Description

The present invention relates to a packaging unit with two protective gloves, in particular AIDS protective gloves, arranged on a carrier sheet, and to a method for their production.

Packaging units for protective gloves are already known in which the protective gloves are attached next to one another on a carrier sheet, for example made of paper. Instructions for the user of the protective gloves, for example their use in the treatment of persons suspected of having AIDS, can be printed on the carrier sheet. In order to protect the sensitive protective gloves, which consist of thin plastic films, from damage, it is necessary to attach the protective gloves flat to the carrier sheet. As a result, a large carrier sheet is required for fastening two protective gloves next to one another, the size of which at least corresponds to the outline contours of two protective gloves lying next to one another. This usually requires a carrier sheet the size of A3. As a result, a large amount of paper is required for packaging units of two protective gloves arranged on a carrier sheet.

Dabei ist nachteilig, daß der zweite Handschuh nicht direkt mit dem Verpackungsblatt verbunden ist und deshalb leicht beschädigt werden kann.FR-A-2 338 127 describes a packaging unit of a pair of gloves, one glove of the pair of gloves being sealed on a packaging sheet and the second glove being connected to the first via a perforation along the cuff edge. It is disadvantageous that the second glove is not directly connected to the packaging sheet and can therefore be easily damaged.

The object of the present invention is to provide a packaging unit with two protective gloves, in particular AIDS protective gloves, arranged on a carrier sheet create in which the material requirement for the carrier sheet can be reduced and yet both gloves are connected to the carrier sheet.

This object is achieved by a generic packaging unit according to the preamble of the main claim with the features of its characterizing part. The subclaims represent preferred embodiments of the invention and a method for producing the packaging unit.

The present invention offers two possibilities for reducing the material requirement of the carrier sheet, which can consist, for example, of paper. On the one hand, the two protective gloves can each be arranged and fastened on opposite sides of the carrier sheet. The second possibility is that the two protective gloves are arranged and fastened on the same side of the carrier sheet. In both cases, the outline contours of the protective gloves overlap at least partially, the space requirement for the attachment of the protective gloves being reduced with increasing overlap. It is therefore preferred that the outline contours of the two protective gloves overlap in substantial parts of the entire outline, particularly preferred that they are completely or almost congruent.

If the protective gloves are arranged on opposite sides of the carrier sheet, the protective gloves are preferably of the same size, that is to say that the outline contours of the two protective gloves attached on both sides of the carrier sheet are identical. In the second possibility, the attachment of the two protective gloves on the same side of the carrier sheet, it is preferred that the outline contour of the protective glove further away from the carrier sheet is somewhat larger than that of the protective glove resting on the carrier sheet. In this way, when the protective gloves are created by means of a heat seal seam, the protective glove which is in contact with the wearer can first be made up of two Foil layers are sealed, whereupon the second protective glove is then sealed in the same way over the first protective glove. Because the protective glove further away from the carrier sheet has a somewhat larger outline contour, a heat seal can be carried out on this protective glove without this protective glove sticking to the protective glove underneath.

The protective gloves can be sealed by known methods, for example by gluing or by the heat sealing already mentioned.

Figure 3
a further embodiment, in which the two protective gloves are arranged on opposite sides of the carrier sheet.

The carrier sheet 16 made of paper or a similar material has a customary rectangular outline contour. It consists of a sheet of paper in A4 size. On the carrier sheet 16 a protective glove 12 is fastened, for example by sticking on some adhesive points or by a heat sealing process. The protective glove 12 consists of a transparent polyethylene film as well as the overlying second protective glove 14, that is to say a further distance from the carrier sheet 16. This protective glove 14, which also consists of transparent polyethylene film, has a somewhat larger outline contour than the protective glove underneath, that is to say on the carrier sheet 16 12th

The layer structure can be seen in FIG. 2. The carrier sheet 16 initially wears the two film layers of the one protective glove 12, while the two other film layers of the protective glove 14 with the somewhat larger outline contour can be seen above it.

Fig. 3 zeigt eine Anordnung, bei der die beiden Schutzhandschuhe 12, 14 auf gegenüberliegenden Seiten 20 und 22 des Trägerblatts 16 angebracht sind.3 shows an arrangement in which the two protective gloves 12, 14 are attached on opposite sides 20 and 22 of the carrier sheet 16.

The packaging units can be produced as follows: First, the film layers, i.e. two layers for each protective glove 12, 14 are arranged either on one side of the carrier sheet, as shown in FIG. 2, or on opposite sides of the carrier sheet, as shown in FIG. 3. The edges of the film layers are then connected to one another, for example by heat sealing, except for the edge that lies against the wrist. With heat sealing, a loose, releasable connection between the two protective gloves 12, 14 and the carrier sheet 16 is formed at the same time.
