Definitions
- the present invention relates to a mullion and transom construction according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a post-and-bar construction in which a central screw channel is formed on each of the support profiles.
- a drainage groove is provided on both sides of the screw channel, and a groove for pulling in a sealing strip is also formed on opposite sides in order to accommodate filling elements.
- the screw groove protruding from the support profile enables simple assembly of a pressure strip by means of screws, but the thermal insulation in the area of the groove walls of the screw groove is low.
- the face width of the support profile is comparatively wide due to the large number of grooves on the outside.
- the DE 37 35 016 C1 discloses a frame construction in which the post profile has a screw groove which extends between two insulating glass panes, which is disadvantageous for the thermal insulation.
- the DE 41 05 208 A1 discloses a building facade construction in which a plurality of connector elements are fixed to a groove on a support profile, which are used to assemble a pressure strip which is stretched towards glazing elements.
- the support profile is T-shaped in cross section and has grooves for sealing profiles on both sides of the central groove for the connector elements.
- the EP 1 329 566 A1 discloses a mullion and transom construction in which the profiles have a central screw channel on an outside. Anchoring grooves for seals are provided on both sides of the screw channel. However, no additional hollow chamber is assigned to the screw channel within the profile. In a cavity of the profiles only grooves for inserting projections of a sealing collar are provided. A similar support profile with a central screw groove is also in the EP 2 787 138 A1 shown.
- the DE 38 12 223 A1 discloses a facade with a support structure consisting of mullion and transom profiles, in which the fire protection panes are clampingly fixed by means of a pressure strip which is fixed by means of screws. A head of the screw is held in a groove of a profile.
- a facade with a day profile is shown, which is provided with a screw groove for fixing a pressure strip, the groove walls not extending into between the insulating glass pane.
- the support profile has a central groove with groove walls. These groove walls are accommodated between the sealing strips, a contact plane of the filling elements on the sealing strips being arranged closer to the pressure strip than the groove walls of the central groove. This ensures that the groove walls, which are mostly made of metal and are a good heat conductor, do not protrude into the space between the filling elements and thus ensure poor thermal insulation. Rather, the short design of the groove walls, which are accommodated between the sealing strips, is advantageous for thermal insulation, since the space between the filling elements can easily be thermally insulated by appropriate insulating elements.
- the middle groove has a groove bottom on which a hollow chamber is formed on the side facing away from the groove.
- This hollow chamber can be used for the assembly of further components, in particular a slot nut can be inserted into the hollow chamber. At least one inwardly directed web can be provided on the hollow chamber to guide the slot nut. Additionally or alternatively, a wall of the hollow chamber can run parallel to and at a distance from the groove base, through which a screw for fixing a component extends, so that the middle groove can assume a fastening function on the support profile in a variety of ways.
- the hollow chamber arranged adjacent to the groove base preferably has essentially the same width as the groove. This enables a particularly compact design with high thermal insulation.
- the support profile also preferably has a small width, the width being perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the grooves on an outside of the support profile is smaller than 50 mm, preferably smaller than 45 mm, in particular smaller than 38 mm, for example about 35 mm.
- the support profile can also be used for filigree mullion and transom constructions.
- a high level of thermal insulation is obtained regardless of the width of the support profiles, as the groove for receiving the fasteners does not protrude into the contact plane of the filling elements. It is therefore also possible to use the construction shown for particularly wide support profiles, for example wider 50mm.
- the middle groove or a hollow chamber adjacent to the groove bottom of the middle groove is at least in some areas a drainage channel for draining off penetrating water. This means that additional drainage grooves that increase the width of the support profile can be dispensed with.
- the middle groove or a hollow chamber is used adjacent to the groove bottom of the middle groove for drainage.
- At least one glass carrier is suspended from the central groove.
- the middle groove can thereby assume a multiple function, on the one hand for fastening the fastening means and on the other hand for fastening the glass support, facade swords and other components, assembly elements.
- a recess is preferably provided on the groove for a sealing strip, on which an end section of a further support profile is mounted, and a drainage channel of the further support profile opens into the middle groove or into a hollow chamber adjacent to the groove bottom the middle groove.
- At least one recess is provided on a groove bottom in the middle groove of the vertical support profile, into which a hook of a glass carrier is suspended.
- the glass carrier has a vertically aligned hanging part provided with one or more hooks, on which a horizontally aligned support part is fixed, on which the filling elements can at least partially rest.
- a rib is formed on the support profile on a groove bottom of the middle groove.
- the support profile 1 shown of a post-and-bar construction which is used in particular as a facade, light roof or sloping roof, can be used as a substantially vertical post or substantially horizontal bar.
- the support profile 1 comprises two grooves 2 on one outside, on each of which a sealing strip 3 is fixed. Furthermore, a middle groove 4 is provided between the two grooves 2, which is used to attach a pressure strip 6 in order to fix a filling element 5 in a clamping manner between the sealing strips 3 and sealing strips 7 on the pressure profile 6.
- the support profile 1 is preferably made of metal, in particular aluminum, but can also be made of wood or plastic and, if necessary, also be formed in several parts, for example with an attachment profile that is attached to a Beam is fixed.
- the support profile 1 can be designed as a hollow profile, in particular with a large number of hollow chambers of different sizes.
- the filling elements 5 can be designed as insulating glass panes, but other plate-shaped elements can also be attached to the support profile 1.
- a cover profile 8 is latched on the outside of the pressure strip 6 and has essentially the same width as the support profile 1 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the grooves 2.
- an insulating element 9 is arranged in the space between the end faces of the adjacent filling elements 5.
- the insulating element 9 comprises a web which extends from the inside of the support profile 1 to the outside, with two vertically protruding arms 90 extending from the web, which partially rest on an outside of the filling elements 5.
- the web is formed in several parts and comprises two plastic webs 91 made of a harder material, between which a softer filling material 92, in particular a foamed material with high thermal insulation, is provided.
- projections 93 are provided on the inside adjacent to the support profile 1, which protrude to the end face of the filling elements 5 in order to increase the thermal insulation.
- the profile of the sealing strip 7 can still be seen in the detailed view, which has a sealing base anchored in the pressure strip 6, which is connected via a film hinge to a sealing body on which an outer sealing lip 72 and an inner sealing lip 71 are formed, with the inner sealing lip 71 a drip edge 73 is provided.
- FIG 1B the mounted position of the support profile 1 is shown.
- a head section 11 of a fastening means 10 is inserted into the middle groove 4, the head section 11 being engaged from behind by inwardly projecting webs 40 and thus the fastening means 10 being secured against being pulled out.
- the fastening means 10 can be displaced with the head section 11 along the middle groove 4 during assembly and is then fixed by the clamping forces when a nut 13 on the outside is screwed onto a threaded section 12 of the fastening means in order to clamp the pressure strip 6 in place.
- a bolt of the fastening means 10 extends through the softer filling material 92 and is received in the plastic webs 91.
- the sealing strip 7 rests on an arm 90 of the insulating element 9 and presses it against the outside of the filling element 5.
- FIG 2 is a mounting position of the post-and-beam construction shown, in which a vertical support profile 1 is connected to another horizontal support profile 1 '.
- Fastening means 10 are fixed to both support profiles 1 and 1 'and are inserted into the middle groove 4 of the support profiles 1 or 1' with an essentially cuboid or strip-shaped head section 11, whereby corresponding recesses can be provided on the middle groove 4 for this purpose, at which the inwardly projecting webs 40 are cut off.
- a glass carrier 20 which has a horizontal support part 21 and a vertical hanging part 22.
- the suspension part 22 and the support part 21 are fixed to one another by screws 23.
- On the support part 21 there are threaded sections 24 on which a nut 13 for fixing a pressure strip 6 can be fixed.
- filling elements 5, in particular insulating glass panes, have already been placed on the sealing strips 3.
- insulating elements 9 are inserted between two adjacent filling elements 5, through which only the fastening means 10 pass, a threaded section of the fastening means 10 protruding outward.
- the upper filling elements 5 can be supported in areas directly or indirectly on the support part 21 of the glass carrier 20.
- the insulating element 9 was also pushed onto the fastening means 10, the bolts of the fastening means 10 reaching through the filling material 92.
- the bolt of the fastening means can be coated with an elastic insulating material to avoid glass-metal contact.
- FIG 5 the post-and-beam construction is shown with a vertical post and two spaced-apart support profiles 1 'and 1 "mounted on the vertical support profile 1.
- the lower support profile 1" has two edge-side grooves 2 and a central groove 4 on an outside.
- the grooves 2 and 4 extend beyond a recess 52 so that an end section 51 with the grooves 2 and 4 protrudes.
- This end section 51 can be fixed on a support surface 53 on a lateral groove 2 of the vertical support profile 1, with holes being provided on the end section 51 into which screws 54 are inserted.
- the fixation of the end section 51 is in Figure 6A shown.
- the screw 54 reaches through the bottom of the groove 2, and the end section 51 lies on the groove walls of the groove 2.
- Drainage from the support profile 1 ′′ takes place in such a way that the middle groove 4 on the support profile 1 ′′ and the rebate space between the end faces of the filling elements 5 is used for drainage and any water from the area of the middle groove 4 on the support profile 1 ′′ to the middle groove 4 can reach the vertical support profile 1.
- the upper horizontal support profile 1 ' is attached to the vertical support profile 1 in a different manner.
- the area of the grooves 2 and 4 is extended at the end section 51, since the support profile 1' is provided with a cuboid recess 52.
- the end section 51 is not placed on the lateral groove 2, but a recess 50 is also provided on the vertical support profile 1, at which an opening 55 to a hollow chamber 43 is made. This makes it possible, in the case of a support profile 1 ', to drain water into the hollow chamber 43 which is arranged adjacent to the groove bottom of the groove 4.
- the support profile 1 is shown in cross section.
- the support profile 1 comprises a groove base 25, under which a hollow chamber 16 is provided.
- the hollow chamber 16 has approximately the same width as the adjacent groove 2.
- the inwardly directed webs 40 which engage behind the head section 11 can be seen.
- an upwardly protruding rib 41 is also formed on a groove bottom 42, on which the head section 11 can be supported and / or guided.
- the head section 11 can be pivoted in a certain range about the rib 41 or fixed in a clamping manner.
- the groove walls 45 of the groove 4 protrude further to the outside than the groove walls of the grooves 2, but in the assembled position they are still received between the sealing strips 3, which are arranged with the contact plane of the filling elements 5 even further to the outside.
- a hollow chamber 43 is formed on the groove bottom 42, in which inwardly directed webs 44 are provided for guiding sliding blocks.
- the holing chamber 43 can be used as a drainage channel, as has been described above.
- the hollow chambers 16 and 43 are delimited by a wall 15 which extends parallel to the groove bases 25 and 42.
- the wall 15 connects two side walls of the support profile 1 in a central area, so that hollow chambers are formed on both sides of the wall 15.
- the wall 15 is arranged in the cavity formed by the support profile.
- the wall 15 can be used for mounting fasteners, as shown in FIG Figure 6B is shown in which the end portion 51 is fixed to the wall 15 by screws 54.
- These counter bearings are shaped according to the groove contour, their length and their material can vary according to the static requirements.
- the support profile 1 ' is shown in detail, which can be used, for example, as a bolt or as a replacement.
- the support profile 1 ' has a similar structure to the support profile 1 in the area of the grooves 2 and 4', but the hollow chamber 16 and wall 15 are missing.
- the hollow chamber 43 ' is made smaller and has a wall 15' or is delimited by it , the wall 15 ′ forming the groove base in the area of the grooves 2.
- the groove 4 ' also has inwardly projecting webs 40 and is undercut.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a mullion and transom construction which has optimized thermal insulation and a compact structure.
This object is achieved with a post-and-bar construction with the features of
According to the invention, the support profile has a central groove with groove walls.
The middle groove has a groove bottom on which a hollow chamber is formed on the side facing away from the groove. This hollow chamber can be used for the assembly of further components, in particular a slot nut can be inserted into the hollow chamber. The hollow chamber arranged adjacent to the groove base preferably has essentially the same width as the groove. This enables a particularly compact design with high thermal insulation.
For a particularly compact structure of the post-and-beam construction, the support profile also preferably has a small width, the width being perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the grooves on an outside of the support profile is smaller than 50 mm, preferably smaller than 45 mm, in particular smaller than 38 mm, for example about 35 mm. This means that the support profile can also be used for filigree mullion and transom constructions. A high level of thermal insulation is obtained regardless of the width of the support profiles, as the groove for receiving the fasteners does not protrude into the contact plane of the filling elements. It is therefore also possible to use the construction shown for particularly wide support profiles, for example wider 50mm.
For the compact structure, the middle groove or a hollow chamber adjacent to the groove bottom of the middle groove is at least in some areas a drainage channel for draining off penetrating water. This means that additional drainage grooves that increase the width of the support profile can be dispensed with. Optionally, the middle groove or a hollow chamber is used adjacent to the groove bottom of the middle groove for drainage.
According to the invention, at least one glass carrier is suspended from the central groove. The middle groove can thereby assume a multiple function, on the one hand for fastening the fastening means and on the other hand for fastening the glass support, facade swords and other components, assembly elements.
For drainage of the mullion and transom construction, a recess is preferably provided on the groove for a sealing strip, on which an end section of a further support profile is mounted, and a drainage channel of the further support profile opens into the middle groove or into a hollow chamber adjacent to the groove bottom the middle groove. In this way, effective drainage can be carried out, in particular if the further support profile, as a bolt, drains water that penetrates into the support profile designed as a post.
For a statically good support of the filling elements, at least one recess is provided on a groove bottom in the middle groove of the vertical support profile, into which a hook of a glass carrier is suspended. The glass carrier has a vertically aligned hanging part provided with one or more hooks, on which a horizontally aligned support part is fixed, on which the filling elements can at least partially rest.
In a further embodiment, a rib is formed on the support profile on a groove bottom of the middle groove.
