Definitions
- the invention relates to a Door with a door leaf, a threshold and with a door seal to Sealing the door leaf against the door sill with a sealing lip.
- US 2,622,286 is also a sealing lip for sealing a car body against a trunk lid, which is shaped so that it around the corners of the trunk opening without deforming the function bend it around and use it like this.
- the sealing lip becomes perpendicular to its main direction of extension pressed in at the end of the trunk lid with the sealing lip.
- the sealing lip is closed by ribs or teeth.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of such a door Door leaf, a threshold and with a door seal for sealing to further develop the door leaf against the door sill with a sealing lip, that the seal has good sealing properties on the one hand and on the other hand, blocking the door is excluded.
- This object is achieved in that the sealing lip on the threshold touching side and / or the threshold on their touching the sealing lip Side a structure with in the direction of the threshold Has wave peaks and valleys.
- the structure which is preferably provided on the sealing lip, leads to that water gathers in cavities in the structure, a good seal ensures and on the other hand it slides like a lubricant the sealing lip relative to the door sill easier. That with external doors due to the temperature difference inevitably in the area of the sealing lip occurring condensation is thus used as a lubricant to almost to ensure smooth opening and closing of the door.
- the wave structure provides thus for better sliding properties and better sealing of the door.
- a preferred embodiment provides that the sealing lip as Hollow body is formed.
- the formation of the sealing lip as a hollow body leads to an air cushion inside the sealing lip, that of the sealing lip gives particularly good insulation properties. Both the thermal insulation as well as the sound insulation is formed by the formation of the sealing lip Hollow body significantly improved.
- the formation of the sealing lip as Hollow bodies are very advantageous even without the structure according to the invention.
- a tried and tested embodiment provides that the Sealing lip a curved contact element touching the threshold has, which merges into a support element arranged at an acute angle thereto. While the contact element preferably over the invention Structure that provides a seal between the door leaf and the threshold, the support element increases the contact pressure of the sealing lip against the threshold and increases the dimensional stability of the curved contact element. By Regular opening and closing of the door can be a curved, soft one Wear the sealing lip so far that there is a good seal between the door leaves and door threshold is no longer guaranteed. The support element prevents this because it is the sealing lip in the particularly stressed The contact area between the sealing lip and the threshold is reinforced.
- the door seal has an insert that in a groove of Door leaf can be used.
- This insert can also Have undercuts in corresponding undercuts the groove can be held, or the Eisatz Sharing is pre-compressed, so that it is held firmly in the groove by its own expansion force.
- a simple structure of the door seal is achieved in that Boundary element, support element and insert limit a cavity.
- the cavity inevitably results from the assembly the parts of the invention and thus leads to the function of Individual parts to improve heat and sound insulation.
- the formation of the cavity is also without the feature described of great importance
- the sealing lip is made of a softer plastic is made.
- a production from rubber or soft PVC leads to one good sealing of the sealing lip to the door sill and thus too excellent sealing properties.
- a preferred material for the production of the sealing lip is silicone or flame retardant PVC, because these materials are not so in the event of fire melt easily and thus also with higher heat development problem-free opening of the door is guaranteed.
- the insert from a harder Plastic is made.
- a harder plastic in the area of Insert or at least a reinforcement of the insert by a harder plastic allows a firm connection between Door seal and door leaf and avoids that with higher loads the door seal, the seal is pulled out of the door leaf.
- the insert and sealing lip by coextrusion are made.
- Coextrusion allows a coordinated choice of materials for every element of the door seal.
- the insert made of hard PVC and the sealing lip made of silicone.
- the Support element is made of hard PVC, silicone or a third material manufactured.
- z. B. also a connector system so that it no coextrusion required.
- the door seal 1 shown in Figure 1 consists of the insert 2 and the sealing lip 3.
- the insert 2 is substantially H-shaped built up.
- Two webs 4 and 5 pointing upwards cooperate the web connection 6 as an expansion body, which in precompressed form a groove of a door leaf can be used and spreads out there so that a firm connection between the insert and the groove is created.
- the Beads 7 and 8 facilitate the bending of the insert, so that it is easier to insert into a groove.
- the H-shaped insert also has two lower webs 11 and 12. On the web 12, the sealing lip 3 is extruded, which from a softer material than the insert.
- the sealing lip 3 consists of a wider, curved contact element 13 and a narrower support element 14 arranged at an acute angle thereto.
- the contact element 13 has a structure 15 in its lower region which consists of two wave valleys and two wave crests. mountains and valleys extend in the direction of the course of the seal and form the lowest end of the curved contact element 13.
- At the concave Page 16 of the contact element 13 closes a crescent-shaped cavity 17 on that of the support member 14 and the lower side of the web 12th the insert 10 is limited.
- the door seal according to the invention is shown in the installed position.
- the door leaf 18 consists of a profile that a on its underside Has groove 19 into which the door seal 1 can be pressed.
- the upset Middle part 6 presses the webs 4 and 5 so firmly on the side surfaces of the Groove 19 that the seal 1 can not fall out of the groove 19.
- inward opening door leaf 18 is shown, which extends outwards with a water deflector plate 22 provided threshold 23 is arranged.
- the threshold has one horizontal top 24 at which the lower end of the Sealing lip 3 rests with the structure 15.
- the arc of the sealing lip 3 shows in the installed state in the direction in which the door leaf 18 can be opened is, and which is indicated by arrow 25 in Figure 2.
- the sealing lip 3 slides with it Threshold contacting side, d. H. structure 24, in the direction of the arrow 25 over the top 24 of the threshold 23. If the seal and Thresholds are dry, the materials slide smoothly onto each other.
- the space between the lower edge of the door leaf 18 and the upper edge the threshold 23 forms a thermal problem area, since the sealing lip generally has inadequate insulation properties and this creates a cold bridge in this area. Airspace 17 within the sealing lip 3, however, ensures a strong in the present case improved sound and heat insulation in the specified range.
- the sealing lip 3 is made of a relatively soft Made of material. This can be rubber or PVC, for example. in the In the present case, silicone was used.
- the insert 2 is off a material made harder relative to the sealing lip 3. in the In the present case PVC was used and the sealing lip and insert were made by coextrusion.
- the relatively soft sealing lip tends to become worn over a longer period of time close and especially lose their shape.
- the curved contact element 13 of the sealing lip is therefore reinforced by the support member 14.
