Claims (12)
- An applicator for a fluid product such as a cosmetic product, of the type including:- a container (101; 201; 301) having an outlet,- a control ring (133; 233; 333) which is mounted to the container such that it can move between a closed position in which it seals the outlet and an open position in which it opens the outlet,- an application member (155; 255; 355) which is mounted to the control ring so as to communicate with the outlet when the ring is in the open position, abutment means (129, 135; 229, 235; 329, 335) being provided in order to stop the travel of the ring towards the closed position thereof, characterized in that the control ring is rotatably mounted to the container free of any translation.
- The applicator according to claim 1, also comprising a removable cap (158; 258; 358) mounted to the control ring (133; 233; 333), and means for locking the cap on the control ring when said ring is in the closed position, and for unlocking the cap when the ring is in the open position.
- The applicator according to claim 2, wherein said locking / unlocking means comprise:- at least two disks (121, 123; 221, 223; 321, 323) secured to said container (101; 201; 301), spaced apart axially and each provided with a notch (125, 127; 225, 227; 325, 327), the notches of the two disks being diametrically opposite,- at least two housings (135, 137; 235, 237; 335, 337) formed in the control ring (133; 233; 333), these housings each receiving one of said disks and being arranged so that when the control ring is in the open position, the notches are respectively located in the housings, and- at least two grooves (163, 165; 263, 265; 363, 365) formed inside the cap, arranged so as to be positioned respectively in the housings and to cooperate respectively with the disks, these grooves being configured to prevent the removal of the cap when the notches are not respectively located in the housings, and to allow said removal when these notches are respectively located in the housings.
- The applicator according to claim 3, wherein the control ring (133; 233; 333) and the cap (158; 258; 358) are configured so as to authorize only one position relative to said two pieces.
- The applicator according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the sealing and opening of the outlet is obtained by the cooperation of two complementary curved members (119, 141; 119, 241), respectively provided with holes (117, 143; 217, 243) and respectively secured to the control ring (133; 233) and the container (101; 201), the holes of these members being mutually shifted when the control ring is in its closed position, and these holes being at least partially opposite each other when the control ring is in its open position.
- The applicator according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said control ring (133; 233) is rotatably mounted on the container (201; 201) via a support ring (109; 209), which in turn is fixedly mounted on said container, the support ring comprising, depending respectively on whether the applicator is according to claims 3 and 5, said two disks (121, 123; 221, 223) provided with notches (125, 127; 225, 227) and one of said curved members (119; 219).
- The applicator according to claim 6, wherein said control ring (133; 233) and said support ring (109, 209) respectively comprise complementary wells (115, 139; 215, 239) at the bottom of which said curved members (119, 141; 219, 241) are placed, these wells penetrating inside said outlet.
- The applicator according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the sealing and opening of the outlet is obtained by the cooperation of skirts (322, 324, 238, 330, 332) provided with complementary notches (326, 332, 334), respectively secured to the control member (333) and the container (301), the notches of said skirts being mutually shifted when the control ring is in its open position.
- The applicator according to claim 8, wherein said skirts are placed outside the container.
- The applicator according to claim 8, wherein said skirts are placed inside the container.
- The applicator according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the application member (155; 255) is mounted on a holder (153; 253), which in turn is removably mounted to the control ring (133; 233).
- The applicator according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said container (101; 201; 301) is a tube that can have any shape, and in particular elliptical, circular, square or triangular, the shapes of the control ring (133; 233; 333), the cap (158; 258; 358) and, if applicable, the support ring (109; 209; 309) and the holder (153, 253) for the application member (155; 255) being suitable to correspond to that of the tube.
