Definitions
- the invention relates to a connector according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
- Such connectors such as RJ45 connector sockets, are used to transmit high frequency data signals.
- the publication DE69927451T2 discloses a modular electrical connector with reduced crosstalk.
- a printed circuit board which can be equipped with first conductors and second conductors. Between the second conductors, eg insulation displacement terminals, which are provided for the cable connection, and the first conductors, for example plug contacts, the printed circuit board has conductor tracks on the outer layers. On an inner layer, the printed circuit board has capacitors in order to capacitively couple the printed conductors in order to influence the cross-talk behavior of the connector. The targeted capacitive coupling thus takes place in the field of printed conductors.
- the publication WO9952182A1 discloses a modular electrical connector (male) and a corresponding cable connector assembly. Channels for cable reception are provided in the cable connection area. These channels may comprise electrically conductive material, eg a copper foil or an electrically conductive coating, in particular a metallised plastic, in order to correspond in the channels make capacitive couplings. The targeted capacitive coupling to compensate for crosstalk thus takes place in the cable.
- the publication US7850492 discloses a communication connector with improved crosstalk compensation. In addition to the use of a rigid printed circuit board, the use of a flexible printed circuit board is disclosed, wherein both printed circuit boards have structures for compensating the crosstalk.
- the flexible printed circuit board is arranged on the otherwise free-standing contact ends of the spring-elastic contacts. It has tracks on both sides. On one side each conductor track arranged thereon contacts one of the contacts. However, there are fewer traces on this page than contacts, so some contacts are not electrically connected to any trace.
- capacitive couplings to other contacts are produced, wherein the flexible printed circuit board acts as a spacer and a dielectric.
- the contacts are grouped into symmetrically connected contact pairs 1-2, 3-6, 4-5 and 7-8.
- the particularly strong crosstalk between the contact pairs 3-6 and 4-5 is compensated by the contact 3 is capacitively coupled to the contact 5.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a connector which can be produced on the one hand with the least possible effort, but at the same time also ensures good data transmission, in particular according to the Connector Categogy 6 A (CAT6 A ) according to the specification ISO / IEC 11801.
- CA6 A Connector Categogy 6 A
- the connector is a comparatively easy to manufacture connector, in particular an RJ45 socket, which preferably has eight contacts. These contacts are advantageously equipped with four symmetrical signal pairs.
- the following given pairwise summary of the contacts numbered consecutively in the contact sequence is defined as follows: 1. pair: contacts 1-2; 2. pair: contacts 3-6; 3. pair: contacts 4-5; 4. pair: contacts 7-8.
- such a connector has a coupling matrix which is suitable, for example, the contact 3 capacitive with the contacts 1, 5 and 7, so with the other odd contacts to couple so as to significantly reduce this crosstalk.
- the contact 6 can also be capacitively coupled with the further even-numbered contacts, namely with the contacts 2, 4 and 8, in order to compensate for the said crosstalk.
- the contact carrier of a connector according to the invention with comparatively little effort, for example in the so-called “MID” - (Molded Interconnected Device) technology, especially in the so-called “LDS” (laser Direct Structuring) method or, depending on the design, in the so-called “2K” (two-component) - be made method, and thus realize the need for crosstalk compensation capacitive couplings in the contact carrier and thus relatively close to the contact areas of the contacts.
- the capacitive coupling through the contact carrier as measurements to simulations prove, at the same time a very good fine tuning of the capacitive crosstalk attenuation and thus a high data transmission rate.
- the transmission characteristics of the connector comply with the requirements of CAT6 A.
- the at least one compensation coating according to the invention is electrically conductively connected to one of the contacts and capacitively coupled to at least one other contact.
- the electrically conductive connection between the compensation coating and the one contact can be produced, for example, by pressing this contact directly against the compensation coating, for example, by the shape of the insulating body and, in particular, by joining two correspondingly shaped insulating body halves.
- the compensation coating to the at least one other contact, with which it is capacitively coupled have a predetermined distance which is less than 100 microns, preferably less than or equal to 50 microns and in particular less than or equal to 25 microns and of course greater than 0 microns , whereby, inter alia, by this small distance, the capacitive coupling is ensured to a sufficient extent.
- This predetermined distance is realized according to the invention by an electrically insulating layer, which consists, for example, in an insulating lacquer, but advantageously in an electrically insulating foil, the electrically insulating layer between the compensation coating and the at least one other contact, with which it is capacitively coupled , is arranged.
- this insulating layer acts not only as a spacer between the compensation coating and the respective contact but also as a dielectric, which correspondingly enhances the capacitive coupling.
- the contact carrier can be made in one piece.
- the 2K method can be used as the MID method.
- the LDS method can be used for coating, namely by the contact carrier has corresponding recesses through which a laser can make the corresponding activations of LDSgeauchen substrate from which the contact carrier consists before the structured thereby electrically conductive coating is at least partially obscured by the inserted contacts.
- This one-piece design of the contact carrier has the advantage that a particularly precise guidance of the contacts is possible. This ultimately benefits the accuracy of decoupling.
- the contact carrier consists of two mateable contact carrier parts, for example a first and a second contact carrier part, and is thus made in two parts. This is advantageous in order to introduce the capacitive couplings and the contacts in the contact carrier with little effort and to simplify the assembly. Then, the contacts between the two contact carrier parts can be arranged and held in respectively designated channels of the contact carrier parts.
- the contact carrier parts can each have a connection surface and joined together with these connection surfaces and secured to each other, for example, glued or welded.
- a channel is provided in each connection surface of each contact carrier part for each contact.
- Such a channel may, for example, have two edges, each in the form of a collar, between which the associated contact can be inserted in a form-fitting manner.
- each contact carrier part may further be provided a separate electrically conductive compensation coating, which extends over a plurality of channels of the respective contact carrier part.
- Each contact carrier part may have webs with the height d. Some of the channels can be arranged on such webs.
- each contact carrier part can have eight channels corresponding to the preferred number of contacts. Of these, for example, four channels can be located on bars.
- the webs may be distributed over the channels alternately, so that, for example, every second channel, that is, for example, each even-numbered or every odd-numbered channel, is arranged on a web. But it can also contacts each other between the assembled contact carrier parts, ie in the contact carrier, cross, ie that they change their channels within the contact carrier. This is taken into account in this design by a slightly more complex form of the contacts and the webs, the shape is chosen so that the contacts can make the channel change without touching each other.
- the two contact carrier parts can be made substantially complementary to one another with respect to their webs, so that when the two contact carrier parts are assembled, one web of the one contact carrier part always engages in a web-free region of the other contact carrier part.
- the contacts advantageously have a connection region, a holding region, a curvature region, a contact region and preferably an end region. But they can also be designed differently.
- the holding regions of the contacts can be arranged between the two contact carrier parts.
- the contacts are held at their holding areas of the contact carrier.
- One reason for the good adjustability of the compensation is thus to be seen in the fact that the compensation by the compensation coating accordingly takes place at the holding areas and thus significantly closer to the contact areas of the contacts than would be the case if they were at the terminal areas, or even before would take place on connected cables or corresponding tracks.
- the holding regions of the various contacts may vary from channel to channel, for example alternately, in two different planes, namely a first plane and a second one Plane, lie, wherein the two planes have the distance d, ie in the first channel is the first contact and its holding area is in the first plane; in the second channel is the second contact and its holding area is in the second level.
- the terminal areas of the contacts may be outside the contact carrier.
- these connection areas can be shaped so that they are located independently of the course of the holding areas and regardless of the configuration of the contact carrier in the desired plane, which is provided for their connection, for example on a printed circuit board.
- a region of the contiguous electrically conductive compensation coating can be regarded as a connection surface.
- This connection surface is intended to be electrically conductively connected to one of the contacts, preferably at its holding region.
- at least one further region of the compensation coating can be regarded as a coupling surface, and at least one further region can serve as a conductor track.
- the at least one conductor track can then connect the at least one coupling surface with the connection surface directly or indirectly, ie via one or more other coupling surfaces, in an electrically conductive manner.
- Each coupling surface is in each case provided for capacitively coupling with one of the further contacts.
- this opens up the possibility of capacitively coupling the contact, which is electrically conductively connected to the pad, via the conductive compensation coating, namely the respective printed conductor, in an electrically conductive manner, for example with at least one further contact.
- each contact carrier part in at least one web preferably in a plurality of webs, have a first recess, which connects in each case the two channels adjacent to the web.
- At least one contiguous electrically conductive compensation coating can be provided on each contact carrier half, whereby a part of the respective electrically conductive compensation coating in the form of the said conductor track can run through these first recesses.
- the compensation coating may extend over the odd-numbered channels by passing their trace through said first recesses in the lands of the even-numbered channels.
- the odd-numbered channels are provided, for example, for receiving the contacts 1, 3, 5 and 7.
- the contact 3 in the second contact carrier part 22 can be capacitively coupled capacitively to the contacts 1, 5 and 7, whereby such an arrangement corresponds to the coupling matrix which is particularly advantageous for crosstalk compensation, and this arrangement is therefore also of particular advantage
- the contact 6 in the first contact carrier part can be capacitively coupled to the contacts 2, 4 and 8.
- the latter can be realized in that the second contact carrier part is largely complementary to the first contact carrier part and thus coated analogously to the first contact carrier part, whereby a mirror-symmetrical decoupling matrix is formed in the contact carrier by the final joining of the two contact carrier parts with their connecting surfaces by the two associated compensation coatings in the contact carrier can.
- an electrically insulating layer in particular a film formed from an electrically insulating material or a part of such a film can be arranged, which thus between the respective contact and the associated Coupling surface acts as a dielectric and spacers.
- an additional one-piece film can be provided in each case.
- the two contact carrier parts between the channels and their adjacent channels may each have second recesses and the films may be performed for example E-shaped.
- a slight depression can also be provided, the depth of which preferably corresponds to the thickness of the film and whose shape preferably corresponds to the shape of the film, and into which the film can thus be inserted in a form-fitting manner.
- the connector has, as already mentioned, eight contacts.
- the contacts are electrically conductive and consist of a resilient material. As already mentioned, they have at least one connection region, a holding region, a curvature region and a contact region, and preferably an end region. In the bending area they are bent so that between the connection area and the contact area an angle exists that is smaller than 90 ° and greater than 0 ° and in particular between 30 ° and 60 °.
- the contacts can each be held with their holding area in the contact carrier, in particular between the two contact carrier parts.
- the curvature region and the connection region can be located outside the contact carrier.
- the holding regions of the contacts can be arranged in the contact carrier in each case in one of the two said mutually parallel planes in the associated channels, wherein the two planes to each other have the distance d.
- This has the advantage that at least two contacts can cross each other without contact within the contact carrier, so that their positions in the order of the contact regions can be interchanged with respect to their positions in the order of their connection regions. By this crossing can be advantageously already realize a rough crosstalk compensation.
- the terminal regions can again be offset by the distance d relative to the retaining regions. Then, the terminal region of such a contact lies in one of the planes and the holding region of the same contact lies in the respective other plane.
- their connection areas remain alternating, and thus match the usual connection profile of a given circuit board.
- the two mateable contact carrier parts each have an inner side.
- the compensation coating can be applied, for example, in LDS (Laser Direct Structuring) technology, ie an MID (Molded Interconnect Device) technique.
- LDS Laser Direct Structuring
- MID Molded Interconnect Device
- the contacts can be arranged between the contact carrier parts in their designated channels.
- at least one film is provided for each contact carrier part, which can advantageously be positively inserted into some channels and the compensation coating at the required locations, ie at least at the coupling surfaces, covering to avoid unwanted electrical contact with the corresponding contacts.
- the corresponding depression can be provided into which the film can be inserted in a form-fitting manner.
- This film has a thickness which is less than or equal to 100 .mu.m, preferably less than or equal to 50 .mu.m, in particular less than or equal to 25 .mu.m.
- Their use on the coupling surfaces in addition to the electrical insulation also has the advantage as a dielectric and spacers, so that the capacitance of the respective capacitive coupling is adjustable inter alia by its material and its thickness.
- the fully assembled connector which additionally has an advantageously shielding housing can be mounted with the terminal portions of its contacts on a rigid circuit boards.
- other compensation structures on the connection side e.g. in the form of printed conductors, be present on the rigid printed circuit board, are additionally selectively capacitively coupled via the terminal areas in order to initially roughly compensate for the unwanted crosstalk.
- the holding areas of two contacts within the contact carrier can cross each other.
- a coarse targeted capacitive coupling can be made in advance for compensation, but can not be set with sufficient accuracy.
- the above-described capacitive coupling matrix through the compensation coating then additionally serves as a fine-tuning to ensure the accuracy of the capacitive couplings to reduce crosstalk and thus achieve a high data rate. Only then are the aspired high data rates possible.
- All the contacts 1, 1 ', 1 ", 1'” are made in one piece, consist of an electrically conductive, resilient material and each have a connection area 11th , 11 ', 11 ", 11'", then a holding region 12, 12 ', 12 “, 12'”, then a curvature region 13, 13 ', 13 ", 13'", then a contact region 14, 14th ', 14 ", 14'” and then an angled end portion 15, 15 ', 15 ", 15'”.
- the connection region 11, 11 ', 11 ", 11'” delimits itself from the holding region 12, 12 ', 12 ", 12'” in that it is narrower.
- the 1a shows a straight contact 1. Its holding area 12 represents a linear extension of the connection area 11. The holding area 12 and the connection area 11 extend in the X direction in a first plane E1, which is not shown in the drawing for reasons of clarity.
- the Fig. 1b shows a staggered contact 1 '.
- This has in its basic design for straight contact 1 the essential difference that both the terminal portion 11 'and the holding portion 12' are arranged offset in the positive Z direction by the distance d, ie instead of in the first plane E1 in a second Level E2 lie, wherein the first plane E1 and the second plane E2 parallel to the XY plane and each other have the distance d.
- the second level E2 is not shown in the drawing for reasons of clarity.
- the Figure 1C shows a bridging contact 1 ".
- This has in its basic design to the offset contact 1 'the difference that the holding portion 12" and the connection portion 11 "relative to the curvature region and the contact region 14" are additionally arranged offset in the positive Y direction and that the connection region 11 "is offset relative to the holding region 12" again by the distance d in the negative Z direction, so that the connection region 11 "lies again in the first plane E1.
- the Fig.1d This differs from the straight contact 1 in that its holding area 12 "'and its terminal area 11"' are arranged offset in the negative Y direction together, and furthermore that the holding area 12 "'in the first Level E1 is guided, whereas the connection area 11 '"out in the positive Z-direction in the second plane E2 is guided ..

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a connector which can be produced on the one hand with the least possible effort, but at the same time also ensures good data transmission, in particular according to the Connector Categogy 6 A (CAT6 A ) according to the specification ISO / IEC 11801.
This object is achieved with a connector of the type mentioned by the features of the characterizing part of independent claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
Insbesondere entsprechen die Übertragungseigenschaften des Steckverbinders den Anforderungen von CAT6A.The connector is a comparatively easy to manufacture connector, in particular an RJ45 socket, which preferably has eight contacts. These contacts are advantageously equipped with four symmetrical signal pairs. The following given pairwise summary of the contacts numbered consecutively in the contact sequence is defined as follows: 1. pair: contacts 1-2; 2. pair: contacts 3-6; 3. pair: contacts 4-5; 4. pair: contacts 7-8. In order to counteract the naturally resulting particularly harmful crosstalk between the contacts 2-3, 6-7, 3-4 and 5-6, such a connector has a coupling matrix which is suitable, for example, the
On the one hand, the contact carrier of a connector according to the invention with comparatively little effort, for example in the so-called "MID" - (Molded Interconnected Device) technology, especially in the so-called "LDS" (laser Direct Structuring) method or, depending on the design, in the so-called "2K" (two-component) - be made method, and thus realize the need for crosstalk compensation capacitive couplings in the contact carrier and thus relatively close to the contact areas of the contacts. It is particularly advantageous that thereby eliminates the need for using a flexible circuit board with the appropriate connection and mounting effort. On the other hand, the capacitive coupling through the contact carrier, as measurements to simulations prove, at the same time a very good fine tuning of the capacitive crosstalk attenuation and thus a high data transmission rate. In particular, the transmission characteristics of the connector comply with the requirements of CAT6 A.
In this case, the at least one compensation coating according to the invention is electrically conductively connected to one of the contacts and capacitively coupled to at least one other contact. The electrically conductive connection between the compensation coating and the one contact can be produced, for example, by pressing this contact directly against the compensation coating, for example, by the shape of the insulating body and, in particular, by joining two correspondingly shaped insulating body halves.
Furthermore, the compensation coating to the at least one other contact, with which it is capacitively coupled, have a predetermined distance which is less than 100 microns, preferably less than or equal to 50 microns and in particular less than or equal to 25 microns and of course greater than 0 microns , whereby, inter alia, by this small distance, the capacitive coupling is ensured to a sufficient extent. This predetermined distance is realized according to the invention by an electrically insulating layer, which consists, for example, in an insulating lacquer, but advantageously in an electrically insulating foil, the electrically insulating layer between the compensation coating and the at least one other contact, with which it is capacitively coupled , is arranged. Advantageously, this insulating layer, in particular the film, acts not only as a spacer between the compensation coating and the respective contact but also as a dielectric, which correspondingly enhances the capacitive coupling.
In an advantageous embodiment, the contact carrier can be made in one piece. Then, for example, the 2K method can be used as the MID method. But even in this one-piece design, for example, the LDS method can be used for coating, namely by the contact carrier has corresponding recesses through which a laser can make the corresponding activations of LDSgeeigneten substrate from which the contact carrier consists before the structured thereby electrically conductive coating is at least partially obscured by the inserted contacts. This one-piece design of the contact carrier has the advantage that a particularly precise guidance of the contacts is possible. This ultimately benefits the accuracy of decoupling.
In another advantageous embodiment, the contact carrier consists of two mateable contact carrier parts, for example a first and a second contact carrier part, and is thus made in two parts. This is advantageous in order to introduce the capacitive couplings and the contacts in the contact carrier with little effort and to simplify the assembly. Then, the contacts between the two contact carrier parts can be arranged and held in respectively designated channels of the contact carrier parts. The contact carrier parts can each have a connection surface and joined together with these connection surfaces and secured to each other, for example, glued or welded. In this case, a channel is provided in each connection surface of each contact carrier part for each contact. Such a channel may, for example, have two edges, each in the form of a collar, between which the associated contact can be inserted in a form-fitting manner. When assembling the contact carrier parts whose connecting surfaces are arranged together, wherein the associated channels are directly adjacent to each other and arranged the contacts in their respective channels each contact carrier part and in particular by the edges and / or adjacent webs form and locks are fixed therein. An advantage of the two-part embodiment of the contact carrier consists in the comparatively simple production, namely the simplification of the process of laser structuring of the first open connection surfaces of the individual contact carrier parts and the subsequent simplified assembly of the contact carrier with the contacts.
On each contact carrier part may further be provided a separate electrically conductive compensation coating, which extends over a plurality of channels of the respective contact carrier part. Each contact carrier part may have webs with the height d. Some of the channels can be arranged on such webs. In particular, each contact carrier part can have eight channels corresponding to the preferred number of contacts. Of these, for example, four channels can be located on bars. The webs may be distributed over the channels alternately, so that, for example, every second channel, that is, for example, each even-numbered or every odd-numbered channel, is arranged on a web.
The two contact carrier parts can be made substantially complementary to one another with respect to their webs, so that when the two contact carrier parts are assembled, one web of the one contact carrier part always engages in a web-free region of the other contact carrier part.
The contacts advantageously have a connection region, a holding region, a curvature region, a contact region and preferably an end region. But they can also be designed differently.
The holding regions of the contacts can be arranged between the two contact carrier parts. Thus, the contacts are held at their holding areas of the contact carrier. One reason for the good adjustability of the compensation is thus to be seen in the fact that the compensation by the compensation coating accordingly takes place at the holding areas and thus significantly closer to the contact areas of the contacts than would be the case if they were at the terminal areas, or even before would take place on connected cables or corresponding tracks. The holding regions of the various contacts may vary from channel to channel, for example alternately, in two different planes, namely a first plane and a second one Plane, lie, wherein the two planes have the distance d, ie in the first channel is the first contact and its holding area is in the first plane; in the second channel is the second contact and its holding area is in the second level.
The terminal areas of the contacts may be outside the contact carrier. As a result, these connection areas can be shaped so that they are located independently of the course of the holding areas and regardless of the configuration of the contact carrier in the desired plane, which is provided for their connection, for example on a printed circuit board.
In an advantageous embodiment, a region of the contiguous electrically conductive compensation coating can be regarded as a connection surface. This connection surface is intended to be electrically conductively connected to one of the contacts, preferably at its holding region. Furthermore, at least one further region of the compensation coating can be regarded as a coupling surface, and at least one further region can serve as a conductor track. The at least one conductor track can then connect the at least one coupling surface with the connection surface directly or indirectly, ie via one or more other coupling surfaces, in an electrically conductive manner. Each coupling surface is in each case provided for capacitively coupling with one of the further contacts. This is advantageous because this opens up the possibility of capacitively coupling the contact, which is electrically conductively connected to the pad, via the conductive compensation coating, namely the respective printed conductor, in an electrically conductive manner, for example with at least one further contact. By an advantageous selection and dimensioning of this capacitive coupling so the undesirable crosstalk can be counteracted so particularly effective because this capacitive coupling preferably takes place at the holding areas of the contacts.
Furthermore, each contact carrier part in at least one web, preferably in a plurality of webs, have a first recess, which connects in each case the two channels adjacent to the web. At least one contiguous electrically conductive compensation coating can be provided on each contact carrier half, whereby a part of the respective electrically conductive compensation coating in the form of the said conductor track can run through these first recesses. For example, if the lands are distributed among the even-numbered channels, then the compensation coating may extend over the odd-numbered channels by passing their trace through said first recesses in the lands of the even-numbered channels. The odd-numbered channels are provided, for example, for receiving the
Between each coupling surface and the associated contact, an electrically insulating layer, in particular a film formed from an electrically insulating material or a part of such a film can be arranged, which thus between the respective contact and the associated Coupling surface acts as a dielectric and spacers. For each contact carrier part, an additional one-piece film can be provided in each case. In order to enable the positive insertion of such a one-piece film, the two contact carrier parts between the channels and their adjacent channels may each have second recesses and the films may be performed for example E-shaped. Furthermore, a slight depression can also be provided, the depth of which preferably corresponds to the thickness of the film and whose shape preferably corresponds to the shape of the film, and into which the film can thus be inserted in a form-fitting manner.
In an advantageous embodiment, the connector has, as already mentioned, eight contacts. The contacts are electrically conductive and consist of a resilient material. The contacts can each be held with their holding area in the contact carrier, in particular between the two contact carrier parts. The curvature region and the connection region can be located outside the contact carrier.
The holding regions of the contacts can be arranged in the contact carrier in each case in one of the two said mutually parallel planes in the associated channels, wherein the two planes to each other have the distance d. This has the advantage that at least two contacts can cross each other without contact within the contact carrier, so that their positions in the order of the contact regions can be interchanged with respect to their positions in the order of their connection regions. By this crossing can be advantageously already realize a rough crosstalk compensation. In order to simultaneously ensure an alternating arrangement of the terminal regions with respect to the two planes, in the case of the two intersecting contacts, the terminal regions can again be offset by the distance d relative to the retaining regions. Then, the terminal region of such a contact lies in one of the planes and the holding region of the same contact lies in the respective other plane. However, their connection areas remain alternating, and thus match the usual connection profile of a given circuit board.
In an advantageous embodiment, the two mateable contact carrier parts each have an inner side. This has the advantage that the compensation coating can be applied, for example, in LDS (Laser Direct Structuring) technology, ie an MID (Molded Interconnect Device) technique. By inserting the contacts and joining the contact carrier parts then the capacitive coupling described above can be realized. The contacts can be arranged between the contact carrier parts in their designated channels. In order to avoid electrical contacting of the contacts with the coupling surface at their coupling regions, it is furthermore advantageous if at least one film is provided for each contact carrier part, which can advantageously be positively inserted into some channels and the compensation coating at the required locations, ie at least at the coupling surfaces, covering to avoid unwanted electrical contact with the corresponding contacts. For exact positioning of the film, as already mentioned, the corresponding depression can be provided into which the film can be inserted in a form-fitting manner. This film has a thickness which is less than or equal to 100 .mu.m, preferably less than or equal to 50 .mu.m, in particular less than or equal to 25 .mu.m. Their use on the coupling surfaces in addition to the electrical insulation also has the advantage as a dielectric and spacers, so that the capacitance of the respective capacitive coupling is adjustable inter alia by its material and its thickness.
Furthermore, the fully assembled connector, which additionally has an advantageously shielding housing can be mounted with the terminal portions of its contacts on a rigid circuit boards. In addition, other compensation structures on the connection side, e.g. in the form of printed conductors, be present on the rigid printed circuit board, are additionally selectively capacitively coupled via the terminal areas in order to initially roughly compensate for the unwanted crosstalk. For this purpose, as already mentioned, the holding areas of two contacts within the contact carrier can cross each other. Thus, a coarse targeted capacitive coupling can be made in advance for compensation, but can not be set with sufficient accuracy. The above-described capacitive coupling matrix through the compensation coating then additionally serves as a fine-tuning to ensure the accuracy of the capacitive couplings to reduce crosstalk and thus achieve a high data rate. Only then are the aspired high data rates possible.
