Definitions
- the present invention relates to boxes and insulating and drainage systems for natural soil or added soil.
- the technical sector of the invention is the field of public works and building.
- One of the main applications of the invention is the doubling of the vertical vertical walls of a building, either internally for the habitable parts which one wishes to insulate, both thermally and phonically, or externally for the parts buried in the ground and that we want to insulate, both against humidity and thermally.
- the system according to the invention can be used for the production of supports for floor slabs inside a building and whose sound and thermal insulation is to be preserved, as well as protection against rising humidity.
- Another application is the recovery of seepage water in the ground of a ground covered for example with plantations which must be watered.
- the infiltration water we essentially uses techniques, such as filling trenches, carried out around the construction to be protected, for example, with pebbles or other granular and heavy materials which are poured into it in bulk; it is also possible to use a combination of layers of said rollers or other materials, above pipes pierced with orifices and arranged at the bottom of the trench. In most cases, in order to avoid clogging of the drainage pipes and / or the intergrain spaces of the material with which the said trench is filled, by the earth entrained by the flow water from the surrounding land that is desired.
- the problem is therefore to be able to have prefabricated building elements, which can be used, both for insulation, both thermal and sound, as also to realize drainage systems, and this from the same technique basic, and similar products and building elements, using products available, either in nature or on the market at low cost, with an efficiency that is guaranteed for long periods, with a setting place and implementation quick and simple, with the least possible site equipment, and for a total cost of supplies and installation as low as possible.
- a solution to the problem posed is a closed insulating box of rectangular parallelepiped shape, flattened on two main faces opposite, separated by four so-called lateral faces;
- the six walls of its outer envelope are rigid, of small thickness, and made of resistant material, at least one of which is said to be the main one, is perforated by micro-holes, which main faces are connected by at least one stiffener internal and its internal volume, delimited by its envelope, is filled with rigid fragments of a granular material with alveolar structure, of density less than 1, and of a good capacity of thermal insulation.
- said granular material is pozzolan.
- Said box consists of a receptacle formed by one of its main faces integral with the four lateral faces, and of a cover forming the other so-called main face, said cover being fixed on said receptacle after filling of the granular material.
- At least two of the lateral faces facing said boxes include, for one, at least one male protuberance convex towards the outside of the face which supports it, and for the other, at least one female bowl concave with respect to the face which supports it and which can cooperate with the male projection of another box placed against the first.
- the walls of said boxes are either all perforated, or only part of them, as specified in the description and in the examples of the attached figures.
- Such boxes according to the invention have dimensions, for their main faces of the order of 40 cm x 80 cm, or 50 cm x 50 cm either of square shape, and for a height of their side walls of the order of 12 to 20 cm; these walls can be made of HDPE and the filling material being pozzolan, the weight of a box is 30 to 50 kg, which is transportable by one person and therefore easy to set up and stack one on the other, without special handling equipment.
- This weight is in fact the maximum authorized by labor regulations in France; and the possibility of nesting the boxes relative to each other, ensures their stability and their alignment at least vertically, without requiring adjustment by the operator.
- pozzolana is a good insulator, leaves an always free passage between its grains and resists frost well: its qualities are known and used since Roman times as aggregate in insulating cements in certain constructions near the places of production that are Auvergne in France and certain Italian regions.
- Pozzolan is indeed a variety of rock of volcanic origin with alveolar structure, formed of slag which has remained in a loose state, which is found in very large quantities in volcanic massifs: its mechanical characteristics are in particular its low density 0.980, due among other things to its porosity, but also to a good thermal and sound insulation capacity, a capacity to withstand large and sudden temperature changes, a roughness of grain, a richness in various natural components and a fairly good compactness and own rigidity, preventing it from being crushed, mechanical resistance to impact, wear and aggressive agents, all of whose characteristics are well known, and to which reference may be made elsewhere.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of an open box according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 is a sectional view along a plane I / I ′ passing both through the axis of a protuberance and an internal stiffener of the box of FIG. 1.
- Figure 3 is a perspective view of an exemplary embodiment of a system according to the invention for the internal insulation of external walls of a building.
- FIG. 4 is a sectional view of a wall insulated by a box system according to FIG. 3.
- Figure 5 is a perspective view of an exemplary embodiment of the system according to the invention for the insulation of a foundation.
- Figure 6 is an exemplary sectional embodiment of a system according to the invention for the insulation of a floor.
- Figure 7 is a sectional view of an exemplary embodiment of a system according to the invention for the drainage and recovery of water infiltrating into a ground after watering.
- the insulating box according to the invention is of rectangular parallelepiped shape, flattened on two main facing faces, separated by four so-called lateral faces, such that the six walls of its outer envelope are rigid, of thin, of the order of 0.3 to 1.5 mm, made of resistant material of the HDPE plastic type (high density polyethylene), and of which at least one of the so-called main faces, is perforated by micro-holes 12, preferably of the on the order of 0.2 to 1 mm in diameter, and even 0.2 to 0.6 mm; which main faces are connected by at least one internal stiffener 3, preferably of hollow shape.
- HDPE plastic type high density polyethylene
- Said box consists of a receptacle 22 formed by one of its main faces integral with the four lateral faces, and of a cover 2 forming the other so-called main face, said cover 2 being fixed on said receptacle after filling with rigid fragments of a granular material 11 with a honeycomb structure, which granular material is preferably pozzolan: the opening of said boxes along one of its large faces, allows filling easier than by one of the side faces, and the fixing of said cover 2 is produced by pressing the periphery of the latter on a lip also peripheral 7 bordering the opening of the receptacle 22, the assembly being bonded cold or hot, or stapled, riveted or the like.
- Said stiffeners 3 which are shown in Figure 1 3 in number, can be cylinders with a diameter of approximately 70 mm, as shown in Figure 4, but also and preferably truncated cones, of an identical median diameter and as shown in Figures 1 and 2: their largest base opens, open, and is integral with the main face forming the bottom 23 of the box 1; their smaller base cooperates with a nesting cup 4 secured to the other main face constituting the cover 2, ensuring centering when the latter is closed, better support and a better distribution of the loads that said box could support 1 on its two opposite main faces 2, 22.
- one of the main faces of the box in fact the bottom 23 of the receptacle 22, has at least three tabs fixing 8, each forming an appendage towards the outside, of three of the lateral faces and arranged in the plane of said main face 23 which supports them: in FIG. 1, there are for example four legs along a long side of the rectangle of the bottom 23 and which will be positioned upwards, and two along the short sides; the other large side of the bottom 23 does not indeed need such tabs which would even interfere, because it comes to rest on the box already in place.
- At least one internal stiffener 3 of one of said boxes 1 preferably placed towards the floor, is hollow and perforated, and connected to an external air inlet 14 pierced in said wall 15, as shown in Figure 4.
- said boxes 1 may also include electrical resistances with heating probes arranged inside their volume 11, and connected to any electrical source for spread heat in the room thus insulated.
- Said caissons 1 are then placed in an excavation 16 dug around said building, to allow their placement, said excavation 16 can only be a trench of small width in which said caissons are slid.
- said boxes 1 are used to acoustically and acoustically insulate a floor, consisting for example of a concrete slab 18 poured on said boxes, themselves arranged on a basement 19 which may be made of "all-purpose"material; said boxes 1 are in this case perforated on all their faces.
- FIG. 7 represents another particular example of the use of a box according to the invention: a draining system constituted by the assembly of boxes arranged in a horizontal plane against each other along their lateral faces, and such that only their main face facing upwards is perforated, the entire plane formed by the assembled boxes 1 being inclined; these are connected to each other by sleeves arranged in orifices 9 facing each other, and at least one recovery tank 20 is placed below the lowest casing 24 and connected at least to the latter.
- a draining system constituted by the assembly of boxes arranged in a horizontal plane against each other along their lateral faces, and such that only their main face facing upwards is perforated, the entire plane formed by the assembled boxes 1 being inclined; these are connected to each other by sleeves arranged in orifices 9 facing each other, and at least one recovery tank 20 is placed below the lowest casing 24 and connected at least to the latter.
- the recovery tank 20 can then also be connected to a filtration and pumping system making it possible to reuse the water thus recovered by a pipe returning above the surface of the ground to ensure the sprinkling 21 thereof.
- a filtration and pumping system making it possible to reuse the water thus recovered by a pipe returning above the surface of the ground to ensure the sprinkling 21 thereof.
- the recovery system constituted by said boxes 1; so, apart from the evaporation and absorption of water by the plants that we want to water and the loss of water in the surrounding land, most of it is still reused, thus reducing the overall consumption required by said watering.
- the boxes 1 can also be in this application, covered with a geotextile fiber, of the “Bidim” type (registered trademark), for their protection, said geotextile allowing the infiltration of water towards said boxes 1, and preventing clogging. micro holes 12 of the main face facing upwards and having to collect the water.
