Definitions
- the invention relates to a push-pull closure for a drinking container, in particular for a drinking bottle or a drinking cup.
- a push-pull closure has an externally accessible mouthpiece, which is arranged so as to be axially displaceable on a body element connected to the drinking bottle or drinking cup and, in particular, can be reciprocated with the teeth between an open and a closed position. In most cases, the closure is closed by pushing the mouthpiece (push) closed and opened by pulling out the mouthpiece (pull).
- Such push-pull closures are characterized in that the hands are generally not required for the opening and closing of the closure. Therefore, they are in particular in the field of sports, such as bottles for cycling, widely used. Because of the ease of use push-pull closures are also well suited for many other recreational activities and especially for children.
- a push-pull closure with a attachable to a bottle body member.
- an axially displaceable mouthpiece with a passage opening is arranged, which is closed in a first, based on a standing bottle bottom position of a pin.
- the pin is firmly connected to the body element.
- the pin is the passage opening of the Mouthpiece free, so that a drink can flow out.
- the mouthpiece has a radially projecting flange on which two projections are formed. These cooperate with two resilient webs which are formed on the body member, so that the mouthpiece engages in its closed position and can be pulled out only by squeezing the two elastic webs with the teeth to open the closure.
- a push-pull closure which also has a tubular body element section and an encompassing, axially displaceable mouthpiece.
- a protective cap holds the mouthpiece in the closed position when placed on the closure.
- An opening of the mouthpiece at the upper end is closed by a pin which is firmly connected to the body element.
- the body element may for example be a cap or a lid which closes the drinking container.
- a fastening device it may for example have an internal thread which can be screwed onto an external thread on the drinking container, a flange which is pressed by a coupling ring to an opening edge of the drinking container, or an elastic, annular portion which clamps the opening edge of the drinking container as in a snap closure embraces.
- the body element or the opening edge of the drinking container can be understood with a separate seal.
- the body element has an inner side, which faces the drinking container in the state connected to the drinking container, and an outer side facing away from the drinking container.
- the drinking container is in particular a drinking bottle or a drinking cup, in particular in a design adapted to the needs of children.
- the mouthpiece may be substantially tubular and have at the upper end a circumferential bead, which facilitates the gripping of the mouthpiece with the teeth.
- the mouthpiece is made of a relatively soft material, in particular a relatively soft thermoplastic elastomer.
- Relatively soft means in particular soft compared to the material of the body element and / or the locking element. This can facilitate an effective seal and also give a pleasant drinking feeling.
- the mouthpiece is inserted into the body element in a first step, preferably from the outside thereof.
- the at least one locking portion is passed through the passage opening of the body element.
- the at least one locking portion may form a stop that cooperates with the inside of the body member when the mouthpiece is displaced toward the outside of the body member.
- the locking portion may be resilient and, after passing through the passage opening of the body element, automatically reach its position engaging behind the passage opening. Thereby, an automatic engagement of the mouthpiece in the body element is achieved independently of the locking element, which is the assembly of the closure simplified. In particular, a pushing out of the mouthpiece during insertion of the locking element is prevented.
- the locking element is attached to the inside of the body element.
- the locking element attached to the carcass element ensures that the at least one locking portion can not reach a position in which it does not engage behind the passage opening of the carcass member. It is therefore impossible with attached locking element to pull the mouthpiece completely out of the body element.
- the mouthpiece is anchored in a form-fitting manner. As a result, loss of mouthpiece in use is just as reliably prevented as unwanted spilling of fluid and any danger from possible ingestion of the mouthpiece when drinking.
- the at least one locking portion may be in contact with the locking element and held by the latter in a certain, the passage opening engaging behind position, but it may also be arranged at a distance from the locking element and thereby only one Displacement of the at least one locking portion from the passage opening engages behind the position beyond a certain level prevent.
- a gap can be provided between the mouthpiece with the locking portion and the locking element, through which the liquid can flow when the closure is open.
- the push-pull closure it can be easily taken apart.
- the body element is separated from the drinking container, so that the locking element is easily accessible on the inside of the body element.
- the locking element is released from the body element.
- the mouthpiece can be pulled out of the body element, to which optionally the at least one locking portion can be gripped by the inside of the body element and can be displaced into a position that does not engage behind the passage opening.
- the three components of the closure which can be separated from one another in a few simple steps can now be cleaned very easily, in particular the contact and sliding surfaces and optionally seals, on which the individual components rest against one another in the mounted state, are easily accessible.
- residues of the beverage and other impurities are deposited at these points. Due to their relatively simple form, the individual components are also easy and inexpensive to manufacture.
- the attachment of the locking element on the body element can be done in any way, for example by screwing, snapping or by a clamping, non-positive fixation.
- the attachment is accomplished by at least two mounting portions on the locking element, which extend in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the locking element and which can be anchored by turning the locking element relative to the body element in corresponding receptacles on the body element.
- the locking element can be attached to the carcass element in a particularly simple manner with just one handle, as in the case of a bayonet lock.
- the locking element may have a symmetrical shape to the longitudinal axis with opposing mounting portions.
- the locking element may have a handle portion, which facilitates gripping and rotating the locking element.
- the gripping portion may, for example, be a disk-shaped section arranged in the plane of the longitudinal axis at the lower end of the locking element remote from the fastening sections. Relative directional or location indications such as above, below, etc. now and in the following always refer to a closure arranged on an upright drinking container.
- the at least one locking portion is a detent which is formed on the outside of the mouthpiece and at its lower end.
- the mouthpiece has a passage opening for a drink and the locking element projects at least partially into the passage opening of the mouthpiece when the mouthpiece is inserted into the passage opening of the body element and the locking element is attached to the inside of the body element.
- the mouthpiece is substantially cylindrical and on the body member or on the mouthpiece, a seal is arranged, which causes a seal between the body member and mouthpiece, regardless of the position of the mouthpiece inserted into the body member.
- the seal may be, for example, an O-ring. This seal has nothing to do with the opening and closing of a drinking opening and ensures that regardless of the position of the mouthpiece that between Body element and mouthpiece no liquid escaping when moving the mouthpiece.
- the locking element has a closing portion, which releases the passage opening of the mouthpiece in a first position of the mouthpiece inserted into the passage opening of the body element and closes in a second position of the mouthpiece inserted into the passage opening of the body element.
- a particularly simple structure is achieved.
- the mouthpiece is displaceable over a certain longitudinal section and is in the first position at the upper end of the longitudinal section, in the second position at the lower end of the longitudinal section.
- a seal for example an O-ring, may be arranged on the closing section or on the section of the mouthpiece cooperating with the closing section.
- the closing portion is formed on a pin of the locking element, which projects from below into the passage opening of the mouthpiece, when the mouthpiece is inserted into the passage opening of the body element and the locking element is attached to the inside of the body element.
- circular pin is a simple closing a particular circular passage opening in the mouthpiece easily possible.
- the closing portion may be arranged on a pin, which has a thickening in the region of the closing portion.
- the spigot may flare conically up to the closing portion to achieve automatic centering of the mouthpiece.
- the closing portion may be cylindrical, wherein a seal may be provided on the lateral surface.
- the closing portion is formed at the upper end of the pin and terminates approximately flush with the upper end of the mouthpiece when the mouthpiece is in its second position. Thereby, a reliable closing of the opening is achieved and at the same time prevents contamination of the through hole in the closed state.
- the passage opening of the mouthpiece has a diameter which corresponds to the diameter of the upper end of the spigot at the upper end of the mouthpiece and widens downwards.
- the expansion may be continuous, but is preferably a step-shaped Course.
- the pin may have a uniform diameter, in particular in an upper portion.
- the closure portion is spaced from the upper end of the mouthpiece when the mouthpiece is in its second position.
- This arrangement has the advantage that the closing portion and the portion of the mouthpiece cooperating with the closing portion is less susceptible to deformation, in particular caused by chewing on the mouthpiece. As a result, the sealing effect is less affected by the usual signs of wear.
- the closing portion is arranged at the lower end of the pin.
- the closing portion is arranged below the passage opening of the body element.
- the portion of the mouthpiece cooperating with the closing portion is located within the drinking container. There, the outside of the mouthpiece is exposed to the internal pressure in the drinking container. This can be used for carbonated drinks and increased internal pressure an improved sealing effect can be achieved. This is especially true in a relatively easily deformable mouthpiece.
- two spaced locking portions are provided.
- a particularly secure sealing effect of the closure is achieved. Even if one of the two closing portions or a portion of the mouthpiece cooperating with this closing portion is damaged, the sealing effect is maintained.
- the upper closing portion in the region of the upper end of the mouthpiece. In contrast to a single closing portion at a distance from the upper end of the pin or the mouthpiece in its second position, this prevents leakage of liquid from a region of the through opening in the mouthpiece above the closing portion arranged below.
- the first closing portion is formed at the upper end of the pin and the second closing portion below it on the pin, wherein the diameter of the pin in the region of the second closing portion corresponds approximately to the diameter of the mouthpiece in this area when the mouthpiece in its second position is.
- the pin with the closing sections can be stepped. This is one simple shaping with two superimposed locking mechanisms possible.
- the mouthpiece is arranged inclined in the inserted into the through hole of the body member state with respect to a longitudinal axis of the body member and the drinking container.
- a particularly ergonomic shape is found, which in particular can facilitate a complete emptying of the drinking container.
- the closure can be combined with a standard horizontal-opening drinking container.
- the angle of inclination of the mouthpiece is about 45 degrees.
- a pivotable flap which covers the mouthpiece in a closed state of the flap.
- the flap can protect the mouthpiece from contamination and damage, especially during transport.
- the flap is pivotally mounted on the body element and therefore can not be separated easily from the body element even in the open state. Therefore, it can not be lost like a conventional, attachable cap in use.
- the pivotable flap is arranged so that it prevents a displacement of the mouthpiece from its second position in the closed state. This protects the flap from a unintentional opening of the closure, for example due to shock during transport.
- the flap extends in the closed state immediately above the mouthpiece. This additionally ensures that the flap can not be closed until the closure has been completely closed before. The transport of an open or partially open drinking container can be avoided.
- the pivotable flap approximately in the form of a section of a spherical shell, wherein the pivot axis extends approximately through the center of the spherical shell.
- the flap pivots similar to the visor of a helmet approximately in the area defined by the spherical shell and always remains close to the body element. As a result, it does not interfere with drinking and is less easily damaged.
- the body element above the fastening device approximately hemispherical shell-shaped and has in the region of the passage opening for the mouthpiece on a recess.
- the mouthpiece is both protected from damage and easily accessible.
- the closure in this embodiment Both open and closed flap on a particularly ergonomic and harmonious shape.
- a drinking container is present.
- the drinking container can be matched to the push-pull closure with regard to its dimensions and other properties.

- the body element 10 has at its lower end a fastening device in the form of an internal thread 12, which is connected to an external thread 112 at the opening of a drinking bottle 110.
- An inwardly facing, circumferential flange 14 on the body member 10 is pressed when screwing the body member 10 onto the drinking bottle 110 against the upper edge of the bottle 110 to achieve a seal.
- the body element 10 has substantially the shape of a hemispherical shell, the inside of which faces the drinking bottle 110.
- the body element Around the mouthpiece 40, the body element has an indentation 16, the shape of which also describes the section of a larger-diameter spherical shell.
- the Carcass member 10 In the middle of the indentation 16 has the Carcass member 10 a through hole 18 into which the mouthpiece 40 is inserted.
- the passage opening 18 and the mouthpiece 40 are inclined relative to the indicated longitudinal axis 114 of the bottle 110 and the body member 10 at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.
- a tubular section 20 of the body element 10 adjoins the indentation 16 on the outside. Near the upper end of the tubular portion 20 is located at the inner diameter of a seal 22, which seals the gap between the mouthpiece 40 and through hole 18.
- the mouthpiece is substantially circular cylindrical and has at the top end outside a bead 42, which facilitates the gripping of the mouthpiece 40 with the teeth.

- the locking lugs 44 each have a bevel 46 at the lower end, so that they are pressed upon insertion of the mouthpiece 40 into the passage opening 18 of the body member 10 inwardly and a simple insertion of the mouthpiece 40 is possible.
- the mouthpiece 40 has a through-opening 48 whose diameter is constant over the lower portion of the mouthpiece and narrows to a smaller diameter at the upper end of the mouthpiece to form a conical step 50.
- the best in FIG. 2 recognizable locking member 80 has a pin which engages from below into the mouthpiece 40.
- the spigot has an upper portion 82 of uniform diameter, the upper end of which shoots flush with the upper edge of the mouthpiece 40 when the mouthpiece 40 is in its second position as shown.
- the spigot widens conically at the lower end of the upper portion 82 to a larger diameter which remains approximately constant over a shorter, shorter portion 84 of the spigot and extends downwardly approximately to the lower end of the spout 40 when the mouthpiece 40 is in his second position is.
- the diameter of the upper portion 82 of the pin corresponds to the inner diameter of the through hole 48 of the mouthpiece 40 at its upper end.
- the upper end of the upper portion 82 of the pin forms a first closing portion.
- the diameter of the lower portion 84 of the pin corresponds to the inner diameter of the through hole 48 of the mouthpiece 40 at its lower end.
- the lower portion 84 of the pin forms a second closing portion which in a distance from the upper end of the mouthpiece 40 is arranged.
- the lower portion 84 of the pin may also be slightly tapered or provided with a quarter-spherical surface portion to achieve an optimum sealing effect against the inside of the mouthpiece 40.
- annular gap 52 Between through-hole 48 of the mouthpiece 40 and the upper portion 82 of the pin is an annular gap 52 through which the liquid from the drinking bottle 110 can flow, when the mouthpiece in a second, axially displaced upward position, not shown in the figures is located.
- the annular gap 52 is dimensioned such that the latching noses 44 of the mouthpiece 40 can not reach a position in which they no longer engage behind the passage opening 18 in the body element 10 as long as the locking element 80 is attached to the body element 10 and the mouthpiece is inserted into the passage opening 18 is. Thereby, a complete extraction of the mouthpiece 40 is made impossible from the body member 10 in the assembled state of the closure.
- a disc-shaped flange 88 which forms a stop for the lower end of the mouthpiece 40 and limits the movement of the mouthpiece 40 downwards.
- the flange 88 is followed at the bottom by a disc-shaped grip portion 86, at which the locking element 80 easy to grab and rotate against the body element 10.
- the handle portion 86 extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the pin and thus perpendicular to the flange 88th
- the locking element 80 has two opposing, spaced-apart webs 90 connected to the pin via the flange 88 and handle portion 86, which are bent in correspondence with the cylindrical mouthpiece 40 and in two at their upper ends flat attachment portions 92 open, which are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pin.
- the attachment portions 92 cooperate with two corresponding receptacles 54 on the body element 10, so that the locking element 80 can be attached to the body element 10 with a simple rotational movement.
- the pivotable flap 100 has substantially the shape of a section of a spherical shell.
- the diameter of the spherical shell corresponds approximately to the diameter of the body element 10 describing, concentrically arranged spherical shell.
- the pivot axis of the flap 100 extends approximately through the center of the two spherical shells, so that the flap 100 follows the contour of the body element 10 during pivoting.
- the flap 100 extends over an angle of approximately 90 degrees, wherein it fully covers the recess 16 in the closed state shown. At the edges of the indentation 16, the flap 100 bears against the outside of the body element 10.
- the flap 100 extends just above the upper end of the mouthpiece 40 or at a small distance therefrom when the mouthpiece 40 is in its second, lower and closed positions. As a result, the flap 100 can only be closed when the mouthpiece is in its closed position. In addition, the closed flap 200 prevents slipping of the mouthpiece and thus inadvertent opening of the closure. When the flap 100 is in the fully open position (not shown in the figures), it fits snugly against the outside of the body member 10 and completely clears the indentation 16.
- a second embodiment of a push-pull closure is in the FIGS. 4 and 5 shown.
- the body element 10 has a fastening device a circumferential mounting flange 30 which can be clamped with a coupling ring on the opening edge of a drinking container held.

- the attachment portions 92 are connected via a respective web 90 with a handle portion 88 and a pin 94 arranged along the longitudinal axis of the locking element 80.
- the pin 94 is hollow inside, open at the bottom and closed at the top, where it is flush with the mouth piece with a disc-shaped portion 96 40 completes.
- the pin 94 is corresponding to the passage opening 48 in the mouthpiece 40 conical, so that it comes with its entire lateral surface in contact with the mouthpiece 40 when it is in its lower, closed position.
- FIG. 5 illustrates the assembly of the push-pull closure.
- the mouthpiece 40 is inserted from above into the passage opening 18 of the body member 10, wherein the locking lugs 44 are compressed. This condition of the mouthpiece is in FIG. 5 shown.
- the mouthpiece 40 is then inserted as far as possible into the body element 10, wherein the locking lugs 44 bend back into the undeformed state and engage behind the passage opening 18 of the body element. This condition is in FIG. 5 partially shown with dashed lines.
- the locking element 80 is inserted from below with the pin 94 in the through hole 48 of the mouthpiece, as in the FIG. 5 shown. Thereafter, the locking member 80 is further pushed upwards and anchored with its mounting portions 92 in the corresponding receptacles 54 on the body member while performing a rotational movement. It results in the assembled state of the closure, which in FIG. 4 is shown.
