Definitions
- the invention relates to a cap, in particular a removal cap for a container for receiving an enteral nutritional solution, as well as a sealing element for the removal cap.
- a cap in particular a removal cap for a container for receiving an enteral nutritional solution, as well as a sealing element for the removal cap.
- artificial nutrition often has to be carried out in order to meet their daily calorie requirements.
- nutritional solutions are administered through artificial nutrition, which are nutritionally balanced, i.e. which contain all important nutrients (e.g. carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, trace elements, minerals, and water, etc.) in the ratio required by the body.
- Artificial nutrition thus replaces some of the body's natural nutritional steps and is divided into two types, depending on the type of administration: parenteral nutrition, which is carried out by infusing nutrients directly into the bloodstream, and enteral nutrition, which is carried out directly through the gastrointestinal tract he follows. If possible, it is particularly preferable to perform long-term artificial nutrition through enteral nutrition, since enteral nutrition is closer to physiological nutrition.
- the infusion in parenteral nutrition is liquid and is carried out intravenously, usually through a venous catheter directly to a vein.
- the nutrients that are introduced into the body through enteral nutrition often have an increased viscosity. This often makes it difficult for food to escape from a container and can also lead to sedimentation of the nutritional solution into the container.
- Containers for receiving an enteral nutritional solution are, for example, standardly any type and shape of vessels and / or bags and / or bottles which are suitable for receiving an enteral nutritional solution.
- such containers have at least one removal opening through which the contents of the container can exit.
- the dimensions and / or the features of the removal opening are determined by the DIN 18250-3 standard, possibly in conjunction with DIN 80369-3.
- the containers for holding an enteral nutritional solution must be sterilized before the nutritional solution is filled in, since the nutritional solution must not be contaminated while it is being filled.
- the nutritional solution must continue to be kept sterile after filling, which is ensured by an airtight and liquid-tight cover of the removal opening.
- the cover is a seal, in particular a sealing film, and / or a sterilization film.
- the cover should prevent the nutrient solution from escaping or prevent contamination.
- a protective element e.g. a lid or a cap or the like
- a protective element can be placed on the removal opening of the container and connected to the container in order to protect the integrity of the container Obtain coverage and thus sterilization of the nutritional solution.
- the container In order to administer the nutritional solution, the container is usually connected to, for example, a drip chamber in such a way that a flow of the nutritional solution is made possible.
- the drip chamber serves to regulate the formation of drops of the administered nutritional solution and prevents the formation of air bubbles.
- the connection between the container and the drip chamber is made by a hollow removal mandrel, which is used to apply fluid from the container to the drip chamber
- the cover of the container is pierced by the removal mandrel and thus enables the nutritional solution to escape.
- the cover is usually pierced by a pointed end of the removal mandrel, which makes it easier to tear open the cover
- WO 2017/060445 A1 describes a lid for a container for receiving an enteral nutrient solution, with a thread which can be brought into engagement with a mating thread on a container for receiving an enteral nutrient solution, in order to provide an opening in to cover the container for receiving an enteral nutrient solution, and with a connecting piece for connecting a hose line.
- a tear-open aid is known from, for example WO2014 / 078404 .
- the object of the invention is to ensure a more efficient flow or flow of the nutritional solution between the container and the drip chamber by means of a removal mandrel. This object is at least partially achieved by a cap according to claim 1 and by a sealing element according to claim 9.
- the present invention relates to a removal cap, in particular for a container for receiving an enteral nutritional solution, having the features of claim 1.
- the sealing body is essentially hollow-circular and can thus have a center point.
- the sealing body is a seal.
- the sealing body ensures a liquid-tight connection between the removal cap and the container.
- the removal cap In the assembled state of the removal cap with the container, in particular the removal cap is arranged in the area of the removal opening of the container and is in contact with the attachment of the container.
- the removal cap is connected to and / or fastened to the attachment.
- the removal cap sits on the removal opening of the container and / or covers the removal opening at least partially.
- the sealing body In the assembled state of the removal cap with the container, for example, the sealing body is arranged between the opposite side of the removal cap and the cover of the container. In particular, the sealing body is arranged in close proximity to this side of the removal cap and to the cover. In the assembled state of the removal cap with the container, for example, the sealing body can be at least partially in contact with the opposite side of the removal cap and with the cover.
- the removal cap has a tear-open aid which is arranged below the receiving opening for the removal mandrel and in the area of the open end, e.g. in the open lumen of the removal cap.
- the tear-open aid is arranged between the receiving opening and the open front end.
- the tear-open aid When the removal mandrel is inserted, the tear-open aid is moved in the direction of the open front end.
- the tear-open aid can be a lamella, a disk and / or a plate.
- the tear-open aid is essentially flat.
- the through the The movement of the tear-open aid generated by the introduction of the removal mandrel can also be referred to below as a "tear-open aid movement".
- the tear-open aid comes into contact with the cover of the container during the tear-open aid movement and thus tears open the cover.
- the tear-open aid thus makes it possible to pierce an opening for the enteral nutrient solution to flow through, this opening being larger than an opening created by the removal mandrel.
- the flow of the nutritional solution between the container and the drip chamber is thus simplified and / or stabilized.
- the shape and / or the cross section of the tear-open aid can in particular essentially correspond to the desired shape of the opening produced by the tear-open aid.
- the removal cap and the removal mandrel form a coupling element which connects the container to a drip chamber in a flow.
- the open end of the removal cap is connected to the container while the removal mandrel is inserted into the receiving opening and is flow-connected to the drip chamber in order to enable the fluid to be fed from the container to the drip chamber.
- the removal cap In the assembled state of the removal cap with the container, the removal cap can be connected to the attachment of the container by a force fit connection and / or a form fit connection and / or a material connection.
- a screw thread is arranged in the area of the open end of the withdrawal cap a screw connection between the removal cap and the container.
- the removal cap can be a clip lock, whereby the clip of the removal cap, for example, can be anchored in two opposing depressions in the container.
- the removal cap can be a crown cap or an overlapping stopper and, in the assembled state, form a form-fitting connection with the border of the container. In this case, the boundary of the container is used as an approach.
- the removal cap can, for example, have a clamping ring which is arranged in particular in the area of the open front end.
- the clamping ring clamps the container, for example the shoulder, and thus forms a force-locking connection between the removal cap and the container.
- the removal cap is attached to the attachment of the container by the above-mentioned non-positive, positive and / or material connection and can, for example, serve as a protective element for the cover before the container is used (e.g. during transport and / or storage of the container).
- the receiving opening for the removal mandrel is a guide aid which, in particular, determines the alignment of the removal mandrel by means of a cross-sectional shape.
- the cross-sectional shape preferably does not have a rotational symmetry and, in particular, is not essentially circular.
- the cross-sectional shape is a cross, an oval, a rectangle, a star or the like.
- the guide limits the connection options between the removal cap and the removal mandrel, i.e. the possibilities according to which the removal mandrel can be inserted into the receiving opening. This simplifies the assembly of the removal mandrel with the removal cap, since possible sources of error during the assembly are essentially reduced.
- the guide ensures that the removal mandrel, in particular the pointed end thereof, is correctly positioned in relation to the tear-open aid, which optimizes the tear-open aid movement of the tear-open aid and thus the tearing open of the cover of the container.
- One embodiment of the dispensing cap according to the invention has a ventilation opening on the opposite side of the dispensing cap which, for example, enables ventilation into the container. This ventilation balances the pressure between the inside and outside of the container and thus simplifies the drainage of the nutritional solution from the container through the removal mandrel.
- the tear-open aid is formed in one piece with the sealing body.
- the tear-open aid and the sealing body in particular form a sealing element, since the tear-open aid and the sealing body are connected to one another.
- tear-open aid and the sealing body reduces the complexity of the production of the removal cap according to the invention, which among other things leads to material savings and / or cost reductions.
- the tear-open aid and the sealing body cannot be produced separately and independently from one another and then put on, but they can be produced in one piece, for example, by a relatively simple plastic injection molding process.
- the tear-open aid is arranged pivotably on the sealing body and thus forms in particular a sealing element.
- the tear-open aid movement of the tear-open aid is a pivoting movement in this case. After the cover has broken through, the tear-open aid pivots in relation to the opening arranged on the cover and thus does not block this opening, which further improves the flow of the nutritional solution between the container and the drip chamber through the removal mandrel.
- the tear-open aid extends radially in the direction of the center point and / or the center of gravity of the sealing body.
- the sealing body and thus the tear-open aid can be arranged in the immediate vicinity of the cover and in particular in contact with the cover.
- the tear-open aid thus tears open the cover at the beginning of the tear-open aid movement and the opening of the cover resulting therefrom is thus simplified and improved.
- the tear-open aid of one embodiment of the removal cap according to the invention is shaped with sharp edges on the outer contour.
- Such an outer contour makes it possible to achieve an opening arranged on the cover with clean cut edges and thus at least partially convey the shape of this opening by means of the tear-open aid.
- the tear-open aid with a sharp-edged outer contour increases the reliability of the opening in the cover, since the sharp-edged outer contour reduces the incidence of the incomplete cut lines generated by the tear-open aid.
- the tear-open aid can have at least one point in the direction of the center point and / or the center of gravity of the sealing body.
- the tear-open aid can have two tips and, in particular, the shape of a split tongue.
- the tear-open aid can have a plurality of tips and / or at least be in the shape of a ring.
- This tip simplifies the breakthrough of the cover and reduces the force which has to act through the tear-open aid to pierce the opening arranged on the cover. The tearing open of the cover of the container is thus made easier.
- the tear-open aid and the sealing body are connected to one another by means of a web area and, in particular, the tear-open aid and the sealing body form a sealing element which has the web area.
- the web area increases the pivoting flexibility of the tear-open aid in relation to the sealing body.
- the web area in particular can be a groove, which is arranged, for example, between the tear-open aid and the sealing body and / or is formed in one piece with the sealing body and the tear-open aid by, for example, a plastic injection molding process. If, for example, the tear-open aid and the sealing body are connected to one another by a material connection, the web area can be and / or have the weld seam between the tear-open aid and the sealing body.
- the web area can be formed by two opposing grooves. These grooves can be arranged between the tear-open aid and the sealing body and / or formed in one piece with the sealing body and the tear-open aid, for example by a plastic injection molding process.
- the receiving opening is formed by a receiving opening jacket which extends, for example, essentially along a receiving opening direction.
- the removal mandrel is inserted into the receiving opening, in particular the removal mandrel is arranged essentially along the receiving opening direction.
- the receiving opening jacket can have a screw thread. If, for example, the removal mandrel has a union nut with a corresponding screw thread, the screw thread of the receiving opening jacket engages in the screw thread of the union nut in the assembled state of the removal cap with the removal mandrel and thus forms a screw connection between the removal cap and the removal mandrel, which enables the assembly of the removal mandrel with the Removal cap at least partially reinforced
- the tear-open aid is made from at least one first material, the first material being selected from a group of materials.
- the material group includes thermosetting and thermoplastic plastics and in particular polyphenylene sulfide, polypropylene, poly-l-butene, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polymethyl metaacrylate, polyacrylonitrile, polystyrene, polysulfone, polyacetal, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetate, ionomers, fluoroplastics, polyethylene, polyamide, in particular a partially aromatic polyamide, polycarbonate, polyester, polyphenylene oxide, Polysulfone, polyvinyl acetal, polyurethane, and chlorinated polyether, cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, cellulose ether, phenolic resin, urea resin, thiourea resin, melamine resin, alkyl resin, allyl resin, silicone, polyimide, polybenzimidazole, epoxy resin, casein plastic, crosslinked polyurethane , unsaturated polyester resin, combinations thereof, and the like.
- the sealing body can, but does not have to be, made from the first material, so that the sealing body and the tear-open aid are made of the same material.
- the sealing body can consist of a second material, which can be selected, for example, from the above-mentioned group of materials.
- the tear-open aid and / or the sealing body are firmly connected to the opposite side of the removal cap, e.g. the tear-open aid or the sealing body are connected to this side in such a way that the tear-open aid is not essentially parallel to the opposite side extending direction can move.
- the tear-open aid and / or the sealing body are non-rotatably connected with respect to a direction which is essentially perpendicular to the opposite side. This fixed connection ensures, among other things, the correct arrangement between the tear-open aid and the receiving opening and thus the optimal tear-open aid movement.
- the sealing body and / or the tear-open aid are firmly connected to the opposite side by, for example, a force fit, form fit and / or material connection.
- the sealing body and / or the tear-open aid are connected to the opposite side by a latching connection and / or a tongue and groove connection and / or a snap-in connection and / or an adhesive connection.
- the invention also relates to a sealing element for a withdrawal cap, in particular for the withdrawal cap according to the invention with the features according to patent claim 9.
- the sealing body and thus the tear-open aid can be arranged in the assembled state with the container in the immediate vicinity of the cover and in particular in contact with it.
- the tear-open aid thus tears open the cover at the beginning of the tear-open aid movement and the opening of the cover resulting therefrom is thus simplified and improved.
- the tear-open aid is arranged pivotably on the sealing body
- the tear-open aid pivots after the opening of the cover in relation to the opening arranged on the cover and thus does not block this opening. This improves the flow of the nutritional solution between the container and the drip chamber through the extraction mandrel.
- the tear-open aid of an embodiment of the sealing element according to the invention is shaped with sharp edges on the outer contour.
- Such an outer contour makes it possible to achieve an opening arranged on the cover with clean cut edges and thus at least partially convey the shape of this opening by means of the tear-open aid.
- the tear-open aid with a sharp-edged outer contour increases the reliability of the opening in the cover, since the sharp-edged outer contour reduces the incidence of the incomplete cut lines generated by the tear-open aid
- the sealing element has at least one point in the direction of the center point and / or the center of gravity of the sealing body. This tip simplifies the breakthrough of the cover and reduces the force which has to act through the tear-open aid to pierce the opening arranged on the cover. The tearing open of the cover of the container is thus made easier
