Definitions
- the invention relates to a drinking container with a drinking vessel and a drinking cap.
- the drinking vessel is preferably a drinking bottle and the drinking attachment is preferably a teat with a screw ring.
- Drinking attachments have a circumferential annular flange for attachment to the opening edge of the drinking vessel by means of a screw ring and an outwardly projecting mouthpiece with at least one drinking opening in the outside.
- the drinking opening is connected via a passage with the inside of the mouthpiece.
- the drinking cap When the drinking cap is designed as a teat, a sucker is connected to the ring flange via a suction grommet.
- the teat is made in one piece from an elastomeric material.
- the drinking opening is a hole or slot or multiple holes or slots in the top of the teat.
- a slit valve on the circumference of the Saugertülle is present, which opens at a negative pressure in the bottle.
- Radial grooves are also known in the underside of the annular flange, through which air can flow through between the annular flange and the opening edge of the drinking vessel.
- TPE teat thermoplastic TPE
- the US 2,737,180 describes a teat of flexible material, which is protected from collapsing due to the Saugunter horres.
- the teat has in the bottom of a ring flange a spiral-shaped channel, which is bounded by ribs on the underside of the annular flange.
- the teat is preferably formed of an elastic material or synthetic rubber and silicone rubber. Due to the elasticity of the teat, the air flow changes with the cross section of the channel, which can be changed by more or less tightening a screw ring for fixing the annular flange to a drinking bottle.
- the variability of the channel cross-section is promoted by the formation of the channel between easily deformable ribs.
- the FR 2 548 894 A1 describes a one-piece teat made of a soft elastomer.
- the teat has a plurality of channels, which have the shape of a spiral portion and are formed as a groove in the bottom of a ring flange.
- the spiral sections each extend about 240 ° around their common center.
- the channels should allow air to flow easily when there is a negative pressure in the bottle, and prevent the escape of liquid. Even with this teat, the extent of the ventilation depends on the tightening force exerted on the screw ring.
- the well-known nutrient suckers with spiral channels have permanently opened drinking openings, so that protection against leakage of the upturned bottle is not possible.
- the channels are used to ventilate the bottles and to prevent collapse of the soft nipple while drinking. When tightened screw ring they are largely compressed, whereby the ventilation is greatly reduced. To ensure adequate ventilation even with heavy compression, the channels have a large cross-section. At low tightening forces, liquid leakage is easily possible.
- spout also known are drinking tops in the embodiment as drinking spout ( spout ) .
- the annular flange runs around a bottom wall.
- the mouthpiece projects outwardly from the bottom wall and is eccentric with respect to the annular flange.
- a drinking valve is integrated, which opens when creating a negative pressure.
- a vent valve is integrated, which opens when a negative pressure builds up in the drinking vessel.
- the valves make the spouts leak-proof.
- Mouthpiece, bottom wall and annular flange are preferably formed in one piece from hard plastic ( hard spout ) .
- hard spout hard plastic
- soft spouts that are made of silicone or natural rubber in one piece and have a slit valve in the mouthpiece and another slit valve in the bottom wall for ventilation.
- a disadvantage of the known spouts is the high production costs.
- drinking tops in the design as push-pull closure are known.
- This has an externally accessible mouthpiece, which is arranged axially displaceable in a connectable with the drinking container mouthpiece holder.
- the mouthpiece is reciprocable with the teeth or by hand between an open and a closed position.
- these drinking tips are particularly popular in the field of sports, recreational activities and drinking containers for children.
- air flows through the open mouthpiece, for which the user must place the bottle.
- air can flow through a vent valve in a bottom wall of the mouthpiece holder.
- drinking attachments are known with a drinking straw. These have a drinking straw holder with a passage opening into which a drinking straw is sealingly inserted. An upper part of the drinking straw protrudes above the top of the drinking straw holder and a lower part protrudes from the underside of the drinking straw holder into the drinking vessel, in order to withdraw beverage from the drinking vessel during suction at the upper part.
- the drinking straw can be sealed, for example, by folding over and fixing the bent drinking straw by means of a lid clamped onto the drinking straw holder.
- a suction valve can be integrated in the drinking straw.
- the drinking straw may be supported by a conical flange on a cone of the bottom wall of the drinking straw holder. The cone can be provided with ventilation holes. If there is a negative pressure in the drinking vessel, the flange of the drinking straw can lift off the ventilation holes so that air can flow in from the outside. This requires a high negative pressure.
- the EP 2 818 153 A1 describes a drinking container, wherein in the bottom of a ring flange of a drinking attachment or in the top of the opening edge of a drinking vessel, a ventilation channel is present.
- the ventilation channel extends from a radially further inside and the interior of the drinking vessel towards open inner channel opening to a radially further outward and Environment towards open outer channel opening. Between the two channel openings, the ventilation channel runs at least 0.75 times around the center of the vessel opening. It has a cross-sectional area in the range of 0.02 to 0.08 mm 2 and is formed in a rigid material having a modulus of elasticity of at least 0.2 kN / mm 2. According to one embodiment, it is spiral.
- the cross-sectional area of the ventilation channel allows adequate ventilation and prevents unhindered leakage of liquid.
- the training in a stiff material prevents compression of the ventilation duct when tightening the screw ring.
- the spiral shape ensures that even with a common assembly tolerance, a portion of the ventilation channel is covered by a narrow opening edge, so that sufficient ventilation is achieved and leakage of liquid is avoided. This solution is particularly suitable for drinking vessels that have a narrow opening edge.
- Bottles with a thin opening edge are in particular bottles produced by injection blow molding and disposable glass bottles. Bottles with a wide opening edge are in particular made of plastic in the extrusion blown process with lost head bottles and reusable glass bottles. In these bottles, the opening edge has a large tolerance. Correspondingly, the effective part of the spiral ventilation duct covered by the opening edge is of different lengths. The pressure loss and thus the pressure equalization in the ventilation change with the effective length of the ventilation duct. In addition, the liquid is prevented to varying degrees from leaking out of the drinking container.
- a drinking bottle has become known in which a circumferential ventilation groove is provided at the top of the opening edge of the drinking vessel.
- the vent groove is connected at one location to an inlet groove of a radially outwardly extending inlet groove.
- an outlet groove is connected to the ventilation groove.
- the present invention seeks to provide a drinking container, which allows for a drinking vessel with a wide opening edge improved ventilation and avoids leakage of liquid.
- the drinking container according to the invention comprises a drinking vessel, a drinking attachment and a screw ring.
- two part-circular ventilation grooves are provided in the underside of the annular flange, symmetrical with respect to a diameter of the annular flange.
- Inlet grooves are connected to one end of the part-circular vent grooves and outlet grooves to the other end of the part-circular vent grooves.
- the ventilation groove is arranged in the underside of the annular flange and covered by the top of the opening edge.
- the ventilation channel formed by the covered ventilation groove always has a defined length, so that a sufficient ventilation ensured and the unimpeded leakage of liquid is avoided.
- the invention is particularly suitable for drinking vessels that have a wide opening edge, especially when the wide opening edge has large tolerances. By a wide opening edge can be ensured that the part-circular ventilation grooves are completely covered. Measuring tolerances of the opening edge and position tolerances of the annular flange and opening edge do not affect the length of the ventilation grooves, which forms covered ventilation channels.
- the radially outwardly extending inlet channel and the radially inwardly extending outlet channel can be covered due to tolerances to varying degrees. However, due to the small dimensions of the inlet and outlet grooves, this does not affect the overall length of the ventilation channels.
- the leakage of liquid is additionally prevented by a suitable choice of the cross section of the ventilation grooves by an interfacial effect or a capillary effect. In this case, the interfacial tension between the liquid and the surface of the ventilation grooves prevents the liquid from flowing off due to the force of gravity through the ventilation grooves.
- the ventilation grooves according to a preferred embodiment, a width in the range of 0.1 to 1.0 mm, preferably from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm, and a height in the range of 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm, preferably from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm.
- inlet grooves and outlet grooves have the same width and height as the ventilation grooves.
- the ventilation grooves are semicircular.
- the semi-circular vent grooves prevent gravity from entering the inlet groove from the drinking vessel and flowing out of the outlet groove when the drinking vessel is oriented horizontally.
- the free leakage of liquid can be prevented by an interfacial tension effect.
- the two part-circular vent grooves are arranged symmetrically with respect to a diameter of the annular flange.
- the two ventilation grooves ensure that ventilation takes place even if one of the two ventilation grooves is clogged or damaged.
- the annular flange on the underside and / or the opening edge on the upper side is completely or partially flat.
- the ventilation grooves are arranged in the flat bottom. This is preferably the case with drinking vessels, the case in the extrusion blown with lost head getting produced. Also for drinking vessels made of glass for multiple use.
- the annular flange on the underside and the opening edge on the upper side is completely or partially conical.
- the ventilation grooves are arranged in the conical bottom. This is preferred for vessels with a thin opening edge to provide a large coverage area for the vent grooves that covers the vent grooves regardless of tolerances.
- the annular flange at the bottom and / or the opening edge at the top outside adjacent to the conical part has a planar part.
- the Auslassnuten open on the inner circumference of the annular flange and the inlet grooves on the outer circumference of the annular flange.
- a ventilation over the inner circumference and / or the outer circumference of the annular flange and thus be ensured regardless of tolerances.
- the drinking vessel is a drinking bottle or a drinking cup and / or the drinking cap is a teat or a drinking spout or a drinking cap with a push-pull valve or a drinking cap with a drinking straw.
- the preferred application are drinking containers with drinking bottle and teat.
- the invention is also applicable to other drinking containers, especially if they have a large opening edge with large tolerances.
- the invention is also applicable to any drinking vessels with narrow opening edges.
- the drinking cap comprises a drinking valve.
- the drinking valve is for example a slit valve in the end of the mouthpiece (teat) of a teat.
- it may also be any valve (e.g., slit valve or ball check valve) in a drinking spout or a push-pull valve or a bendable drinking straw.
- the screw ring is a separate from the drinking cap component.
- the invention relates to embodiments in which the screw ring is made in one piece with the drinking cap.
- a drinking bottle with a teat of the teat can be made in particular of silicone or thermoplastic elastomer.
- top and bottom and derived terms refer to an orientation of the drinking container, in which the drinking vessel at the bottom and the drinking cap are arranged at the top and the center axis of the vessel opening and the annular flange is vertically aligned.
- a drinking container 1 according to the invention has a drinking vessel 2 and a drinking teat 3. Furthermore, the drinking container 1 has a screw ring 4, which holds the drinking teat 3 at the top of the drinking vessel 2.
- the teat 3 has a suction part 5 which is connected at the bottom with an annular flange 6.
- the suction part 5 comprises a bellows-like suction nozzle 7 and a sucker 8.
- the lower end of the suction grommet 7 is connected to the annular flange 6 and the upper end of the suction grommet 7 is connected to the sucker 8.
- the suction grommet 7 has an upwardly widening lower cone section 9 and is connected in the region of its maximum diameter over a radius with an upwardly tapering upper cone section 10. At the top End of the upper cone section 10 connects via a further radius of the suction 8.
- the nipple 8 has a nipple neck 11 and a nipple head 12.
- the suction head 12 is provided on one side with an obliquely inclined to the central axis of the annular flange 6 chamfer 13. On the opposite side it has at least one drinking opening 14 for liquid food.
- the drinking opening 14 is preferably formed by at least one slot or at least one hole in the wall of the teat 8.
- the annular flange 6 projects radially outward with respect to the suction grommet 7.
- the teat 3 has a circumferential constriction 15.
- an upper bead 16 runs around on the outer side of the lower cone section 9, and delimits laterally an outer annular groove 17 which circulates on the outer circumference of the lower cone section 9.
- the annular flange 6 is substantially planar. According to Fig. 3 he has in the bottom 18 two semicircular ventilation grooves 19 which are arranged symmetrically with respect to a diameter of the annular flange 6. Each vent groove 19 is connected at one end to a radially outwardly extending inlet groove 20 and at the other end to a radially inwardly extending outlet groove 21. In each case, the inlet groove 20 connected to one ventilation groove 19 is arranged next to the outlet groove 21 connected to the other ventilation groove 20. The inlet groove 20 of the one ventilation groove 19 is offset by approximately 180 ° with respect to the inlet groove 20 of the other ventilation groove 19.
- the ventilation grooves 19 and the Inlet grooves 19 and the Auslassnuten 20 have, for example, a cross section of 0.5 mm x 0.5 mm.
- the teat 3 is made in one piece of silicone, thermoplastic elastomer or other soft elastic material.
- the material is injection-moldable.
- the drinking vessel 2 is a drinking bottle, according to Fig. 6 a hollow cylindrical bottle body 21 having a bottle bottom at the lower end. At the upper end of the bottle body is connected via a bottle shoulder 22 with a bottleneck 23.
- the bottleneck 23 carries an external thread 24 for screwing on the screw ring 4.
- the bottleneck 23 has an inwardly angled opening edge 25, which surrounds a circular vessel opening 26.
- Adjoining the vessel opening 26, the opening edge 25 on the upper side 27 has an annular disk-shaped opening edge surface 28, the inner part of which is a sealing surface 29. Between the opening edge surface 28 and the bottle neck 23, the opening edge has a conical opening edge surface 30.
- the bottle 2 is made in one piece from a hard plastic, such as polypropylene, polyethylene or polycarbonate. It is preferably made by extrusion blown head.
- the screw ring 4 has a circular cylindrical jacket 31 with an internal thread 32 on the inside.
- the upper edge of the shell 31 is provided with an inwardly projecting SSringflansch 33.
- the SSringflansch 33 has a central through hole 34. Between pagringflansch 33 and internal thread 32 runs on the inner circumference of the shell 21, a lower bead 35 to.
- the teat 3 is inserted from below with the suction part 5 in the through hole 34 until the inner edge of ringflansches 33 engages in the outer annular groove 17 of the teat 3 and the outer edge of the annular flange 6 in the inner annular groove 36 of the threaded ring 4.
- the preassembled unit of teat 3 and screw ring 4 is screwed onto the external thread 24 of the bottle 2 until the bottom 18 of the annular flange 6 abuts against the sealing surface 29.
- the annular flange 6 is placed on the opening edge surface 28 and then the screw ring 4 slipped over the teat 3 and screwed to the bottle 2.
- Teat 3, screw ring 4 and drinking bottle 2 are coordinated so that when conditioning the annular flange 6 on the sealing surface 29 of the opening edge 25, the ventilation grooves 19 in the in Fig. 3 marked, annular disk-shaped sealing region 37 are covered by the sealing surface 29.
- the ventilation grooves 19 in the in Fig. 3 marked, annular disk-shaped sealing region 37 are covered by the sealing surface 29.
- the inflowing air enters the ventilation grooves 19 through the inlet grooves 20 exposed outside the opening edge 25 and enters the drinking vessel 2 through the outlet grooves 21 exposed within the opening edge 25.
- the inflowing air passes through, for example the gap between internal thread 32 and external thread 24 or between teat 3 and screw ring. 4
- the above ventilation and leakage protection works particularly well with drinking vessels 2 with wide opening edges 25, in which it can be ensured that the ventilation channel 19 circumferentially located centrally above the opening edge 25.
- Fig. 7 to 10 is particularly suitable for bottles with narrow opening edges. Due to tolerances, it is hardly possible with narrow opening edges to position the ventilation channels 19 on the underside of a flat annular flange 6 centrally above the opening edge 25.
