So kann das Zusatz-Schaumstoffmaterial streifenartig in den Dichtstreifen-Schaumstoff eingebettet sein. Dieses Zusatz-Schaumstoffmaterial kann des Weiteren aus demselben Material bestehen wie der sonstige Schaumstoffstreifen. Die Einbettung dieses Zusatzstreifens erfolgt durch Komprimieren des zugeordneten Streifenabschnittes des Dichtstreifen-Schaumstoffmaterials, zufolge dessen in dem zugeordneten Schmalrandbereich eine erhöhte Materialdichte vorliegt. Weiter alternativ kann das Zusatz-Schaumstoffmaterial auch ein geschlossenporiger Schaumstoff sein, gegenüber der allgemein offenporigen Ausgestaltung des Dichtstreifen-Schaumstoffmaterials. Zudem kann die höhere Materialdichte auch dadurch erreicht sein, dass ein Teil der Höhe mittels einer massiv ausgebildeten Leiste, bspw. Kunststoffleiste gebildet ist, bei gleicher Schaumstoffhöhe des expandierten Schaumstoffmaterials. Diese Leiste kann integraler Bestandteil des Dichtstreifens sein, wird entsprechend im Zuge der Herstellung des Dichtstreifens der entsprechenden Schmalrandseite zugeführt, zur Komprimierung des diesbezüglichen Schaumstoffbereiches, was die gewünschte erhöhte Dampfbremswirkung bewirkt.
