This gap, or space, between the outer diameter of the inner casing 12 and the inside diameter of the tube section 30 of the ring 3 is noted ⁇ .
- This difference in diameter is intended to allow a cable 1 expansion without generating mechanical forces high between cable 1 and ring 3. Such an expansion results from high heating of cable 1 which originates a large electric current carried in the cable 1.
- the maintenance of a small thickness of the outer insulating envelope 14 for each of the tabs 60, 61, 62, along the portion of cable P allows bending without breaking of each metal screen portion forming part of one respective of these tabs, when the tube section 30 of ring 3 is inserted between the insulating jacket interior 12 and the metal screen 13.
- the connecting element 21 of the ring although shown in the form of a tab in Figure 3, can also consist for example of a screw or in a braid of conductive tape.

Description
The present invention relates to a ring and a process for establishing an electrical connection with a screen metal of an energy cable.
Typically, the power cable is a power cable high voltage or a very high voltage power cable. The electrical connection resulting from the implementation of the process according to the invention is provided or for a setting earth of the metallic screen of the power cable, or else a connection between metal screens in the case of a junction established between two respective ends of cables.
With reference to FIG. 1, an
d'une "râpe à fromage".For a grounding of the
raccordement 21. Such a ring according to FIG. 2 is used from the
as follows in the prior art. Incisions
longitudinal are formed in the insulating
In an electrical connection device, which comprises the cable of Figure 1 and the ring of Figure 2 then mounted in place between the inner casing and the cable screen, to the establishment of said connection with the screen of this cable, said ring open lengthwise is as such adaptable the expansion phenomena of the cable in service and particular of the material of the inner envelope. However this ring is usually kept tight in place and then leads to significant efforts between it and the inner casing, especially when the cable is at very high tension.
Furthermore, the placement of the aforementioned ring under the screen is difficult when the outer envelope which surrounds this screen has a high thickness and therefore little flexibility.
The present invention aims to remedy the drawbacks of the aforementioned connecting device, in particular to the problems due to the phenomena of expansion of the inner envelope of the cable.
It therefore relates to a connecting device electric including an energy cable and a ring establishing said connection with a metal screen of said cable, said screen being situated between an envelope inner insulation and an outer insulating envelope of said cable, said ring being metallic, disposed between said inner envelope and said screen, along a portion of said cable, and associated with clamping means and comprising a connecting element fixed on it, characterized in that said ring is formed of a section of tube closed on itself and substantially non-deformable with a diameter inside significantly greater than the outside diameter of said inner envelope, said inner diameter of said tube section being provided sufficient to allow a expansion of said cable without generating mechanical forces high between said cable and said ring.
Advantageously, the ring has protruding pins which are formed on at least part of the surface of said tube section. In addition, the ring can be associated with the minus a hose clamp.
According to the invention also, a method for establishing a electrical connection with a metal screen arranged between a outer shell and an inner shell forming part an energy cable, comprising the step of introducing a ring between the inner casing and the metal screen, along a first portion of said cable, is characterized in that said ring is as defined above and in what said introductory step is preceded by a step of machining said outer casing, along a second portion of said cable which includes said first portion and extends substantially beyond this first portion, so as to reduce the thickness of said outer envelope without making it void, in part outer shell with reduced thickness.
- longitudinal incision of said reduced thickness outer shell part and of said metal screen which is arranged below, to form tongues below which said ring is inserted, and
- tightening on the outer surface of said ring, by means of said collar, said tabs formed by incision.
- la figure 1 montre une vue en coupe transversale d'un tronçon de câble d'énergie selon la technique connue;
- la figure 2, montre une vue en perspective d'une bague selon la technique antérieure pour établir une liaison électrique avec un écran métallique d'un câble d'énergie;
- Figure 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a section of power cable according to the known technique;
- Figure 2 shows a perspective view of a ring according to the prior art for establishing an electrical connection with a metal screen of an energy cable;
- FIG. 3 represents a ring according to the invention for establishing an electrical connection with a metal screen of a very high voltage power cable; and
- Figure 4 shows, an energy cable receiving a ring of the type shown in Figure 3 to explain the method according to the invention, only part of the figure to the left of the ring being shown in cross section.
fromage".With reference to FIG. 3, a
notée p, du câble 1.Referring to Figure 4, it is now presented
the method according to the invention. It is assumed in the
description which follows that the
représentée par la référence 50 dans la figure 4.As shown on the right in figure 4, the cable
is first stripped at its end of the screens
metallic 13 and outer insulating
métallique 13.According to a first variant of the method according to
the invention, this single machining operation is implemented
work prior to the introduction of the
une grande intensité électrique véhiculée dans le câble 1.Advantageously, according to a second variant, after
the machining operation is planned to incise
longitudinally, along the length of
intérieure 12 et l'écran métallique 13.It should be noted that according to this variant, the maintenance
of a small thickness of the outer insulating
The connecting
