La présente invention procède de l'idée générale inventive qui consiste à utiliser un ressort comme moyen élastique contrôlant le désaccouplement entre un élément denté et une denture de crémaillère d'un maillon de réglage fin d'un fermoir pour bracelet de montre ou pour ceinture. Un tel ressort procure une course plus importante au bouton- poussoir qui lui est associé, de sorte que le déplacement de l'élément denté commandé par le bouton-poussoir de sa première position dans laquelle il est en prise avec la denture de crémaillère à sa seconde position dans laquelle il est libéré de son engagement avec la denture de crémaillère est également plus important. Cette vis 42 masque la vis 38 au regard de l'utilisateur. Cependant, l'ensemble reste démontable dans la mesure où il suffit de déposer la vis 42 pour pouvoir ensuite retirer la vis 38. Ces deux variantes de réalisation sont préférées à la variante dans laquelle ne serait prévue qu'une seule vis suffisamment longue pour que la tête de cette vis affleure la surface du bouton-poussoir 32. En effet, dans ce mode de réalisation, la tête de la vis ferait saillie du bouton-poussoir 32 lorsque celui-ci est pressé à rencontre de la force de rappel élastique des ressorts 30, ce qui n'est pas esthétique. En outre, les exigences sur les tolérances des dentures de crémaillères 14 sont moindres, ce qui permet de réaliser des gains en termes de coûts de production. Comme précédemment, la pointe de la vis 50 fait saillie dans la rainure 16 ménagée dans le fond du couvercle 4, de sorte que le maillon terminal 10 de réglage fin est totalement imperdable une fois la vis 50 vissée.
