Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif (1) de manipulation d'un matériau plat et/ou en feuille enroulé sur des rouleaux (5) et servant de matériau d'emballage pour l'emballage de marchandises au détail, d'unités d'emballage ou d'assortiments d'articles similaires. Des rouleaux (5) au moins presque entièrement dévidés et/ou épuisés sont retirés tour à tour d'au moins une position de montage (EB1 ; EB2) d'une machine d'emballage (3) pour que l'emballage se poursuive, après quoi un nouveau rouleau (5) comprenant un matériau plat et/ou en feuille est à chaque fois inséré dans la position de montage respective. Après chaque insertion, une couche extérieure (15) de chaque nouveau rouleau (5) est retirée dans la zone de son extrémité libre et, pour former une bande de matériau ininterrompue, est reliée à une partie d'une bande de matériau d'un autre rouleau (5) guidée dans la machine d'emballage (3). Pendant l'insertion d'un nouveau rouleau (5) et pendant la liaison, le matériau plat et/ou en feuille de l'autre rouleau (5) n'est pas encore entièrement épuisé, si bien que dans l'optique d'une opération d'emballage continue, le matériau plat et/ou en feuille est déroulé sans interruption d'au moins un rouleau (5) de la position de montage (EB1 ; EB2). En outre, des rouleaux (5) au moins presque entièrement dévidés et/ou épuisés sont de préférence détectés par des capteurs et remplacés par de nouveaux rouleaux (5) comprenant un matériau plat et/ou en feuille au moyen d'un dispositif de manipulation (7).
