Abstract

Assembly device for a set of a toilet, whereby in the assembled state a blocking element (12) can be used to block any latching removability that would otherwise exist.

Description

The present invention relates to an assembly device for the detachable assembly of a fitting part on a toilet body.

Toilets (water closets) have a toilet body, often made of ceramic, with a toilet bowl. Furthermore, a toilet seat and a lid are usually provided. The toilet seat is used by the user to sit on and can regularly be folded up around an axis that is transverse to the rear of the toilet. The same applies to a toilet lid that is also usually provided for closing the toilet bowl, which usually also covers the seat.

In the following, the parts of the toilet seat and toilet lid are generally referred to as a "set part", with this in addition to a toilet seat and a toilet lid in each case also in the case of a combination thereof, that is to say a complete toilet set, includes. In this last-mentioned case, the seat or the cover can then be the object of assembly on the toilet body, or both can also be assembled together using the assembly device in question here.

It goes without saying that toilets have to be cleaned particularly frequently and thoroughly and that cleaning is an essential aspect in terms of usage properties. Accordingly, it is basically known to provide fastening devices with which these parts can be dismantled individually or together in a simplified manner from the toilet body. "Simplified" means that, for example, the loosening of screw connections with which fastening pins are mounted reaching through vertical holes in the toilet body is too cumbersome for regular cleaning and cleaning personnel and therefore dismantling is dispensed with.

In particular, solutions are known in which, in the manner of a latching connection, a fitting part can be snapped onto fastening pins, which in turn are mounted on the toilet body, and can be mounted in this way. These set parts can then be pulled off upwards again when the latching is overcome, that is to say with a certain amount of force. In this context, "quick release" fittings are often referred to.

In addition, there are numerous solutions in the prior art in which actuation elements are actuated by the cleaning staff in order to thereby release a fastening and to remove a fitting part from a fastening element on the toilet body side. Reference is made to the older application as an example EP 18 153 798 by the same applicant and also the prior art cited there.

A specific solution according to the WO 2015/166111 A1 or, somewhat modified, the WO 2016/071487 A1 provides a lock that can be released by pressing a button on the side, the locking being effected by a rod spring and its engagement in a groove on a fastening pin on the toilet body side. The corresponding engagement or form fit must be released by pressing a button so that the toilet set can be lifted off. After being put back on again, this locks, restoring the intervention and can then no longer be released without pressing a button.

The present invention is based on the object of specifying an assembly device that has been further developed with regard to the detachability of a fitting part from the toilet body for cleaning purposes.

For this purpose, the invention is directed to an assembly device for assembling a set on a toilet body, with two mutually complementary fastening elements, of which a first fastening element is to be attached to the toilet body and a second fastening element is to be attached to the set, with one of the fastening elements, preferably the second, a form-fit element for establishing and releasing a positive fit with the other fastening element for fastening the set part on the toilet body by coupling the two fastening elements, the positive fit element being movable between a positive fit position corresponding to this positive fit and a release position releasing the positive fit, when acted upon by an elastic force, characterized by a blocking element of the fastening element having the form-locking element, which blocking element is movable between a blocking position and a release position and in the blocking position blocks the form-locking element in the form-locking position, the form-locking element when the blocking element is in the release position as a result of the elastic force in the form-locking position remains, the other fastening element, when the blocking element is in the release position, by applying force to the fastening elements against each other and nter release of the form-fit between it and the form-fit element can be released by moving the form-fit element out of the form-fit position against the elastic force from the coupling with the fastening element having the form-fit element. It is also aimed at advantageous uses of such an assembly device and a fitting part equipped with it.

According to the invention, the set is fastened to the toilet body by a form fit between two fastening elements, one of which is to be attached or attached to the toilet body and the other to the set. One of these, preferably the one provided on the fitting part and referred to here as the "second fastening element", has the form-locking element for this purpose. This is acted upon by an elastic force, so it is subject to an elastic return, against which it can be moved from the form-fit position into the release position. The form-fit element is therefore pretensioned.

In contrast to the prior art from the two WO documents cited above, the blocking element is additionally provided according to the invention, which blocks the form-fit element in its form-fit position when the blocking element is in its blocking position. From this it is in turn movable into a release position. However, this does not mean that the form-fit element therefore also automatically moves out of the form-fit position. Rather, the form-fit element is held in the form-fit position by the elastic force.

The fastening brought about by this form fit can, however, be released according to the invention, namely by applying a force to each other or, in the assembled state, the fitting part with the assembly device and the toilet body. In particular, you can so on the garnish z. B. pull upwards and thereby the described form fit is released, so the form fit element moves against the elastic force in its release position. This can e.g. B. be brought about by suitable shaping of the parts of the fastening element (which does not have the form-locking element) and / or the form-locking element that are relevant for the form fit, for example by bevels.

The blocking element can be used to distinguish between two functional states, namely, on the one hand, a non-releasable assembly state (blocking position) (without movement of the blocking element) and, on the other hand, a fastening state that can be disengaged and re-assembled (release position of the blocking element and movement of the form-fit element between its two positions). In the prior art, in particular in the two cited WO documents, the fastening elements can only be activated by an active unlocking, e.g. B. the keystroke, are released from each other, the keystroke canceling the form fit and thus there is no longer any detent. Without pressing a button, e.g. B. simply by pulling up the fitting part (or pulling one fastener against the other) no resolution of the attachment is possible.

On the other hand, there is in the prior art, as was already the case with the keyword "Quick Release" describes solutions that only have a latching or snap-on fastening, without the possibility of blocking.

The option according to the invention can, for. B. can be used by parents with children who want to prevent the children from releasing them at least at a certain age, but want to return to a "normal" quick release function later at their discretion. The same advantages result from the fact that one and the same product design can serve customers with the desire for such a blockage and customers without such a request.

In particular, when assembling the set or the complete set on the toilet body, a fitter can make the decision as to the position in which he leaves the blocking element. For example, in a private toilet, the blocking element can be placed in the release position so that the fitted set element offers a quick release function. On the other hand, it can e.g. B. be desired in a public toilet in a train station or park, to make vandalism or theft more difficult, so that the blocking element is left in the blocking position and thus the set could only be removed after moving the blocking element. In this context, the possibility of actuating the blocking element can be designed in such a way that it is difficult to access and / or only the initiated understand the functional context and / or actuation is only possible with a tool. This will be discussed in more detail below.

According to a preferred embodiment, the form-fit element itself is an elastic spring element and thus generates the elastic restoring force itself. In particular, it can be a bar spring, preferably with a curved shape (in the exemplary embodiment, an angular U-shape), which has a section responsible for the form-fit Has. In the assembled state, this is preferably horizontal and, in the form-fitting position, engages in an undercut of the other fastening element, for example one on the toilet body mounted and upward-pointing fastening pin, and thus establishes the form fit. This section can be moved from this form-fit position into a release position outside the undercut by a preferably horizontal movement. As already explained, z. B. by a bevel of a side flank of the undercut profile and / or a suitable shape of the cross-sectional profile of the bar spring, for example round, it can be ensured that this movement is also due to the application of force between the two fastening elements or the set and the toilet body ( in the assembled state) can be done in the sense of unlatching.

The blocking element can be designed as a rotatable part, the blocking position and the release position then corresponding to different rotational positions. In particular, a radial shoulder of the blocking element can block part of the form-fit element in the form-fit position and release it by turning it away (into the release position), with a radial recess adjacent to the shoulder then coming into effect. For example, the shoulder and the recess can prevent a portion of the rod spring from moving or release this movement.

In particular, the section of the rod spring relevant for the interaction with the blocking element can be a (preferably distal) region of a leg z. B. the already mentioned U-shape.

The rotary actuation of the blocking element can be carried out by actuating one axial end (relative to the axis of rotation), e.g. B. in which there is a suitable handle or the like is provided.

Particularly preferred, however, is a configuration of the axial end (or generally of the blocking element) that is suitable for actuation only with a tool. For example, a receptacle for a tool head can be provided, e.g. B. a receptacle for one end of a key with a form-fitting profile, z. B. a hexagonal profile. Recordings can of course also be considered for Phillips, Torx or other screwdrivers and the like.

In many cases, the fastening elements on the toilet body side are mounted to the toilet body in a manner in which there is also an interaction between a tool and the part of the fastening element above the toilet body. In particular, this part can, for. B. a fastening pin also have a receptacle for tool engagement, such as a hexagonal receptacle. A favorable embodiment of the invention provides an embodiment of the tool holder on the blocking element that is analogous to this tool holder, so that a fitter can use the tool, which is usually available anyway, and also z. B. can work with the same hex wrench size. Accordingly, he can easily place the blocking element in the desired position without significant additional effort during assembly.

In the assembled state, the axis of rotation of the blocking element is preferably horizontal and particularly preferably perpendicular to a pivot axis of the fitting part, which is usually pivotably mounted on the toilet body, i.e. can be folded up and down. This position of the blocking element enables a particularly compact design of the assembly device, wherein the blocking element can be arranged very close to the form fit between the form fit element and the (other) fastening element.

Such proximity is generally preferred, not only because of its small size, but also to limit the lever arms that occur. In other words, a close arrangement of the blocking element in this sense is stable. Specifically, in the case of a rotatable blocking element, the next distance between its axis of rotation and the form fit, preferably the rod spring engagement in the undercut, is at most 20 mm, the following values being even more preferred as further upper limits: 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13 mm.

Hindering or preventing the access of unauthorized persons to the blocking element or its actuation has already been mentioned above. A favorable solution for this is an arrangement under a cover of the assembly device. In this case, the existence and possibility of actuation of the blocking element cannot be recognized from the outside at all. First of all, a cover must be removed or at least moved in order to move the blocking element, in particular to bring it into the release position. Particularly preferably, after it has been attached to the assembly device, the cover can for its part latch in the final position (relative to the assembly device, not necessarily after it has been mounted on the toilet body). Then the cover is difficult to remove. For example, the cover can engage with the other fastening element, such as the fastening pin (on the toilet body), in a relatively "strict" manner.

In addition, the cover is preferably designed as a housing cap that largely covers the fastening element (which has the form-fitting element). If this is the "second" fastening element, that is to say the garment part-side, then the housing cap preferably covers this second fastening element over most of its outer surface. That outer surface is considered that is not covered by other elements anyway, in particular by the set or parts. Reference is made to the exemplary embodiment for illustration.

The blocking element is preferably a permanent part of the assembly device, that is, when it moves, it is not removed from the assembly device and reinserted for blocking, but only moved within the assembly device or on it. The same preferably applies to the form-fit element, regardless of the blocking element. This means that these parts cannot be lost.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment, with the individual features within the framework of the independent claims also being essential to the invention in other combinations and furthermore no individual distinction is made between the different claim categories.

In Figure 1 one recognizes an assembly device with which a toilet lid 2 and a toilet seat 3 are held on a toilet body 4 in a foldable manner. The illustration is cut vertically, the cutting plane running centrally through the axis of the foldability (shown horizontally with dashed lines) and centrally through a fastening pin 5 of the mounting device.

With this fastening pin 5, which is conventionally constructed, the mounting device, namely its horizontal, approximately cylindrical main part 1, is held on the toilet body 4 by a thread visible at the lower end of the fastening pin 5 and a thread screwed onto it , but not marked mother. The metal fastening pin 5 is held by a washer labeled 6 on the ceramic of the toilet body 4, the washer 6 covering a mounting hole in the toilet body 4 and securing the attachment through a certain inherent elasticity and avoiding damage to the ceramic. The mounting pin 5 is also in the Figures 2, 3 (for the other side), 6, 8 and 9 clearly visible. The main part 1 and the fastening pin 5 thus form the two fastening elements in the sense of the above description.

In an upper section, the fastening pin 5 has a groove 7 running horizontally in its circumferential direction, i.e. a double undercut, the upper undercut, i.e. the upper part of the cross-sectional profile, being beveled with respect to the vertical longitudinal axis of the fastening pin 5, here to about 45 °. Furthermore, the fastening pin 5 has a hexagonal engagement 8 for a 5 mm Allen key at its upper end-face end, with which it can be screwed against the aforementioned nut.

The fastening pin 5 engages from below into a receiving hole of the in Figure 1 horizontally lying main part 1 of the assembly device, compare also the Figures 14 and 17 , and is attached therein in a manner to be explained in more detail. The receiving hole has an opening at the top, see also that Figures 5 and 15th through which the Allen key can be inserted into the aforementioned receptacle 8. The actuation would therefore also be possible after the fastening pin 5 has been inserted into the receiving hole.

The horizontally lying main part 1 of the mounting device holds in a manner known per se two parts of the set, namely a toilet lid 2 and a toilet seat 3, the Figures 2 and 3 show more clearly that on the one facing away from the fastening pin 5 (in Figure 1 left) side a conventional rotary damper 9 is provided (in the following the reference numerals are not differentiated between the right and the left side, because the parts are largely identical). The distal end of the rotary damper 9 engages in a receiving sleeve 10, which in turn sits in a corresponding opening in the toilet lid 2, namely a sleeve 10 on the left and a sleeve 10 on the right. Thus, in the assembled state, the two fittings 2 and 3 can be folded in relation to the toilet body 4, with one of the two rotary dampers 9 damping the folding movement of the toilet lid 2 and the other rotary damper 9 damping the folding movement of the toilet seat 3 . This is not explained in detail because the embodiment is so far conventional.

Rather, the invention relates primarily to the fastening of the main part 1 on the fastening pin 5. For this purpose, the main part 1 contains a bar spring 11 mounted horizontally therein, which is mainly in the Figures 5-9 can be seen in the Figures 6-9 without the enveloping elements of the main part for better illustration. This bar spring 11 has a U-profile with a somewhat angular shape and can according to its functional position Figure 1 can be plugged in from the right and, according to FIG. 5, from the left. In this functional position, the two legs of the bar spring 11 each engage on opposite sides in the already mentioned groove 7, the circular cross-sectional profile of the bar spring 11 according to z. B. Figure 7 is completely absorbed in the groove. This is the form fit that has already been explained several times in the description and the bar spring 11 accordingly forms the form-locking element.

As far as the two legs of the bar spring 11 can be pushed apart in their functional position, by vigorously pulling the main part 1 or (one) of the set parts 2 and 3 upwards in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the fastening pin 5 through an interaction between the inclined part of the Cross-sectional profile of the groove 7 and the round cross-sectional profile of the rod spring 11, the latter are bent apart and the form fit is canceled. In this way, the set of fittings 2 and 3 (together in this exemplary embodiment) can be withdrawn from the fastening pin 5 in a disengaging manner upwards. Conversely, the set parts 2 and 3 can be latched onto the fastening pin 5 from above and fastened to it. In this respect, a so-called quick release function is given.

According to the invention, the main part 1 also has a blocking element 12, which according to FIGS Figures 6-9 has a roller-like shape, the axis of the blocking element 12, which is also rotatable about this axis, horizontal and perpendicular to the in Figure 1 shown folding axis of the set parts 2 and 3 (and thus as in Figure 7 drawn vertically). The rotatability is given simply by the fact that the roller-like shaped blocking element 12 is inserted into an adapted horizontal opening of the main part 1, compare for example FIG Figures 1 , 4th , 10, 11 and especially 17. The latter figure in particular shows that the blocking element 12 is held in this opening adapted to its shape.

At one in the Figures 3 , 4th , 6th , 8th , 9 , 16 and 17 towards the (obliquely) front-facing end face, the blocking element 12 likewise has a 5 mm hexagon socket, which is numbered 13. It can be operated with the same Allen key as the previously explained receptacle 8 of the fastening pin 5. In particular, the blocking element 12 can thus be between one of the Figures 7 , 8, 10 corresponding release position and one of the Figures 9 and 11 Turn the corresponding blocking position by about 90 °. An arrow visible in various figures shows the direction of rotation in the blocking position according to FIG the Figures 9 and 11 on.

The lateral surface of the blocking element 12 is radially smaller over part of the circumference than the end faces in an area that is axially spaced apart from the end faces, the corresponding free space of the blocking position being particularly well in Figure 9 visible shoulders 14 is narrowed. The distance between these shoulders 14 in the axial direction of the blocking element 12 corresponds approximately to the distance between the legs of the bar spring 11 in the relaxed state of the same, that is to say in the form of a positive fit. These shoulders 14 thus prevent the two legs from bending apart and block the bar spring 11, that is to say the form-fit element, in its form-fit position, compare Figure 9 . In Figure 11 this situation can be seen particularly clearly in a section perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the blocking element 12.

After a rotation of about 90 ° (based on Figure 6 counterclockwise) the shoulders 14 are turned laterally away from the area of the bar spring legs, compare Figure 8 , and spaces outside of the two legs come into play instead, which can be referred to as a radial setback of the lateral surface and each leave space for the two legs to the outside (in the direction of the end faces of the blocking element 12). This is particularly evident in the Figures 7 and 8th , in which Figure 10 with the section perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the blocking element 12 also corresponds to this situation.

In comparison of the Figures 10 and 11 it can also be seen that the design of the lateral surface of the blocking element 12 also ensures that the rod spring legs strike in the two positions shown. In other words, the radially recessed parts of the lateral surface are shaped somewhat angularly, so that the bar spring legs in the two positions shown each strike flat surface sections to the extent that the blocking element 12 cannot be rotated beyond the positions shown. These planar sections merge into one another somewhat angularly in the manner described and run into cylindrical and radial directions on their respective other longitudinal side outer surface parts from.

Realistically, this is not possible in normal operation; rather, once the housing cap 15 has been put on, it actually blocks access for users, in particular to the hexagonal engagement 13 of the blocking element 12.

Overall, a set of fittings or here a set of two fittings 2 and 3 can be mounted on a ceramic toilet body 4 in a largely customary manner with the aid of the assembly device according to the invention, with a quick release with regard to the fastening of the main part 1 on the fastening pin 5 -Function consists. In the sense of a factory setting, the blocking element 12 is initially in its release position. After sliding onto the fastening pin 5, the fitter can decide whether this quick release function should remain or, for example, because of a public location that is prone to theft or vandalism, the toilet set should be installed essentially permanently. In the latter case, he rotates the blocking element 12 by 90 ° into its blocking position with the Allen key, which is already used for the assembly of the fastening pins 5, and then pushes the housing cap 15 on. Afterwards, it is almost impossible for third parties to remove the toilet seat. In particular, such a possibility is not visible due to the closed design of the housing cap 15.

The present embodiment is not only particularly simple and effective, but also stable. This is also due to the fact that the axis of rotation of the blocking element 12 is arranged relatively close to the form fit between the bar spring 11 and the groove 7. The corresponding one in the Figures 8-11 The visible distance in the present case is less than 13 mm, the most stable middle part of the form fit, that is to say in fact the vertical longitudinal axis of the fastening bolt 5, being used. In addition, the parts used are not constructed in a filigree manner and geometrically relatively straightforward.
