  • the incision is made by a lateral "slicing action" as opposed to a vertical "stabbing action".
  • the incision action provided by the present device is better than a stab action because the resistance to the cutting edge of the blade being imposed on the skin and tissue is from small to big and then to small. This causes less pain than a stab action does.
  • the width of the incision opening is parabolic, meaning it opens from a narrow to a wider, and ending with a narrow shape of wound. Wounds caused by this type of incision heals easily.
  • the best shape of incision would be a parabola.
  • the depth of the incision should be controlled to a certain range. This is based on a combination of factors being the incision depth, incision opening length and the incision profile area.
  • Figure 3 shows a second embodiment of the present invention where the device 100 further includes a stopper means 80 to allow the rotation of the plate 10 to come to a stop at a post-operating position.
  • the blade At the post operating position, the blade would be retracted from the elongated slot 71 so that accidental incisions will not be made.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'effectuer une incision sur une zone d'intérêt du corps d'un patient. Le dispositif comporte une partie lame pour réaliser l'incision, la lame étant fixée sur des moyens de rappel permettant d'appliquer une force verticale sur la lame de sorte que la lame est rappelée dans une position rétractée; des moyens de déclenchement pour activer un déplacement de la lame d'une position pré-utilisation, dans laquelle elle est retenue, à une position d'utilisation dans laquelle la lame entre en contact avec ladite zone d'intérêt du corps du patient pour y effectuer une incision, puis à une position post-utilisation; des moyens de guidage pour guider un trajet de la lame passant à la position d'utilisation, la partie lame étant adaptée pour venir en prise avec les moyens de guidage en position d'utilisation, de façon à guider la trajectoire de lame dans la position d'utilisation. Le dispositif comporte, en outre, un boîtier pour recevoir le dispositif. Le boîtier est pourvu d'une fente allongée au niveau d'une première extrémité. En position d'utilisation, la lame traverse la fente; en position pré-utilisation ou utilisation, la lame ne traverse pas la fente. La lame, les moyens de rappel et les moyens de déclenchement sont fabriqués en un seul bloc, formant une plaque.
