Description

Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a fence post for the realization of a metal fence. It is more particularly to improve and simplify assemblies of the type consisting of welded mesh panels, each of the edges to be assembled to a pole is defined by a vertical edge wire secured to horizontal son.

Technological background

This type of fence used to materialize a separation between two parcels or to delimit an enclosed space is well known.

The lattice panels are generally square or rectangular mesh and comprise warp son parallel to the ground and weft son substantially perpendicular to the warp son.

Object of the invention

The present invention aims to overcome these various drawbacks by proposing a fence post, simple in its design and in its operating mode, economic and ensuring a direct assembly of this post with a welded mesh panel without any attached fastener or tool specifically dedicated to the realization of the fence.

Yet another object of the present invention is such a pole accepting different diameters of panel border weft yarns.

Finally, an object of the present invention is a fence equipped with such posts and welded mesh panels, which is not weakened and whose tamper is improved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

First, we note that the figures are not scaled.

The Figures 1 to 4 show schematically a fence post according to a first embodiment of the present invention.

The fence post 10 consists of a section for example made of steel or any other metallic material, defining on two opposite lateral faces of this post 10, two rabbets 11 or symmetrical housings, identical and of generally rectangular shape, being backed by back. The pole 10 which defines a longitudinal axis, has lateral flanges 12, 13 defining front and rear faces 12, 13 convex of the post.

On one side and / or the other, the hollow post 10 can receive the lateral edge, or slice, of a panel (not shown), which then engages in the rabbet 11, or housing, corresponding.

This panel is conventional and welded mesh type consisting of vertical horizontal and vertical warp wire son, the side edges of the panel having a border weft wire integral with warp son spaced from each other at a regular pace .

Each rabbet 11 is delimited by a bottom 14 and two flanks 15, 16 which are placed opposite.

The return 17 which is hollow, has a transverse cross section of rectangular shape. It is placed at 90 ° to manufacturing errors near the flank 15 of the rebate being thus parallel to the bottom 14 of this rabbet.

This return 17 has an inner face 18 placed facing the bottom 14 and an outer face 19 facing the outside of the post.

In the following description, and for the sake of clarity, a single through opening will be described but, of course, the return 17 of the first sidewall 15 has as many through openings distributed along the pole as son of string integral wire border frame of the fence panel.

Each through opening intended to receive a chain wire of the fence panel, here consists of a notch 20 formed in the free end 21 of the return 17, on which open two identical cutouts 22. Each cutout 22 has an L shape thus defining a large branch 23 and a small branch 24 of this cutout.

Furthermore, the assembly of a fence panel with a fence post 10 of the invention requires, in the first place, the introduction of the edge of this panel into the rabbet 11 of the post 10 so as to place the wire border frame of this panel in the housing defined between the bottom 14 of the rabbet 11 and the return 17. The edge border of the panel is thus placed behind the return 17.

The operator then positions the warp threads that are integral with the border weft thread opposite the notches 20 placed on the free end 21 of this return 17, then realizes a rotation of the panel to gradually bring the plane defined by that in parallel with the plane containing the flank 15 of the rebate 11. This rotation of the closure panel allows the introduction of these warp son in the notches 20.

The establishment of the fence panel in the cutouts 22 requires a movement of this panel by the operator to first engage the warp son in the cutouts 22 and then follow the L-shaped of these cutouts 22. Thus, the operator moves vertically down the fence panel following the guide rail defined by the large branches 23 placed opposite the cutouts 22, then moves in a horizontal plane the panel to engage the son of string integral with the weft yarn border in one of the small branches 23 cutouts 22.

The fence post shown on the Figures 5 and 6 differs from that shown on the Figures 1 to 4 in that it comprises a hollow profile 12 connected to a T-shaped soleplate whose curved wings 25, 26 have been folded at their free end to define in each rabbet 11, a gutter-shaped housing comprising a first side wall which is none other than the bottom 14 of rabbet and a second side wall 27 parallel or substantially parallel to the bottom 14 of rabbet.

This second side wall 27 has a U-shaped cross section which thus determines an inner face 18 placed facing the bottom 14 of rebate and an outer face 19 facing outwardly of the fence post.

Each of these faces 18, 19 has L-shaped cutouts 22 each defining a large branch 23 and a small branch 24.

Claims (10)

1. Fence post comprising a central frame defining a longitudinal axis of said post and at least one side wing lateral to said frame, the assembly comprising said central frame and said side wing defining on at least one of the sides of said post (10), a housing in the shape of a guttering (11) in which a vertical end wire of a fence panel can be housed, said panel comprising on at least one of its side edges, a vertical end wire and horizontal wires,

   - said housing in the shape of a guttering comprising a first side wall (14) and a second side wall (17), said second side wall (17) comprises an inner surface (18) positioned opposite said first side wall (14) and an outer surface (19), each of these surfaces (18, 19) comprises L-shaped cut-outs (22) each defining a large branch (23) and a small branch (24),

   - the L-shaped cut-outs (22) of said surfaces that are positioned opposite each other while opening out onto the same notch (20) of the free end (21) of said second side wall (17) jointly defining a through hole of said second side wall (17) for the passage of a horizontal wire of said fence panel, characterised in that

   - the L-shaped cut-outs (22) of each through hole are arranged in a symmetrical manner according to a symmetry about the longitudinal axis of said post with the two large branches (23) oriented according to, or substantially according to the longitudinal axis of said post such that the portions of said inner (18) and outer (19) surfaces positioned above the small branches (24) of the L-shaped cut-outs define holding elements (25) preventing the disassembly and lifting of said panel, when each edge of said panel is assembled to a post.
2. Post according to claim 1, characterised in that said second side wall (17) has a U-shaped cross-section.
3. Post according to claim 1 or 2 characterised in that, said post comprising on at least one of its sides a rabbet (11) comprising a base (14), said second side wall (17) is positioned at the entry to said rabbet (11).
4. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that said L-shaped cut-outs (22) of at least one through hole have identical dimensions, the large branches (23) being offset in relation to each other such that the small branches (24) are positioned opposite.
5. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that said notches (20) on the free end (21) of said second side wall (17) are flared notches, the smallest portion of these notches being positioned on the side nearest said L-shaped cut-outs (22).
6. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that, said central frame being a straight portion defining at least one flat portion of said first side wall (14), said second side wall (17) is parallel, or substantially parallel to said flat portion of said first side wall (14).
7. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that said post (10) comprises a hollow core extended on at least one of its edges by a hollow portion having a T-shaped cross-section, thus defining two opposite rabbets (11).
8. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the corners of said cut-outs (22) are rounded.
9. Post according to any one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that, the horizontal wires of said fence panel being spaced apart by a distance d, the notches (20) positioned at the free end (21) of said second side wall (17) are spaced apart by a distance d.
10. Fence including posts and panels comprising vertical end wires secured to horizontal wires, characterised in that at least one of said posts (10) is a post according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
