Abstract

The electrical device includes catches (2,2') which are clipped on and may be manually dismantled to ensure the matching of the device to the moving element when it is mounted on electrical equipment. One is dismantled while the other assures the mechanical link with the moving element. The slider is controlled by mechanical pulses after the dismantling. The casing (1), closed by a cover (1'), has a fixed hook (4') for fixing to the moving element which it carries. There is a moving hook (4) in a single piece, mounted and guided vertically in a sprung pushbutton (3). Moving contacts (6,6') make electrical contact under the force of springs (5,5'). The cover carries catches (7') which are forced into housings (7) in the casing to ensure the cover is fixed.

Description

The present invention relates to an electrical device with opening and closing contact intended to be associated with an electrical device with a moving element of the contactor type so as to be controlled by this contactor.

Such an electrical device with opening contact and closure is in the form of a flat case, the input and output connections are arranged on the side faces. Switching devices presenting movable contacts carried by a slide ensure the electrical continuity of one or other of the lines of current from an input terminal to the output terminal which corresponds to him.

When such a device is associated with a contactor, the movements of the slide carrying the movable contacts are controlled by said contactor.

The contactors usually have a socket movement accessible from the outside for this type of association.

The problem then arises from the fact that these catches of movement are not always positioned at the same place which requires choosing a device suitable for contactor used.

The invention proposes to provide a device adapted to be implemented with several types of contactors.

To this end, the invention relates to an electrical device with opening and closing contact intended to be associated with an electrical device with a moving element of the contactor type so as to be controlled by this electrical device, said electrical device being of the type comprising a housing closed by a cover, said housing carrying at least one input terminal and an output terminal connected to each other the other by a current line open or closed by a movable contact carried by a slide, said slide carrying at least one pawn intended to ensure a connection mechanical with said movable element to control the movements of said slide to those of said movable element, characterized in that said pins are fixed by snap-on and manually removable so that ensuring the adaptation of said electrical device to said mobile element when mounting said electrical device on said electrical appliance.

The invention will be better understood thanks to the description which follows given by way of nonlimiting example with reference to the appended drawings in which:

• Figure 3 is a side view along line III-III of Figure 1 of an assembly of two devices according to the invention.

As visible in the drawing, the following device the invention comes in the form of a housing 1 substantially parallelepipedal, thin, closed by a cover 1 '.

The cover 1 ′ is fixed by press fit by means of pins 7 'that it carries in housings 7 of the housing.

The device according to the invention can be associated with a contactor by fixing it against a lateral face thereof. It is also possible to form a set of several devices according to the invention.

The combination of two devices according to the invention is shown in Figures 2 and 3 in which we see two identical boxes 10 and 20 arranged side by side.

For these associations, hanging means ensure the joining of the boxes containing a device according to the invention to a contactor or another box of device.

These attachment means consist of a fixed hook 4 ' and movable hooks 4 designed in one piece, mounted and guided vertically in push button 3. This push button 3 is manually operated in a movement perpendicular to the hook. The whole is tight by a spring 8.

Two input terminals A and A 'are arranged on one side side of the housing and two output terminals B and B 'are arranged on the opposite side face.

When combining two devices according to the invention, the resulting device carries four terminals input, A1, A2, A'1 and A'2 on a side face and four output terminals B1, B2, B'1 and B'2 on the face opposite side.

The side faces carrying the input and outlet have a recess so that the means of screwing ensuring the fixing and the electrical connection of electrical conductors at the terminals can be all reached from the upper side of the housing 1.

Two stream lines generally parallel to each other the other and perpendicular to the side faces of the case connect each input terminal to an output terminal.

These current lines A-B and A'-B 'are open or closed by movable contacts 6 and 6 'carried by a slide 9 so as to modify the state of the two current lines to each movement of the slide.

Said movable contacts 6 and 6 'are mounted in slides of the slide 9 and subjected to the action of springs 5 and 5 'providing the contact maintenance pressure electric.

The slide 9 also carries two pins 2 and 2 'intended to provide a mechanical connection with the movable element of the contactor so as to control the movements of the slide 9 to those of the movable element of the contactor.

Said pins 2 and 2 'are snap-fitted on the slide by means not shown in the drawing.

This snap-on mounting is manually removable from so as to allow the device to be adapted to geometric characteristics of the contactor used in leaving that of the two pawns whose position allows its connection to the power take-off of the contactor. It is so possible to use the same following device the invention in association with size contactors or different configurations.

When two devices according to the invention are combined, at least one of the pins 2, 2 'of one of the devices is coupled to the slide of the first device so as to subject the movement of the piloted slider to the movement of the pilot device slide.

The slide 9 being accessible from the outside it is possible to control the device by pulses.

For this purpose, the two pins 2, 2 'are dismantled so as to release the slide from any external action transmitted by these pawns and we press the upper end of the slide 9, for example using a control rod linked to a command button.

Claims (7)

1. An electrical device having a opening and closing contact to be associated with an electrical apparatus having a mobile element of the contactor type so as to be controlled by this electrical apparatus, said electrical device being of the type comprising a housing (1) closed by a cover (1'), said housing carrying at least one input terminal (A) and one output terminal (B) connected to each other by a power line opened and closed by a mobile contact (6) carried by a slider (9), said slider (9) carrying at least one pion (2) to ensure the mechanical linkage to the mobile element so as to control the movements of said slider (9) by the movements of the mobile element, characterised in that said pions (2) are fixed by latching and are manually removable so as to ensure the adaptation of said electrical device to said mobile element during mounting of said electrical device on the electrical apparatus.

The device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the slider (9) carries two manually removable pions (2, 2') so that during mounting of said electrical device on the electrical apparatus and with regard to the geometrical features of said electrical apparatus, one of the two pions is removed, whereas the other one ensures the mechanical linkage to the mobile element of the electrical apparatus.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterised in that mechanical pulses may control the movements of the slider (9) after the removal of the two pions (2, 2').
4. The device as claimed in any of claims 1-3, characterised in that the housing (1) carries catching means for its fixation to a housing carrying the mobile element which movements control the slider (9).
5. The device as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that said catching means comprise a fixed hook (4').
6. The device as claimed in claim 4, characterised in that said catching means comprise at least one mobile hook (4) formed by one single element, mounted and guided vertically in a push-button (3).
7. The device as claimed in any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cover (1') carries pions (7') that are pressed into accommodations (7) in the housing so as to ensure the fixation of the cover onto the housing.
