Description

La présente invention concerne un profilé en U pour un panneau.
On connaít des panneaux comportant deux faces planes équipées d'un revêtement, par exemple des panneaux en bois aggloméré dont les faces sont recouvertes d'une feuille en matière plastique ou d'une résine synthétique cuite au four. Lorsque ces panneaux sont découpés pour réaliser un meuble, le chant qui s'étend entre les deux faces planes est très souvent apparent. Pour protéger ou simplement cacher le chant, il est connu notamment du document FR-A-2.627.819 un profilé en U ayant un dos et des ailes s'étendant de part et d'autre du dos et formant avec celui-ci un angle légèrement inférieur à 90°. Lorsque le profilé est au repos, la distance entre les bords libres des ailes est légèrement inférieure à l'épaisseur du panneau sur lequel le profilé doit être monté afin qu'après montage, les ailes du panneau aient tendance à prendre appui de façon élastique sur les faces du panneau. La raideur du profilé doit être appropriée pour qu'après montage les ailes exercent sur les faces du panneau une force suffisante pour empêcher la pénétration de saletés sous les ailes du panneau. Lors du montage il en résulte une concentration des contraintes le long des sommets des angles entre le dos et les ailes.
En outre, après montage, la face interne du profilé prend appui sur l'arête du panneau et lorsque le profilé est soumis à un choc, il en résulte une concentration de contraintes le long de l'arête du panneau ce qui risque de provoquer une rupture du profilé le long de l'arête du panneau.
Selon l'invention, le profilé comporte entre les ailes et le dos des parties de liaison courbes déformables élastiquement ayant une épaisseur sensiblement égale aux ailes et au dos. Ainsi, lors de la mise en place du profile sur le chant du panneau les parties de liaison se déforment de façon homogène de sorte que le risque de rupture du profilé lors du montage est minimisé. En outre la partie de liaison forme un bourrelet espacé de l'arête du panneau. Ce bourrelet amorti les chocs et évite une rupture du profilé le long de l'arête du panneau.
D'autres caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention apparaítront à la lecture de la description qui suit d'un mode de réalisation particulier non limitatif de l'invention en relation avec les figures ci-jointes parmi lesquelles :
  • la figure 1 est une vue en perspective partiellement écorchée d'un panneau partiellement équipé d'un profilé selon l'invention ; et,
  • la figure 2 est une vue en coupe agrandie du profilé selon l'invention.
En référence aux figures, le panneau sur lequel doit être monté le profilé selon l'invention comporte deux faces planes 1 et un chant 2 s'étendant entre les faces planes.
De préférence le panneau comporte des bords biseautés 3 sur les deux côtés du chant 2. Les bords biseautés 3 sont de préférence réalisés à 30°.
Par ailleurs, le profilé en U en matière plastique selon l'invention comporte un dos 4, des ailes 5 s'étendant de part et d'autre du dos 4 et réunies à celui-ci par des parties de liaison 6, les ailes 5 formant avec le dos 4 un angle interne A inférieur à 90°. Selon un second aspect de l'invention, les parties de liaison 6, sont courbes, de préférence en arc de cercle comme illustré sur la figure 2, et ont une épaisseur sensiblement égale à celle des ailes 5 et du dos 4.
Dans le mode de réalisation illustré, le profilé comporte en outre une languette 7 s'étendant vers l'intérieur du profilé et équipé de crans d'ancrage 8.
Dans le mode de réalisation préféré, les ailes 5 comportent en outre un bord à angle vif 9 et ont une face interne 10 sensiblement plane et une face externe 11 curviligne convexe, de préférence en arc de cercle.
Ainsi, lors du montage du profilé sur un panneau, les bords à angle vif 9 des ailes 5 prennent appui sur les bords biseautés 3 du panneau et glissent sur celui-ci pour provoquer une déformation régulière des parties de liaison 6 par une augmentation du rayon de courbure de ces parties de liaison. Le profilé est alors déformé de façon élastique tout en assurant une répartition homogène des contraintes dans la masse de la matière plastique formant le profilé. Simultanément, la languette 7 pénètre dans une gorge 12 réalisée préalablement dans le chant du panneau de sorte qu'après montage, le dos 4 du profilé est fermement maintenu contre le chant 2 du panneau tandis que les parties de liaison 6 sont disposées en regard des bords biseautés 3 du panneau en étant écartées des bords biseautés. En cas de choc sur le bord du panneau, les parties de liaison 6 se déforment alors de façon élastique sans être soumises à une réaction de la part du panneau.
On remarquera en outre qu'en raison de leur bord à angle vif 9, les ailes 5 du profilé prennent appui de façon localisée le long de ce bord à angle vif sur les faces 1 du panneau et la surface externe convexe du profilé renforce la résistance à la déformation des ailes 5 de sorte que l'on obtient le long du bord à angle vif 9 une concentration de force évitant un soulèvement des ailes. Cet appui des ailes sur les faces du panneau empêche une pénétration des saletés sous les ailes et réalise même une étanchéité à l'eau. En outre, la surface convexe des ailes réalise un bourrelet formant une butée empêchant les objets de tomber lorsque le panneau selon l'invention est utilisé comme plateau de table ou de bureau. Le long du bord des ailes, la face externe curviligne des ailes forme par ailleurs avec la face interne de celles-ci un angle obtus B permettant un nettoyage facile du panneau sans accumulation de saletés contre le bord des ailes du profilé. Cette disposition est particulièrement utile dans les crèches ou les maternelles.
Bien entendu l'invention n'est pas limitée au mode de réalisation décrit et on peut y apporter des variantes de réalisation sans sortir du cadre de l'invention tel que défini par les revendications.
En particulier bien que le profilé selon l'invention ait été décrit en relation avec un panneau comportant un bord biseauté 3 sur chaque côté du chant 2, on peut également mettre en oeuvre le profilé selon l'invention avec un panneau comportant un bord biseauté sur un côté seulement ou aucun bord biseauté.
Bien que le profilé selon l'invention ait été illustré avec une languette de fixation 7, on peut également prévoir de fixer le profilé en collant le dos 4 sur le chant 2 du panneau.

Claims (6)

  1. Profilé en U pour un panneau, le profilé étant en matière plastique et comportant un dos (4) et des ailes (5) s'étendant de part et d'autre du dos et formant avec celui-ci un angle interne (A) inférieur à 90°, les ailes (5) ayant une épaisseur sensiblement égale au dos, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte des parties de liaison courbes (6) déformables élastiquement réunissant les ailes (5) et le dos (4) et ayant une épaisseur sensiblement égale aux ailes et au dos.
  2. Profilé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les parties de liaison sont en forme d'arc de cercle.
  3. Profilé selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que les ailes (5) comportent un bord à angle vif (9).
  4. Profilé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les ailes (5) ont une face interne (10) sensiblement plane.
  5. Profilé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les ailes (5) ont une face externe (11) curviligne convexe.
  6. Profilé selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que le long du bord des ailes, la face externe (11) curviligne des ailes (5) forme avec la face interne (10) un angle obtus (B).
