Description
The invention relates to a device for supplying cash register stations with coins having a coin module associated with the cash register station comprising a store for a number of different coins, a coin entry for entering coins, a coin dispensing for dispensing coins, a control unit for detecting the coin holdings, an operating unit and a display unit and an interface for connection to a goods settlement unit.
Moreover, the invention relates to a method for supplying cash points with coins, wherein a coin module of the cashier station is filled with coins.
In modern POS systems, such as POS cash registers, coin modules are increasingly integrated, which do not allow direct manual access to the coins contained in a memory of the coin module. The coin module is coupled to a checkout unit of the checkout station and allows a payment transaction using coins within the scope of the purchase of goods at the checkout station. For this purpose, the coin module has a coin input, by means of which a customer or a cashier operator can enter coins for paying the goods into the coin module. The entered coins become a real money check method subjected. Upon recognition of permissible coins, the total value entered is determined, compared with the purchase price and, if appropriate, change is output via a coin dispenser of the coin module to the customer or to the cashier operator. The processing of the coins by means of a control unit, which is preferably connected via an interface with the goods settlement unit. Advantageously, the coin module enables a simplified and fast cash register closure, since the coin money remains in the coin module. Thus, at any time the current Münzgeldbestände the cashier station are available. However, since more coins are issued as change from the coin module than are entered in payment transactions, an additional supply of the coin module with coinage is required. The back-up is usually carried out by value-transport companies, which transport coins to be replenished within a lockable supply cassette from a central coin dispensing station to the individual coin modules of the check-out stations. Although the coins are protected from thief access by the completed supply cassette during transport to the individual coin modules, when loading the coin module with the coins from the supply cassette, it is required that they be opened by employees of the value-transporting company and the coins are inserted into the coin input of the coin module must be entered. This is associated with a relatively high amount of time. In addition, it may happen that not all coins find their way into the coin entry, but fall next to the coin module or are also illegally stolen.

A device for supplying cashpoint stations with coins has a
During a checkout process at the checkout station, the token is entered into the
To fill the
The
The supply of the
The
Kassenstationen. The
In a
In a further step 21, the emptying process of the
With the blocking of the mechanical interlock between the
The
According to an alternative embodiment, not shown, the opening of the
