Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Detektieren von sich einem Überwachungsbereich nähernden Fahrzeugen werden die Ausgangssignale mindestens eines zum Empfang der Fahrzeuggeräusche im Überwachungsgebiet ausgelegten Sensors signaltechnisch aufbereitet und bezüglich fahrzeuggeräuschspezifischer Merkmale analysiert, und bei Auffinden solcher Merkmale wird ein eine Fahrzeugdetektion anzeigendes elektrisches Detektions- oder Wecksignal ausgegeben. Zwecks Schaffung eines vollautonom ablaufenden Detektionsverfahrens mit großer Detektionswahrscheinlichkeit und geringer Falschalarmrate wird die Signalanalyse mit mehreren voneinander unabhängigen Weckstufen nach qualitativ unterschiedlichen Merkmalen durchgeführt und in jede Weckstufe nach Extrahieren eines solchen Merkmals mit ausreichender Konfidenz ein Slave-Wecksignal generiert. Die Slave-Wecksignale der einzelnen Weckstufen werden zu einem das Detektions oder Wecksignal darstellenden Master-Wecksignal verknüpft.

In a method for detecting vehicles approaching a monitoring area, the output signals of at least one sensor designed to receive the vehicle noise in the monitoring area are processed in terms of signal technology and analyzed with regard to features specific to vehicle noise, and when such features are found, an electrical detection or alarm signal indicating vehicle detection is output. In order to create a fully autonomous detection method with a high detection probability and a low false alarm rate, the signal analysis is carried out with several independent wake-up levels according to qualitatively different features and a slave wake-up signal is generated in each wake-up level after extracting such a feature with sufficient confidence. The slave wake-up signals of the individual wake-up stages are linked to form a master wake-up signal representing the detection or wake-up signal.
