- motor vehicle locks are generally known, for.
- a driver is arranged with a latching connection element on the pawl, which cooperates with a arranged on an end face of the catch latching counterpart element for locking the pawl.
- This pawl lock prevents the pawl pivots back into the locked position and locks the catch when the catch does not leave its closed position.
- a motor vehicle lock according to the preamble of claim 1 is made US 2003/038485 A1 known.
- the invention has for its object to provide a compact motor vehicle lock with a simple functional mechanism.
- the motor vehicle lock comprises a pivotable rotary latch with a lateral surface, a pawl which is acted upon by a biasing force and which between a blocking position in which the pawl locks the catch, and an unlocking position in which the catch is unlocked, is pivotable, a release lever for pivoting the pawl against the biasing force and a locking device for locking the pawl in a release position in which they Rotary latch releases, wherein a part of the locking device is formed by the release lever.
- the pawl lock is not effected by a latching connection between the pawl and the catch, but by the release lever in engagement with the pawl.
- the release lever on a transport cam which pivots the pawl about a arranged on the pawl cam in the unlocked position.
- the transport cam is moved against the pawl, for example by a drive motor or manually, to pivot the pawl in the unlocked position.
- the transport cam can be designed particularly simple as a block-shaped projection on the release lever.
- the release lever has a driver cam, via which the release lever pivots the pawl out of the blocking position. This means that the pawl is first moved over the drive cam from the locked position until a transport cam of the release lever is moved against the cam of the driver. Then, the pivotal movement of the driver is transferred from the drive cam on the transport cam, whereby the release lever can be made compact.
- the pawl can be locked until full opening of the rotary latch, whereby uncontrolled pivoting of the pawl in the opening catch can be prevented.
- the release position of the pawl is between the blocking position and the unlocked position.

- the backdrop can be arranged particularly advantageous on the lateral surface of the catch.
- the rotary latch passes only on its lateral surface with the pawl in functionally effective contact.
- the pawl locks the catch exclusively by means of a contact between the pawl and the lateral surface of the catch, and the catch releases the pawl from its release position also by means of a contact between the pawl and the lateral surface of the catch.
- an interaction of the rotary latch and the pawl on an end face of the rotary latch can be omitted, whereby a greater freedom of design of the motor vehicle lock is created.
- the locking device has a latching connection between the cam of the pawl and the transport cam, whereby a secure locking of the pawl and a secure release of the locking device is possible.
- the lateral surface of the rotary latch has a locking portion which cooperates in the locking position of the pawl with a latching portion of the pawl, a pre-locking portion which cooperates in a pre-locking position of the pawl with the latching portion of the pawl, and a support portion which in the unlocked position the pawl cooperates with a support surface of the pawl on. Due to the pre-locking position, the motor vehicle lock can still lock, for example, a motor vehicle door after an initial actuation, so that inadvertent opening of the motor vehicle door can be prevented. Furthermore, the locking portion, the pre-locking portion and the support portion may be arranged sequentially on the lateral surface of the rotary latch.
- a complete opening of the catch is ensured in a particularly simple manner when the pawl is in the release position in an overstroke position.
- the pawl for example, pivoted so far against the biasing force, that the locking portion and / or the Vorrastabrough the catch during a pivoting of the catch does not come with the latching portion of the pawl in touch / arrive.

- Fig. 3A the driver 17 with the driver edge 17b and the cam 17c can be clearly seen.
- the driver edge 17b is arranged relative to the driver cam 18e of the release lever such that the driver edge 17b lies in a rotational path of the driver cam 18e about the pivot axis 18c, ie upon pivoting of the driving cam 18e about the pivot axis 18c, the driving cam 18e abuts on the driving edge 17b and pushes the driver along the rotational path (cf. Fig. 4 ).
- the cam 17c is arranged with the parking bay 17d along a rotational path of the transport cam 18f.
- Fig. 3B shows an enlarged rear view of the marked by a circle region of Fig. 3A , The same goes for the FIGS. 4 to 8 ,
- Fig. 3B It can be seen that the locking cam 18g formed at the lower region of the release lever 18 rests against a projection 16e of the pawl 16. Thus, the locking cam 18g sits in the pivoting path of the pawl 16 and prevents the pawl 16, the locking position A leaves before the locking cam 18g is moved away.
- the rotary latch 12 is seated with the locking portion 14a on the latching portion 16c of the pawl 16 and is held against its biasing force in the closed position L.
- the locking portion 14a and the latching portion 16c move apart and disengage, so that the pawl 16 no longer locks the catch 12 in the closed position L.
- Fig. 4 In particular, the interaction between the driving edge 17b and the driving cam 18e of the trigger lever 18 is shown at the beginning of the opening process.
- the rotary latch 12 are in the closed position L and the pawl in the blocking position A.
- the drive motor 22 starts rotating, and shortens the belt 22a by winding the belt 22a around a tape reel (not shown).
- the release lever 18 is pulled over the arm 18a connected to the band 22a to the drive motor 22 (see FIG. Fig. 3A ), and only the trigger lever 18 is pivoted clockwise, whereby the locking cam 18g is pivoted away from the projection 16e of the pawl 16, as in Fig. 4B is shown.
- a pivoting of the pawl 16 from the blocking position A is possible (see, with the locking cam 18g in Fig. 5B ).
- Fig. 5A the state is shown in which the pawl 16 has left the blocking position A and the lateral surface 14 and the pawl 16 are disengaged.
- the external force can z. B. be the weight of an accumulated on a vehicle tailgate snow layer. This weight counteracts the opening of the tailgate, whereby the rotary latch 12 does not pivot out of the closed position L, since the tailgate does not move in the opening direction.
- the pawl 16 would pivot with locked catch 12 due to their biasing force back into the locking position A, the locking portion 16c would grip the lateral surface 14 under the locking portion 14a, the catch 12 would be blocked by the pawl 16, and the opening process would be undesirable canceled. In order to still allow the opening process in such cases, the pawl 16 is locked by means of pawl lock (see. Fig. 7B ).
- Fig. 5B shows the trigger lever 18 presses with the transport cam 18f against an edge of the parking bay 17d, which is arranged in the cam 17c of the driver 17.
- state of the drive cam 18e does not press on the driver edge 17b (see. Fig. 5A ), because the pivotal movement was transferred from the drive cam 18 e on the transport cam 18 f.
- Fig. 6 the pawl 16 is further pivoted by the release lever 18.
- Fig. 6B the position of the transport cam 18f in which the transportation cam 18f is almost within the parking bay 17d (see FIG. Fig. 5B ).
- the trigger lever 18 counterclockwise, the transport cam 18f slips into the parking bay 17d (see. Fig. 7B ).
- Fig. 7 represents the effective Sperrklinkenarret ist, ie the state in which the pawl 16 is locked by the latching connection between the transport cam 18f of the release lever and the parking bay 17d of the driver 17.
- the effective pawl lock is the pawl 16 in the release position C, in which the pawl 16, the catch 12 releases.
- the release position C the pawl 16 is simultaneously in an overstroke position. This means that the pawl 16 is pivoted so far away from the rotary latch 12, that the rotary latch 12 is not latched with the pawl 16 when pivoting from the closed position.
- the driver 17 of the pawl 16 projects in the release position C with the cam 17c from a window formed in the right side wall 20b, whereby the housing 20 can be realized compact and symmetrical.
- Fig. 7B the locking connection is shown in more detail.
- the transport cam 18f is arranged in the parking bay 17d of the driver 17.
- the latching connection acts counter to the biasing force of the pawl 16 and the pawl 16 can not pivot back into the blocking position.
- the latching connection is thus prevented that the pawl 16 leaves the release position until the catch 12 has reached the open position N, and the opening process of the motor vehicle lock 10 is ensured even when exposed to an external weight on the tailgate.
- Fig. 8 shows the motor vehicle lock 10 with the catch 12 in the open position L and the pawl 16 in the unlocked position D. This state is given at the end of the opening process and after the disengagement of the pawl detent.
- the gate 14d is first moved when opening the rotary latch 12 on the support surface 16d of the pawl 16 and the locked pawl 16 is thereby moved slightly counter to its biasing force. This movement releases the latching connection between the transport cam 18f and the parking bay 17d, as in the upper region of the Fig. 8B is shown.
- the catch 12 continues to rotate until the support portion 14c comes to rest on the support surface 16d, and the pawl 16 is moved to the unlocked position D.

Description

The invention has for its object to provide a compact motor vehicle lock with a simple functional mechanism.
The motor vehicle lock according to the invention comprises a pivotable rotary latch with a lateral surface, a pawl which is acted upon by a biasing force and which between a blocking position in which the pawl locks the catch, and an unlocking position in which the catch is unlocked, is pivotable, a release lever for pivoting the pawl against the biasing force and a locking device for locking the pawl in a release position in which they Rotary latch releases, wherein a part of the locking device is formed by the release lever. In other words, the pawl lock is not effected by a latching connection between the pawl and the catch, but by the release lever in engagement with the pawl. Thus, the acting by means of an elastic driver, acting in the end face of the rotary latch locking the pawl away.
According to the invention, the release lever on a transport cam, which pivots the pawl about a arranged on the pawl cam in the unlocked position. When pivoting the release lever, the transport cam is moved against the pawl, for example by a drive motor or manually, to pivot the pawl in the unlocked position. The transport cam can be designed particularly simple as a block-shaped projection on the release lever.
According to the invention, the release lever has a driver cam, via which the release lever pivots the pawl out of the blocking position. This means that the pawl is first moved over the drive cam from the locked position until a transport cam of the release lever is moved against the cam of the driver. Then, the pivotal movement of the driver is transferred from the drive cam on the transport cam, whereby the release lever can be made compact.
Further, by locking the pawl by the trip lever, the pawl can be locked until full opening of the rotary latch, whereby uncontrolled pivoting of the pawl in the opening catch can be prevented.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims, the description and the drawings.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the release position of the pawl is between the blocking position and the unlocked position. The release, locking and unlocking position each represent a different angular position of the pawl, so that the release position is within the range of movement of the pawl, ie between the locked and unlocked position of the pawl. For a compact design of the motor vehicle lock is possible.
According to a preferred embodiment, the rotary latch comprises a link for releasing the pawl from the release position, whereby an additional Device for releasing the locking device can be saved. To the Loosen the locking device, the backdrop can be arranged particularly advantageous on the lateral surface of the catch.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the rotary latch passes only on its lateral surface with the pawl in functionally effective contact. This means that the pawl locks the catch exclusively by means of a contact between the pawl and the lateral surface of the catch, and the catch releases the pawl from its release position also by means of a contact between the pawl and the lateral surface of the catch. Thus, for example, an interaction of the rotary latch and the pawl on an end face of the rotary latch can be omitted, whereby a greater freedom of design of the motor vehicle lock is created.
In a further preferred embodiment, the locking device has a latching connection between the cam of the pawl and the transport cam, whereby a secure locking of the pawl and a secure release of the locking device is possible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the lateral surface of the rotary latch has a locking portion which cooperates in the locking position of the pawl with a latching portion of the pawl, a pre-locking portion which cooperates in a pre-locking position of the pawl with the latching portion of the pawl, and a support portion which in the unlocked position the pawl cooperates with a support surface of the pawl on.
A complete opening of the catch is ensured in a particularly simple manner when the pawl is in the release position in an overstroke position. In order to achieve the overstroke position, the pawl, for example, pivoted so far against the biasing force, that the locking portion and / or the Vorrastabschnitt the catch during a pivoting of the catch does not come with the latching portion of the pawl in touch / arrive.
In a further preferred embodiment, the release lever on a locking cam which locks the pawl in the locked position and / or in the pre-locked position against pivoting against the biasing force. In other words, the pawl can only be pivoted out of the locked position or pre-locked position when the release lever pivots against its biasing force becomes. By the locking cam of the release lever is therefore prevented that the pawl accidentally leaves the lock or pre-locked position.
A housing of the motor vehicle lock can be made particularly compact, that in the release position, a part of the pawl protrudes through a window formed in the housing.

The
The
For transmitting the pivoting movement to the

Dann schwenkt die Drehfalle 12 aufgrund ihrer Vorspannkraft in die Vorschließstellung M.To unlock the striker, the
The Vorschließstellung M of the
To release the striker, the

A.After a certain swing, z.
