Definitions
- the invention relates to a temperature-dependent switch for Opening and closing a circuit depending on the temperature of a bimetallic part, with an electrical conductive housing part, which has a bottom, a electrically conductive cover part for closing the housing part, one between the housing part and the cover part arranged insulating washer, which the housing part against the Cover part electrically insulated, and one in the housing part arranged rear derailleur, depending on the temperature the bimetal part an electrical contact between the Manufactures or opens the housing part and the cover part and one depending on the temperature of the bimetal part this includes working, electrically conductive spring washer, which is supported on the housing part and carries a contact part, depending on the temperature of the bimetal part in System comes with the cover part and so the electrical contact manufactures between the housing part and the cover part, wherein the bimetal part preferably a bimetal snap disk is, the circuit on the one hand with the cover part and on the other hand, can be connected to the housing part.
- Such a temperature-dependent switch is from the DE 29 17 482 C2 known.
- the known switches are used to control the temperature of a device to monitor. To do this, for example, use their bottom brought into contact with the winding of a motor, so that the temperature of the winding the temperature of the bimetal part influenced. If the switching temperature is exceeded, opens the rear derailleur the connection between the cover part and the Housing part and the circuit above it is interrupted. If the temperature drops, the circuit becomes again closed, although this is not necessarily the case, bistable temperature-dependent switches are also known.
- the switching mechanism has a spring washer in the known switch on which a contact part is attached by a flange that comes into contact with the upper housing part.
- a spring washer in the known switch on which a contact part is attached by a flange that comes into contact with the upper housing part.
- a bimetallic snap washer that below the switching temperature in the housing without forces is recorded. The current flows through the conductive upper Housing part, the contact part, the spring washer and the lower Housing part on which the spring washer is supported. Will the If the switching temperature is exceeded, the bimetal snap disk snaps around and presses the spring washer with its contact away from the upper part of the housing.
- Switches known from practice are usually used assembled with connecting strands, which on the one hand to the Cover part and on the other hand to an edge of the housing part be soldered on.
- the bottom of the housing part is not at Connection of a stranded wire available because of the temperature transition to the monitored device.
- a connection on the underside of the housing part is undesirable, because this leads to a greater overall height of temperature-dependent Switch would result.
- the cover part is pushed into the housing part and the raised edge of the housing part is flanged so that he clamps the lid part firmly. Flanged on this Edge is then soldered to the lead wire making the contact to the housing part. The second strand is soldered directly onto the cover part.
- Such a switch is manufactured in such a way that the switchgear is first inserted into the housing part before then placed the insulating washer on the housing part and with With the help of the lid part is pressed into this. Here it happens again and again that the insulating washer slips, so that no reliable insulation between the housing part and the cover part is reached. So this manufacturing can to lead to committee.
- DE-OS 21 21 802 is a similar temperature-dependent Known switch, which has a two-part housing. At this switch are on the cover part and on the housing part, respectively a connecting lug provided what because of the two-part Housing there is possible. For this purpose it is the lower one Upper housing part spanning the housing part with a recess provided in its peripheral edge, through which the connecting lug of the lower housing part extends outwards. This leads to to the fact that both housing parts are complicated stamped parts that i.a. are not pressure stable due to the recess.
- the generic switch has the advantage that the cover part is inserted into a housing part, resulting in leads to greater pressure stability, however, the disadvantage has that the leads must be soldered.
- the contact part is provided with a ring over which it is between the spring washer and the bimetallic snap disc becomes.
- the contact part must be inserted "loose” so to speak no mechanical tension or forces on the spring washer which are otherwise exercised in their movements would affect.
- this object is achieved in the aforementioned temperature-dependent switch solved in that the contact part is firmly attached to the spring washer by welding.
- This shoulder set back from the underside can now a stranded wire can be connected without this Influence on the overall height or possibly over the bottom of the Has manufactured part of the temperature contact.
- the strand can now not only on the cover part but also on the Shoulder e.g. be welded by electro spot welding, which is considerably faster than that of the prior art known soldering.
- a connecting lug is provided which is preferred with its first end with the shoulder is connected by welding, and its from the first end remote second end serves as a connection.
- connection lug it is also advantageous that because of the small thickness of the Connecting lug the shoulder only slightly opposite the Bottom must be set back what the overall height further reduced.
- the strand can then be connected to the second end of this Connection lugs are welded on. Although here two welding processes are required to connect the stranded wire and to manufacture the housing part, this takes place overall considerably shorter time than that known from the prior art Soldering the wire to the flanged edge of the housing part.
- Another advantage here is that the mechanical tensile strength with the new connection established via the connection lug is much better than with the solder joint at the edge of the flange.
- the shoulder is circumferential Ring shoulder is annular, and the first end of the terminal lug is trained.
- connection lug and the housing part
- housing part with its underside so inserted into the annular end that this on the Shoulder rests, so it automatically centers itself.
- connection lug is provided, which is preferably at its first end Welding is connected to the cover part, and its by the first end remote second end serves as a connection.
- the advantage here is that inexpensive and simple a low contact resistance between the spring washer and the cover part is made possible.
- the second terminal lug and the Mating contact can be welded in one operation.
- Another advantage here is that two fastenings in one single step so that the time required to Manufacturing is reduced.
- This sticking can be followed in several ways, firstly can first separate the cover part and the insulating washer manufactured and then glued together. On the other hand it is also possible to first manufacture the cover parts, and then stick them in rows and columns on an insulating paper and then punch this out, during this Stamping process is ensured that the insulating washers one have a larger diameter than the cover parts. Furthermore, either before or during this punching process required center hole made in the insulating washer through which the contact part of the spring washer with the cover part or the mating contact attached to it can come into investment.
- 10 is a temperature-dependent switch for temperature-dependent opening and closing of a circuit shown.
- the switch 10 comprises a housing part 12 which with its underside 13 to a device not shown in FIG. 1 or e.g. the excitation winding of a motor can be created, so that the temperature of the device or the motor in even closer the switching behavior of the switch to be described influenced.
- the housing part 12 has a raised edge 14 and has essentially a circular floor plan. Inside of the housing part 12, a switching mechanism 15 is arranged, which in Depending on the temperature of the monitored device electrical contact between the housing part 12 and a Lid part 16 produces or opens. Between the lid part 16 and the housing part 12, an insulating washer 17 is arranged, which the housing part 12 relative to the cover part 16 electrically isolated.
- the insulating washer 17 around the cover part 16 around in Fig. 1 is folded up so that it is Cover part 16 along its entire circumference 18 with respect to Edge 14 isolated.
- the inserted in the raised edge 14 Cover part 16 and the insulating washer 17 are in the housing part 12 held by the edge 14 at its upper end 19 is crimped. In this way, the switching mechanism 15 is tight included in the switch 10, an edge region 20 of the Insulating washer 17 protrudes upwards.
- the switching mechanism 15 comprises a spring washer 21 on which a Contact part 22 is welded.
- This contact part 22 extends in the switching state shown in Fig. 1 through a center hole 23 in the insulating washer 17 up to a counter contact 24, which is welded to the inside of the cover part 16.
- the spring washer 21 presses the contact part 22 against the mating contact 24 and provides so for a low contact resistance between these two Contacts.
- the spring washer 21 is supported on the other hand Inside the housing part 12 on a circumferential bead 25 from. Since both the housing part 12 and the cover part 16 and the spring washer 17 made of electrically conductive material are manufactured, the derailleur 15 in this way electrical contact between the housing part 12 and the Cover part 16 ago.
- Bimetallic part 26 arranged, here a bimetallic snap disc 27, which also has a center hole, through that the contact part 22 extends.
- the switching temperature is not yet reached. If the temperature of the monitored device increases, so this is e.g. over the bottom 13 or also over the Transfer connections. This also increases the temperature the bimetallic snap disk 27 so that it snaps and the spring washer 21 in Fig. 1 presses down, so that Contact part 22 is released from the counter contact 24 and the electrical contact between housing part 12 and cover part 16 opens.
- the switch 10 described so far is with stranded wires 31, of which only the stranded wire 31a in FIG. 1 is shown, with its stripped end 32 on the cover part 16 is welded on.
- the contact to the housing part 12 takes place via a connecting lug 33, which at one end 34 is annular.
- the terminal lug 33 is supported on an outer circumferential Shoulder 35 of the housing part 12 from opposite the bottom 13 is set back.
- the degree of shoulder displacement 35 and the thickness of the connecting lug 33 are chosen so that the Terminal lug 33 not in the region of its annular end 34 protrudes downward over the housing part 12. In this way a low overall height is made possible and is achieved on the other hand, that the bottom 13 immediately, if desired can support the device to be monitored, what a good one Ensures heat transfer.
- first terminal lug 33 is angled such that you from the first end 34th remote second end 36 set back from shoulder 35 is. At this second end 36 that in FIG. 1 is not recognizable further connecting leads attached.
- Switch 10 is a temperature-dependent in a further embodiment Switch 10 'shown, in which also the connection to the cover part 12 via a further connecting lug 38.
- the second connecting lug 38 is on the outside with its first end 39 welded onto the cover part 16 and further angled in such a way that its second, remote from the first end 39 End 40 opposite the first end 39 in Fig. 2 down is set back.
- the arrangement is such that the second end 40 of the second connecting lug 38 is radial staggered, but about the same height as the second End 36 of the first connecting lug 33.
- the switch 10 ' corresponds to the switch 10 Fig. 1. Only the center hole 23 of the insulating washer 17 is in the switch 10 'is larger than in the switch 10th
- the cover part 12 on the in a manner to be described in more detail the insulating washer 17 is glued, is first with the Mating contact 24 and the second terminal lug 38 provided before it is pressed into the housing part 12. Then the raised edge 14 flanged at its upper end 19, whereupon the manufacture of the switches 10, 10 'has ended.
- connecting lugs 33, 38 it is also possible to connect the connecting lugs 33, 38 to be welded on later.
- the switch 10 will instead of the second connecting lug 38, the connecting wire 31a welded on.
- the switch 10 from FIG. 1 is in a top view shown from above, so that in addition to the connecting wire 31 a Connecting wire 31b can be seen, with its stripped end 32b welded to the second end 36 of the first terminal lug 33 is.
- FIG. 4 shows the switch 10 ′ from FIG. 2 in a top view, here the welded connecting leads 31a and 31b are shown are.
- FIG. 5 shows the first connecting lug 33 and the second connecting lug 38, which as inexpensive stamped parts, preferably made of sheet metal, are made.
- the connecting lugs 33 and 38 are via connecting webs 41 and 42 connected to a transport web 43, in the transport holes 44 are provided.
- Fig. 5 is only one detail view, the transport web 43 extended 5 upwards and downwards in FIG. 5 and carries more there Terminal lugs 33 and 39.
