- each plinth 1 has on its underside projections 13 intended to engage in corresponding notches 14 formed in the lower part of the base elements 2 so that all the basic elements 2 cooperate over its entire length at the connection of the two sides of the floor.
- the two transverse end elements 3 seamlessly connect the two plinths 1 at each of their ends.
- These transverse end elements 3 have a U-shape, the branches of which allow a rigid connection with the railings and the plinths. As shown in FIG. 2, this connection is ensured by the screws 10 passing through appropriate openings 15 of the branches of the transverse end element and being screwed into the threaded ends 8,9 of the profiles 6,7 of each plinth 1.
- connection between the baseboards and the transverse end elements is not ensured by screws, but by a threaded rod or a cable passing through each profile of the baseboard and whose blocking at each of its ends makes it possible to exert a pre-stress effect on the plinth.
- the floor assembly thus assembled shown in FIG. 5, constitutes a rigid assembly obtained without welding, and which is capable of being connected to railings and stirrups to form a suspended gangway.
- FIG 6 there is shown the assembled floor, which has received a pair of railings 16 shown in dotted lines. As can be seen, the jamb 17 of the railing is fixed by the screw 10 joining the transverse end element 3 and the plinth 1.
- FIG. 7 a variant is shown according to which the U-shaped transverse end elements 3 are extended upwards to improve their connection with the railings 16 and to form stirrups allowing the junction between several gangway modules.
- At least one of the transverse end elements 3 could also be extended upwards to form a suspension bracket (not shown).
- each plinth 1 there is provided (see in particular Figures 4 and 8) at the upper part of each plinth 1 an attachment profile 18 which cooperates with a corresponding profile 19 provided in the bottom rail 20 of the railing 16.
- the end legs of the railings are fixed on the corresponding branches of the end crosspieces, as described with reference to Figure 6.
- the lateral external profiles 6, 7 of the plinth 1 are configured so as to present facing parts 21 forming slides which allow a plate to be fitted by sliding between the two profiles (not shown in the drawing) bearing inscriptions or serving as a support for accessories.
