Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Plakette zur Befestigung eines Emblemschildes an einer Gassack-Abdeckung für Fahrzeuginsassen-Rückhaltesysteme.The invention relates to a badge for attaching an emblem to an airbag cover for vehicle occupant restraint systems.
Emblemschilder von Kraftfahrzeugherstellern werden heutzutage drucktechnisch mit hohem Qualitätsniveau hergestellt. Es gibt jedoch nur wenige Möglichkeiten, die Emblemschilder hochfest mit der Abdeckung eines Gassacks für ein Fahrzeuginsassen-Rückhaltesystem zu verbinden. Üblicherweise werden die gedruckten Emblemschilder daher mit einem Grundträger verklebt. Aus dieser Art der Verbindung resultieren zum einen verfahrenstechnische Probleme beim Kleben und zum anderen entstehen Risiken in bezug auf die Lebensdauer der Klebeverbindung.Emblem signs from motor vehicle manufacturers are nowadays produced with high quality in terms of printing technology. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, diese Nachteile bekannter Emblembefestigungen zu vermeiden und eine Plakette zur Befestigung eines Emblemschildes an einer Gassack-Abdeckung bereitzustellen, die eine hohe Haltbarkeit aufweist und einfach herzustellen ist.The invention has for its object to avoid these disadvantages of known emblem attachments and to provide a badge for attaching an emblem shield to an airbag cover, which has a high durability and is easy to manufacture.
Erfindungsgemäß wird eine Plakette zur Befestigung von Emblemschildern an der Abdeckung eines Gassacks für Fahrzeuginsassen-Rückhaltesysteme bereitgestellt. Die Plakette umfaßt einen Grundträger, der auf seiner Rückseite, d.h. auf seiner im eingebauten Zustand der Abdeckung zugewandten und dem Fahrgastraum abgewandten Seite, ein angeformtes Befestigungselement aufweist, mit dessen Hilfe der Grundträger mit der Abdeckung verbunden wird. Der Grundträger weist ferner auf seiner Vorderseite, d.h. auf der dem Fahrgastraum zugewandten Seite, ein Emblemschild mit dem Logo des Fahrzeugherstellers auf. Die Plakette ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Grundfläche des Emblemschildes größer als die Grundfläche des Grundträgers ist, und daß der über die Grundfläche des Grundträgers überstehende Randbereich des Emblemschildes den Rand des Grundträgers wenigstens teilweise hintergreift.According to the invention, a badge for attaching emblem signs to the cover of an airbag for vehicle occupant restraint systems is provided. In Fig. 1 ist ein erfindungsgemäß ausgebildetes Emblemschild 10 dargestellt. Die Oberseite des Emblemschildes ist mit dem Logo des Fahrzeugherstellers bedruckt. Die Grundfläche des Emblemschildes kann je nach der Form und Größe des Logos beliebig gestaltet sein. Im Randbereich des Emblemschildes 10 sind eine oder mehrere Laschen 12 vorgesehen. Die Anzahl der Laschen wird je nach der Form des Emblemschildes und der gewünschten Festigkeit der Verbindung mit dem Grundträger ausgewählt.1 shows an
Fig. 2 zeigt einen Grundträger 14 mit einem an der Rückseite des Grundträgers angeformten Befestigungselement 16. Der Grundträger kann aus Kunststoff oder Metall, insbesondere Aluminium, gebildet sein. Das Befestigungselement wird auf herkömmliche Weise, z.B. durch Taumelnieten oder Verschweißen, mit einer Gassack-Abdeckung für ein Fahrzeuginsassen-Rückhaltesystem (hier nicht gezeigt) verbunden. An dem Befestigungselement kann auch ein Gewinde vorgesehen sein, mit dessen Hilfe der Grundträger an der Abdeckung über eine Schraubverbindung befestigt werden kann. Ferner kann die Befestigung des Grundträgers an der Abdeckung mittels eines Clips durch Verkrallen erfolgen.FIG. 2 shows a
Fig. 3 zeigt eine erfindungsgemäße Plakette 18 im Querschnitt. Das Emblemschild 10 ist auf der Vorderseite des Grundträgers 14 angeordnet. Die Grundfläche des Emblemschildes 10 ist größer als die Grundfläche des Grundträgers 14, so daß der Randbereich des Emblemschildes über die Grundfläche des Grundträgers übersteht. Die Form der Grundfläche des Grundträgers 14 ist dabei vorzugsweise an die Form des Emblemschildes angepaßt. Durch Umbiegen von wenigstens einem Teil des Randbereichs beziehungsweise von im Randbereich des Emblemschildes 10 gebildeten Laschen 12 wird dieses auf den Grundträger 14 aufgefalzt, wobei der Randbereich des Emblemschildes bzw. die Laschen 12 den Außenrand des Grundträgers 14 hintergreifen. Falls keine Laschen im Randbereich des Emblemschildes 10 vorgesehen sind, kann dieser auch vollständig über den Außenrand des Grundträgers gebogen und auf diesen aufgefalzt werden.3 shows a
Fig. 4 zeigt eine Plakette 18, bei der das Emblemschild 10 wenigstens eine mit einer Bohrung 20 versehene Lasche 12 aufweist. Beim Umbiegen dieser Lasche über den Rand des Grundträgers 14 wird das Befestigungselement 16 durch die Bohrung 20 geführt. Dadurch wird das Emblemschild zusätzlich fixiert und gegen Verrutschen gesichert.FIG. 4 shows a
Gemäß der in Fig. 5 gezeigten Ausführungsform sind an der Rückseite des Grundträgers 14 zusätzlich Haltestifte 22 angeformt, die mit entsprechenden Bohrungen 24 im Randbereich des Emblemschildes beziehungsweise den in diesem Bereich angeordneten Laschen 12 zusammenwirken. Gemäß der in Fig. 6 gezeigten Ausführungsform ist der Grundträger auf seiner Rückseite mit Vertiefungen 26 versehen, welche die den äußeren Rand des Grundträgers 14 umgreifenden Laschen 12 aufnehmen.
