Abstract

Um beim Verpressen von Isolierglas mit einem thermoplastischen Abstandhalter (2) Druckausgleich zu erlauben, damit im Inneren des gepreßten Isolierglases Überdruck vermieden wird, wird an wenigstens einer Stelle des thermoplastischen Abstandhalters (2), der auf eine (1) der Glasscheiben (1, 8) aufgespritzt ist, eine flache Vertiefung (4) vorgesehen. Die flache Vertiefung (4) wird durch bereichsweises Verformen des Abstandhalters (2) in Richtung auf die Glasscheibe (1), auf die der Abstandhalter aufgespritzt worden ist, hin erzeugt. Dabei wird der Abstandhalter 2 im Bereich der Vertiefung 4 soweit verformt, wie der Abstandhalter 2 beim Verpressen des Paketes aus Glasscheiben und Abstandhalter zu einer Isolierglasscheibe verformt wird. Die freie, der zweiten Glasscheibe (8) zugekehrte Fläche (5) im Bereich der Vertiefung (4) hat von der Glasscheibe (1), auf die der Abstandhalter (2) aufgespritzt ist, bevorzugt einen Abstand, der dem Abstand der beiden Glasscheiben (1, 8) im fertiggepreßten Isolierglas entspricht. Von Vorteil ist dabei, daß im Ergebnis - anders als bei Kerben im Abstandhalter - eine Isolierglasscheibe erhalten wird, deren Abstandhalter über seine ganze Länge die gleichen Eigenschaften und Abmessungen hat.
