Abstract

Awning comprises a winding shaft (1) for the awning material and a profile (3) fixed to the front end of the awning material and pulled out parallel to the winding shaft. The winding shaft is surrounded by a housing (4) with lateral head plates (7). When the profile is returned into its retracted end position a moving part (8) actuated by the profile, directly or via intermediate parts, seals the gap between the profile, especially its front panel (6), and the head plates. <??>Preferred Features: The moving part is a flap, a lever, a plate or a slide which is fixed, especially hinged, on the head plates of the awning housing. The moving part has a seal, especially in the form of a rubber or brush seal, which closes the gap.
