least one first predetermined breaking element and the at least second predetermined breaking element have different tensile or tear strengths, all of the first or all of the second predetermined breaking elements break when the closure cap is unscrewed from the container neck. The predetermined breaking elements on the retaining band opposite the broken first or second predetermined breaking elements remain intact when unscrewed and hold the retaining ring on the threaded part or on the guarantee band. As a result, the threaded part is in a defined position relative to the container neck after unscrewing.
  • the threaded part does not hinder the pouring of a filling material. If the threaded part is to be at a greater distance from the container neck, any number of unbroken predetermined breaking elements can be torn off manually. This can prevent the threaded part from getting in the way of the user of the container, for example when drinking from the container, due to its short distance to the container neck.
  • a recess having a depth is provided on the container body, into which recess the closure cap can be received.
  • the closure cap when removed or unscrewed from the container neck, has a defined holder and prevents it from protruding into the pouring stream during use of the container and This makes it difficult to use the container. Because it can be picked up or held in the recess, the cap is not in the way when drinking directly from the container.
  • closure cap is held in the recess by a positive and/or frictional connection when the closure cap is accommodated in the recess.
  • the positive and/or frictional connection enable a detachable connection between the recess and the closure cap.
  • the frictional connection can be achieved by making the inner dimensions of the recess slightly smaller than the outer dimensions of the closure cap. This creates a press fit between the recess and the closure cap.
  • the recess it is also conceivable for the recess to have an elliptically shaped wall and for the cylindrically shaped closure cap to be held at the two side vertices of the elliptical recess.
  • a positive connection can be achieved by projections on the inner wall of the recess and/or on the outer wall of the closure cap, which interact with corresponding recesses on the outer wall of the closure cap or the inner wall of the recess. This allows the closure cap to snap into the recess.
  • the positive connection can be released at any time by pulling the closure cap out of the recess.
  • the distance between the recess and the guarantee band is no greater than the length of the retaining band between the first and second ends. This means that the closure cap can reach the recess and be inserted into it without the retaining band being too short.
  • the recess has a cylindrical shape with a base and a surface defining the depth of the recess, the inner diameter of the recess essentially corresponding to the outer diameter of the closure cap.
  • the recess therefore essentially has the negative shape of the closure cap. If there is a frictional connection between the closure cap and the recess, the inner diameter the recess is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the closure cap and therefore there is a press fit between the recess and the closure cap.
  • the depth of the recess is ⁇ the height of the closure cap. This means that the closure cap protrudes from the recess and can be easily grasped in the area of the casing that protrudes above the recess in order to remove it from the recess. It would also be conceivable for the closure cap to be pulled out of the recess using the retaining strap.
  • a closure cap is shown, which is designated overall with the reference number 11.
  • the closure cap 11 is captively attached to a container 13, in particular held on a bottle 13.
  • the closure cap 11 comprises a cylindrical threaded part 15, a guarantee band 17 and a retaining band 19.
  • the threaded part 15 comprises a base 21 and a first cylindrical casing 23 with an open edge 25.
  • An internal thread 27 is formed on the inside of the casing 23.
  • the container 13 comprises a container body 28 and a container neck 29 adjoining the container body 28.
  • the container neck 29 is designed as a second cylindrical casing.
  • An external thread 31 is formed on the container neck 29, which interacts with the internal thread 27. This allows the threaded part 15 to be screwed onto and off the container neck 29.
  • the closure cap 11 closes the pouring opening 32, which is provided inside the container neck 29.
  • the guarantee band 17 is held in a form-fitting manner on the container neck 13.
  • an annular projection is formed on the outside of the container neck 29, which can be gripped by projections formed on the inside of the guarantee band 17 (not shown in the figures).
  • the guarantee band 17 can be rotated relative to the container neck 29.
  • the retaining band 19 has a first end 33 and a second end 35.
  • the first end 33 is firmly connected to the open edge 25.
  • the second end 35 is firmly connected to the guarantee band 17.
  • the retaining band also has a first edge 37 and a second edge 39.
  • the first edge 37 is connected to the open edge 25 by a plurality of first predetermined breaking webs 41 and the second edge 39 is detachably connected to the guarantee band 17 by a plurality of second predetermined breaking webs 43. It is preferred if the retaining band 19 has a width between 4 mm and 5 mm so that it is sufficiently stable and that it can be manually pulled off the threaded part 15 or the guarantee band 17.
  • the first and second predetermined breaking webs 41, 43 have different tear strengths. This means that the first predetermined breaking webs 41 can have a greater tear strength than the second predetermined breaking webs 43 or the second predetermined breaking webs 43 can have a greater tear strength than the first predetermined breaking webs 41.
  • the first and second predetermined breaking webs 41, 43 are arranged or formed at equal intervals on the first edge 37 or on the second edge 39. It is also preferred if the cross-sectional areas of the first predetermined breaking webs 41 are equal and if the cross-sectional areas of the second predetermined breaking webs 43 are equal.
  • first and second predetermined breaking webs 41, 43 have different tensile and tear strengths, either the first predetermined breaking webs 41 or the second predetermined breaking webs 43 break when the threaded part 15 is unscrewed.
  • the retaining band 19 therefore remains on the threaded part 15 or on the guarantee band 17.
  • the guarantee band 17 can be displaced by a few millimeters in the axial direction relative to the annular projection of the container neck. This means that the retaining band 19 can remain completely on the threaded part 15 or on the guarantee band 17, since the retaining band 19 does not have to provide any "height" between the threaded part 15 and the guarantee band 17 when the threaded part 15 is unscrewed.
  • the embodiment is shown in which the second predetermined breaking webs 43 have a lower tear resistance than the first predetermined breaking webs 41.
  • the second predetermined breaking webs 43 tear when unscrewed and the retaining band 19 remains on the threaded part 15 when unscrewed.
  • the connection between the second end 35 and the guarantee band is bendable, whereby the threaded part 15 can be bent away from the container neck 29.
  • the position of the threaded part as in Figure 2 shown is optimal for pouring liquid from the bottle 13 into a glass. The threaded part 15 does not get in the way of the liquid jet.
  • the threaded part 15 can be adjusted according to the position in Figure 2 disturb when drinking. Then the retaining band 19 can also be pulled off the threaded part 15 by tearing off the first predetermined breaking webs 41. This leads to a position of the threaded part 15 as in Figure 3 shown. The threaded part 15 is still held on the bottle 13, but is no longer in the way of the user when drinking from the bottle 13. The threaded part 15 can be held together with the bottle 13 on the grip recess 45 while drinking. It is also possible to tear off only some of the first predetermined breaking webs 41 in order to obtain a suitable length of the retaining band 19. It is also conceivable that when the threaded part 15 is unscrewed, the retaining band 19 remains on the guarantee band 17. In this case, it is preferred if the connection between the first end 33 and the guarantee band 17 is bendable.
  • the length of the retaining strap 19 can be determined by the angle of the circular arc, the length of which corresponds to the length of the retaining strap 19.
  • the preferred angle of the circular arc is between 270 and 350 degrees.
  • the retaining strap 19 has the correct length so that the threaded part 15 can be held with one hand together with the bottle 13 while drinking from the bottle 13.
  • the length of the retaining strap also depends on the diameter of the closure cap 11. It can therefore be useful to reduce the angle of the circular arc for larger diameters, for example closure caps with an external diameter of 38 mm, so that the retaining strap 19 has the desired length and the captive threaded part 15 does not get in the way when using the container 13.
  • a gap 47 is provided on the closure cap 11 between the first and the second end 33,35 of the retaining band 19 so that the retaining band 19 has a first and a second end 33,35.

  • the recess 49 has a cylindrical shape with a base 51 and a lateral surface 53.
  • the recess 49 is preferably provided or formed in the shoulder region 55 of the container.
  • the shoulder region 55 forms the transition between the cylindrical part 57 of the container body 28 and the container neck 29.

Description

Gebiet der Erfindungfield of the invention

The invention relates to a closure cap for closing a container according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a container with such a closure cap according to the preamble of claim 16.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

From the state of the art in the field of plastic closure caps with a guarantee band, closure caps are known which are held captive on the container and close its pouring opening. The holding function is also important because legal regulations are to be expected which require that closures on drinks bottles are captively attached to the drinks bottle even when opened.

In the EP 1 961 669 A2 describes such a captive screw cap with a guarantee strip which can be unscrewed from a cylindrical pourer. The guarantee strip is held with a first end at the open end of the screw cap and with its second end at a retaining ring. The guarantee strip has a length which is several times the circumference of the pourer and is accordingly wound around the pourer several times. The lower edge of the guarantee strip therefore faces partly the retaining ring and partly the upper edge of the guarantee strip. The upper edge faces partly the lower edge and partly the open end of the screw cap. First predetermined breaking bars are provided between the lower edge and the retaining ring. Second predetermined breaking bars are provided between the lower edge and the upper edge. Third predetermined breaking bars are provided between the upper edge and the open end of the screw cap. The first predetermined breaking bars have the lowest tear resistance, the second predetermined breaking bars have a slightly higher tear resistance and the third predetermined breaking bars have the highest tear resistance. As a result, the predetermined breaking bars break one after the other from bottom to top when the screw cap is unscrewed. If the screw cap is the pourer is unscrewed, all the predetermined breaking bars are broken. The sequential breaking of the predetermined breaking bars when unscrewing for the first time prevents the guarantee band from kinking, which can destroy it and make unscrewing more difficult. In addition, the sequential breaking of the predetermined breaking bars enables the screw cap to be unscrewed for the first time in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

The DE 24 30 775 A1 also discloses a captive closure cap. The cap consists of a screwable upper part and a lower collar that engages behind a bead on the container mouth. The upper threaded part of the cap is connected to the lower collar via an easily tearable cylindrical tongue. This tongue extends over the entire circumference and is connected to the upper part and the lower collar via an upper and lower row of connecting teeth. This cylindrical tongue is interrupted at one point on the circumference so that it has two ends, one of which is firmly connected to the screwable cap part and the other firmly connected to the lower collar. The connecting teeth of the upper and lower rows tear in an undefined manner when the cap is unscrewed. As a result, after unscrewing, teeth on the upper and lower rows are partially torn and partially still connected to the cap part and the lower collar. When pouring out liquid, the cap dangling from the container can prove to be a nuisance as it can protrude into the flow of liquid and cause liquid to spill.

From the DE 93 18 243 U1 A captive closure cap for closing a container is also known. After the threaded part of the cap has been unscrewed, it is held to the guarantee band with a catch band. The catch band is kept as short as possible so that it deforms significantly when it is unscrewed for the first time and thus clearly indicates that it has already been unscrewed. The short catch band has the disadvantage, however, that the threaded part is in an annoying position for the user when drinking from the container.

Aufgabe der Erfindungtask of the invention

It is therefore an object of the invention to prevent the disadvantages described above by providing a captive closure cap which does not hinder any use of the container to be closed.

BeschreibungDescription

The solution to the stated problem is achieved in a closure cap for closing a container by the features stated in the characterizing section of patent claim 1. Further developments and/or advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent patent claims.

The invention is characterized in that the tear strength of the first and second predetermined breaking webs is set in such a way that when the threaded part is unscrewed, the first or the second predetermined breaking webs tear if they have the lower tear strength, whereby the retaining band remains on the threaded part or the guarantee band after the threaded part is unscrewed. When the threaded part is unscrewed, the first and second predetermined breaking elements do not tear in an undefined manner, but rather the predetermined breaking element with the lower tear strength tears when unscrewed. When the threaded part is unscrewed, the first or the second predetermined breaking element therefore tears in a defined manner. The predetermined breaking element with the greater tear strength, on the other hand, does not tear when the threaded part is unscrewed for the first time. The retaining band is therefore held on the threaded part or the guarantee band after unscrewing and is in a position close to the container neck. In this position of the threaded part, it is held captive on the container and the contents can be poured out of the container without the threaded part getting in the way of the pouring stream. To do this, the container or the threaded part with the guarantee band must be turned so that the threaded part is above the pouring jet.

If the container is to be drunk directly from, the threaded part may be too close to the user's face and therefore disturb the user when drinking. Regardless of which position the threaded part is brought into, it is always indicated whether the container has already been opened. When the threaded part is unscrewed for the first time, the first or second predetermined breaking element breaks and indicates that the container is no longer sealed in its original manner.

It is also conceivable that an internal thread is formed on the inside of the retaining band, which can interact with the external thread of the container neck. This design means that the retaining band is positioned at a fixed distance from the threaded part by the external thread, as long as the internal threads of the threaded part and the retaining band run in the external thread. As a result, the at least one second predetermined breaking element must tear when unscrewed, regardless of whether its tear strength and the tear strength of the at least one first predetermined breaking element are the same or whether its tear strength is greater than the tear strength of the at least one first predetermined breaking element. Consequently, in this design of the invention, the retaining band remains on the threaded part after unscrewing, regardless of the size of the tear strength of the at least one first and second predetermined breaking elements.

The first breaking element is a plurality of first webs and the second breaking element is a plurality of second webs. The webs can be easily adapted to the desired tear strength by their dimensions, in particular by the dimensions of their cross-section. Walls with a corresponding wall thickness are also conceivable as breaking elements, which between the threaded part and the retaining band or between the retaining band and the guarantee band.

A plurality of first webs are arranged between the open edge of the threaded part and the first edge of the retaining strap. The first webs can be manufactured with a certain tear resistance. An additional advantage is that not all of the first webs have to be torn off by the user if the first webs have a higher tear resistance than the second webs. This means that the retaining strap can have a certain length by tearing off more or fewer first webs, which can be adapted to the use of the container.

A plurality of second webs are arranged between the guarantee band and the second edge of the retaining band. The advantages for the first webs explained in the last paragraph also apply to a plurality of second webs.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the tear resistance of the first webs is the same and greater than the tear resistance of the second webs. In this embodiment, the retaining band remains on the threaded part when the threaded part is unscrewed. If necessary, the retaining band can be separated from the open edge of the threaded part after unscrewing. This can also be done in stages if not all of the first webs are torn off.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the tear resistance of the second webs is the same and greater than the tear resistance of the first webs. In this embodiment, the retaining band remains on the guarantee band when the threaded part is unscrewed. Since only the threaded part without the retaining band has to overcome the height of the container neck, it can be easily unscrewed. Since the retaining band remains on the guarantee band, its height does not have to be overcome when unscrewing.

It is advantageous if the first and second webs are arranged at equal intervals along the first and second edges respectively. This allows the threaded part to be unscrewed with equal force. In addition, the length of the retaining strap can be selected in equal increments after unscrewing the threaded part.

It has proven to be useful if the first webs have the same cross-sectional area and the second webs have the same cross-sectional area. The tear-off force is therefore constant for the first webs and the second webs respectively.

The invention is preferably characterized in that the retaining strap extends over a circular arc with an angle between 180 and 350 degrees and preferably with an angle between 270 and 350 degrees. The required length of the retaining strap can be determined by the size of the circular arc angle. It goes without saying that in addition to the choice of the circular arc angle, the diameter of the threaded part also influences the length of the retaining strap. The retaining strap has an optimal length, for example, when it reaches to the handle recess of the container. This allows the user to hold the container and the threaded part with one hand at the same time. This means that the threaded part does not dangle annoyingly from the container when filling material is being poured out or when drinking directly from the container.

A gap is expediently provided between the first end and the second end of the retaining strap. The gap separates the first and second ends of the retaining strap from each other. The gap is advantageously as narrow as possible so that the bottle neck area behind the retaining strap is protected as extensively as possible. In addition, a gap that is as narrow as possible leads to a retaining strap that is as long as possible. The gap is preferably between 0.5 mm and 5 mm wide.

In another particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the position of the guarantee band relative to the annular projection of the container neck can be changed in the axial direction and in the circumferential direction.

It is expedient to provide a recess for receiving the retaining band on the edge of the guarantee band facing the retaining band. If the retaining band is designed to be short, the second end of the retaining band is made correspondingly long so that a gap can be provided between the first and second ends. The second end is connected to the guarantee band along its entire length and is part of the guarantee band. This creates a recess for the retaining band on the guarantee band.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the first fixed connection between the first end of the retaining band and the open edge of the threaded part and/or the second fixed connection between the second end of the retaining band and the guarantee band is bendable. As a result, the threaded part can be folded away along the first or second end after being unscrewed from the container neck and is not in the way when pouring out the contents.

It has proven to be useful if an inwardly projecting inner cone, e.g. in the form of a sealing cylinder or a sealing ring, is formed on the base of the threaded part, which is designed to cooperate sealingly with the inner wall of the container neck in the closed position. The closure cap can therefore act as a so-called "cone sealer" and reliably seals the bottle neck.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining band has a width of between 3 mm and 7 mm and preferably a width of between 4 mm and 5 mm. This dimensioning ensures that the retaining band does not tear off accidentally, especially if the webs with the higher tear resistance are torn off. In addition, the closure cap is not too high and can be joined together to form a seal with standardized container necks with external threads.

The invention is also characterized in that the closure cap is designed to interact with a standardized container neck with an external thread and an annular projection. The closure cap can therefore be placed on standardized container necks, in particular on PET beverage bottles. Containers which are assembled with the closure cap according to the invention therefore do not have to be specially adapted to the closure cap.

The closure cap is preferably made of a plastic material, preferably HDPE (high density polyethylene) or PP (polypropylene). The closure cap can therefore be made of standard plastic materials from which well-known closure caps with a guarantee ring are also made.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the threaded part, the inner cone, the guarantee band, the retaining band and the at least one first and second predetermined breaking element are made in one piece. This allows the closure cap to be produced in an injection mold without further processing steps being necessary to form the retaining band.

A further aspect of the invention relates to a container having a container body, a container neck adjoining the container body, an external thread formed on the container neck and a closure cap according to the above description. In this position of the threaded part, the threaded part does not hinder the pouring of a filling material. If the threaded part is to be at a greater distance from the container neck, any number of unbroken predetermined breaking elements can be torn off manually. This can prevent the threaded part from getting in the way of the user of the container, for example when drinking from the container, due to its short distance to the container neck.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, a recess having a depth is provided on the container body, into which recess the closure cap can be received. As a result, the closure cap, when removed or unscrewed from the container neck, has a defined holder and prevents it from protruding into the pouring stream during use of the container and This makes it difficult to use the container. Because it can be picked up or held in the recess, the cap is not in the way when drinking directly from the container.

It has proven to be advantageous if the closure cap is held in the recess by a positive and/or frictional connection when the closure cap is accommodated in the recess. This means that the closure cap can be inserted into the recess at any time when the container is in use. After the container has been used, the closure cap can be removed from the recess and screwed back onto the container. The positive and/or frictional connection enable a detachable connection between the recess and the closure cap. The frictional connection can be achieved by making the inner dimensions of the recess slightly smaller than the outer dimensions of the closure cap. This creates a press fit between the recess and the closure cap. It is also conceivable for the recess to have an elliptically shaped wall and for the cylindrically shaped closure cap to be held at the two side vertices of the elliptical recess. A positive connection can be achieved by projections on the inner wall of the recess and/or on the outer wall of the closure cap, which interact with corresponding recesses on the outer wall of the closure cap or the inner wall of the recess. This allows the closure cap to snap into the recess. The positive connection can be released at any time by pulling the closure cap out of the recess.

It is advisable for the distance between the recess and the guarantee band to be no greater than the length of the retaining band between the first and second ends. This means that the closure cap can reach the recess and be inserted into it without the retaining band being too short.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the recess has a cylindrical shape with a base and a surface defining the depth of the recess, the inner diameter of the recess essentially corresponding to the outer diameter of the closure cap. The recess therefore essentially has the negative shape of the closure cap. If there is a frictional connection between the closure cap and the recess, the inner diameter the recess is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the closure cap and therefore there is a press fit between the recess and the closure cap.

Advantageously, the depth of the recess is ≤ the height of the closure cap. This means that the closure cap protrudes from the recess and can be easily grasped in the area of the casing that protrudes above the recess in order to remove it from the recess. It would also be conceivable for the closure cap to be pulled out of the recess using the retaining strap.

In the Figures 1 to 3 a closure cap is shown, which is designated overall with the reference number 11. The closure cap 11 is captively attached to a container 13, in particular held on a bottle 13. The closure cap 11 comprises a cylindrical threaded part 15, a guarantee band 17 and a retaining band 19.

The threaded part 15 comprises a base 21 and a first cylindrical casing 23 with an open edge 25. An internal thread 27 is formed on the inside of the casing 23. The container 13 comprises a container body 28 and a container neck 29 adjoining the container body 28. The container neck 29 is designed as a second cylindrical casing. An external thread 31 is formed on the container neck 29, which interacts with the internal thread 27. This allows the threaded part 15 to be screwed onto and off the container neck 29. The closure cap 11 closes the pouring opening 32, which is provided inside the container neck 29.

The guarantee band 17 is held in a form-fitting manner on the container neck 13. For this purpose, an annular projection is formed on the outside of the container neck 29, which can be gripped by projections formed on the inside of the guarantee band 17 (not shown in the figures). The guarantee band 17 can be rotated relative to the container neck 29.

The retaining band 19 has a first end 33 and a second end 35. The first end 33 is firmly connected to the open edge 25. The second end 35 is firmly connected to the guarantee band 17. As a result, the closure cap 11 is held captively on the container 13. The retaining band also has a first edge 37 and a second edge 39. The first edge 37 is connected to the open edge 25 by a plurality of first predetermined breaking webs 41 and the second edge 39 is detachably connected to the guarantee band 17 by a plurality of second predetermined breaking webs 43. It is preferred if the retaining band 19 has a width between 4 mm and 5 mm so that it is sufficiently stable and that it can be manually pulled off the threaded part 15 or the guarantee band 17.

The first and second predetermined breaking webs 41, 43 have different tear strengths. This means that the first predetermined breaking webs 41 can have a greater tear strength than the second predetermined breaking webs 43 or the second predetermined breaking webs 43 can have a greater tear strength than the first predetermined breaking webs 41. Preferably, the first and second predetermined breaking webs 41, 43 are arranged or formed at equal intervals on the first edge 37 or on the second edge 39. It is also preferred if the cross-sectional areas of the first predetermined breaking webs 41 are equal and if the cross-sectional areas of the second predetermined breaking webs 43 are equal.

Because the first and second predetermined breaking webs 41, 43 have different tensile and tear strengths, either the first predetermined breaking webs 41 or the second predetermined breaking webs 43 break when the threaded part 15 is unscrewed. After the threaded part 15 is unscrewed, the retaining band 19 therefore remains on the threaded part 15 or on the guarantee band 17. The guarantee band 17 can be displaced by a few millimeters in the axial direction relative to the annular projection of the container neck. This means that the retaining band 19 can remain completely on the threaded part 15 or on the guarantee band 17, since the retaining band 19 does not have to provide any "height" between the threaded part 15 and the guarantee band 17 when the threaded part 15 is unscrewed.

In Figure 2 the embodiment is shown in which the second predetermined breaking webs 43 have a lower tear resistance than the first predetermined breaking webs 41. As a result, the second predetermined breaking webs 43 tear when unscrewed and the retaining band 19 remains on the threaded part 15 when unscrewed. Preferably, the connection between the second end 35 and the guarantee band is bendable, whereby the threaded part 15 can be bent away from the container neck 29. The position of the threaded part as in Figure 2 shown is optimal for pouring liquid from the bottle 13 into a glass. The threaded part 15 does not get in the way of the liquid jet.

If you want to drink directly from the bottle 13, the threaded part 15 can be adjusted according to the position in Figure 2 disturb when drinking.

The length of the retaining strap 19 can be determined by the angle of the circular arc, the length of which corresponds to the length of the retaining strap 19. The preferred angle of the circular arc is between 270 and 350 degrees. At this angle, the retaining strap 19 has the correct length so that the threaded part 15 can be held with one hand together with the bottle 13 while drinking from the bottle 13. It goes without saying that the length of the retaining strap also depends on the diameter of the closure cap 11. It can therefore be useful to reduce the angle of the circular arc for larger diameters, for example closure caps with an external diameter of 38 mm, so that the retaining strap 19 has the desired length and the captive threaded part 15 does not get in the way when using the container 13.

A gap 47 is provided on the closure cap 11 between the first and the second end 33,35 of the retaining band 19 so that the retaining band 19 has a first and a second end 33,35.

The closure cap 11 is made of a plastic. Preferred plastics include PP and HDPE.

In the Figures 4 to 6 the container 13 is shown in an embodiment in which a recess 49 is provided on the container body 28. The recess 49 has a cylindrical shape with a base 51 and a lateral surface 53. The recess 49 is preferably provided or formed in the shoulder region 55 of the container. The shoulder region 55 forms the transition between the cylindrical part 57 of the container body 28 and the container neck 29.

In the Figures 5 and 6 the closure cap 11 is shown when it is received in the recess 49 or inserted into the recess 49. So that the retaining strap 19 does not get in the way, the closure cap 11 must be inserted into the recess 49 with its side facing away from the retaining strap first. The closure cap 11 must be held in the recess 49 so that it does not fall out of the recess 49 when the container 13 is used. The closure cap 11, in particular its outer wall 59, is therefore held by a frictional connection and/or a positive connection.

A frictional connection between the outer wall 59 and the lateral surface 53 can be achieved most easily by changing the outer diameter of the closure cap 11 is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the recess 49. This creates a press fit and the closure cap 11 is clamped in the recess.

A positive connection can be achieved by forming projections or depressions on the outer wall 59, which interact with corresponding depressions or projections formed on the jacket surface 53. This allows the closure cap 11 to snap into the recess 49.

The recess 49 is positioned on the container 13 such that the closure cap 11 reaches the recess 49 even though the closure cap 11 hangs on the retaining strap 19. The distance of the recess 49, in particular the area of the recess 49 which is closest to the container neck 29, is therefore to be selected such that it is at most as large as the length of the retaining strap 19 between the first end 33 and the second end 35.

It is preferred if the depth 61 of the recess 49 is less than or equal to the height 63 of the closure cap 11. These coordinated dimensions of the closure cap 11 and the recess 49 make it possible for the closure cap 11 to be gripped at its area protruding from the recess 49 and to be pulled out of the recess 49 in order to close the container 11 again.

The recess 49 enables the closure cap 11 removed from the container neck 29 to be secured to the container 13 so that it does not interfere when drinking from the container 11 or when pouring out the container contents.
