- A device for cross-web gluing a print product, said device having discrete application means provided on a roller (1), characterized in that said application means include nozzles (2) that are spaced away from the print product.
- The device as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that at least one of the application means is electrically drivable.
- The device as set forth in any of the claims 1 or 2, characterized in that there is provided on the roller (1) an interchangeable module (11) that comprises at least two holding devices (7), each for at least one application means.
- The device as set forth in any of the claims 1 through 3, characterized in that there is provided in the roller (1) a common glue supply means (3) for supplying glue to the application means and that at least part of the application means is drivable in groups.
- The device as set forth in any of the claims 1 through 4, characterized in that there is provided a glue supply means (3) that comprises at least one closed opening (31, 32) for washing.
- The device as set forth in any of the claims 1 through 5, characterized in that cooling (6) is provided for the glue.
- A method of cross-web gluing print products by which discrete application means are moved in at least one gluing position at a relative speed between said application means and the print product that is substantially maintained at about zero, characterized in that the application means spray glue onto the print product.
- The method as set forth in claim 7, characterized in that at least one of the application means is driven electrically.
- The method as set forth in any of the claims 7 or 8, characterized in that at least one part is driven in groups.
- The method as set forth in any of the claims 7 through 9, characterized in that the glue is cooled.
