des fixations dans lesquelles un amortisseur est associé
à un ressort dans le but d'éviter des déclenchements
intempestifs dus à des chocs ou analogues. Cet
amortisseur permet de faire varier la force de résistance
à l'ouverture de la fixation en fonction de la
vitesse de la sollicitation, la force de déclenchement
étant élevée pour des sollicitations violentes et, par
contre, relativement faible pour des sollicitations
douces. Ceci permet de mieux adapter la réponse de la
fixation avant aux caractéristiques de résistance mécanique
de la jambe d'un skieur, qui est capable de résister
à une sollicitation d'intensité élevée, mais
brève, alors qu'elle risque de se rompre dans le cas
d'une sollicitation d'intensité relativement faible,
mais s'exerçant pendant une période de temps relativement
longue.
L'amortisseur est monté en série avec le ressort dans
les fixations décrites dans les brevets FR 1 454 511 et
DE 26 34 649. Dans la fixation selon le brevet FR 2 642
657, l'amortisseur est monté coaxialement à l'intérieur
du ressort. L'utilisation de tels dispositifs dans une
fixation avant comportant deux mâchoires articulées et
agissant sur un tirant traversant le ressort nécessiterait
