bzw. außerhalb des Einwirkungsbereichs der Schrägflächen 18 und
außerhalb der Einführungsöffnungen 17 der Kontaktelementgehäusekammern
12 bis 15.The
In dieser Vormontagestellung des Steckverbinders kann ein an
einen Leiterdraht 47 gecrimptes Kontaktelement 16 durch eine
Dichtkammer 30, das dazugehörige Loch 31, die Verriegelungsstifte
33 bzw. 33, 34 und die Stecköffnung 17 in eine Kontaktelementgehäusekammer
12 bis 15 gesteckt werden, bis Rastzungen 48
des Kontaktelements hinter einer Rastkante in der Gehäusekammer
springen. Auf jedem Leiterdraht 47 sitzt ein Einzelleitungsdichtring
49, der gegen den Leiterdraht und die Innenwandung der
Dichtkammer 30 gepreßt ist und somit den Zutritt von Wasser in
eine Kontaktelementgehäusekammer 12 bis 15 von der Leiterdrahtseite

der Gehäuse 1 und 2 gleitet der Rastbalken 21 in das
Rastloch 43 und die Rastbalken 23 bewegen sich in Richtung Oberkante

Die Erfindung kombiniert zum Abdichten eines Steckverbindergehäuses
mit Verriegelungseinrichtung eine besondere, an sich
bekannte Verriegelungseinrichtung mit zwei Gehäuseteilen und
benutzt das Zusammenfügen der Gehäuseteile mit einer Vor- und
einer Endmontagestellung zur Verriegelung der Kontaktelemente
und zur Positionierung des Dichtrings 45. Die Montage des Steckverbinders
ist dadurch sehr einfach und die Abdichtung gesichert,
weil die Endmontagestellung eine definierte Abstützung
für den Dichtring 45 schafft. Ein Verquetschen oder ungenügendes
Lagern des Dichtrings ist nicht mehr zu befürchten. Die Verriegelungselemente

Claims (10)
- A water-tight plug-type connector having a trough-shaped housing (1) with a peripheral outer wall (26) and a base wall (27) which form an interior space (28), a wall-type ring (29) being integrally formed on the base wall (27) such that it projects outwards, cylindrical chambers (30) which are for sealing individual lines and are each located above a chamber hole (31) provided in the base wall (27) being arranged spaced from the wall-type ring (29) upright within this wall-type ring (29), a contact-element housing chamber (12 to 15) being arranged in the interior space (28) above each chamber hole (31), these chambers (12-15) being surrounded by an annular wall (36) which is integrally formed on the base wall (27) and on the outer surface of which a sealing ring (45) is accommodated in the intermediate space (38) between the outer wall (26) and the annular wall (36), a locking means which engages in the contact-element housing chambers being provided,
characterized in that
a further annular wall (35) is arranged on the base wall (27), laterally spaced inwardly from the annular wall (36) such that it forms an annular gap (37) between the two annular walls (35, 36), and an inner housing (2) is accommodated in the annular gap (37), latching means (41, 43 and 21, 23) between the inner housing (2) and the housing (1) ensuring that there is a pre-mounting position and a final mounting position of the inner housing (2), and at least one locking pin (33, 34) projecting into the interior space (28) being arranged on the hole edge of preferably each chamber hole (31) on the base wall (27), and a sloping locking face (18) which is integrally formed in the region of the plug opening (17) of one of the housing chambers (12 to 15) being provided opposite each locking pin (33, 34) in the direction of latching, the housing chambers (12 to 15) being arranged in the inner housing (2). - A plug-type connector according to Claim 1,
characterized in that
the inner housing (2) comprises a cylindrical ring (3) in the form of a flat cylinder which has side walls (4, 5) running parallel to one another at a spacing and arcuate end walls (6, 7), a continuous base wall (8) being arranged on the inside approximately half-way up the ring (3) so that an upper trough-shaped interior space (9) and a lower trough-shaped interior space (10) are formed, and cylindrical contact-element housing chambers (12, 13, 14, 15), whereof the inside contour is adapted to the spatial shape of the respectively receiving contact elements (16), passing through the base wall, and the plug openings (17) of the housing chambers (12 to 15) being located in the interior space (9). - A plug-type connector according to Claim 2,
characterized in that,
as the latching means, a respective downwardly extending latching web (19) is attached to an opposing plug-type connector in the region of the longitudinal centre of the lower edge of the side walls (4, 5). - A plug-type connector according to one of Claims 2 or 3,
characterized in that,
as the latching means, an outwardly projecting latching ledge (21) which runs parallel to the longitudinal edge of the side wall is integrally formed on each side wall (4, 5) between the housing (1) and the inner housing (2) in the region of the longitudinal centre of the lower edge of the side walls (4, 5), and moreover two further outwardly projecting, relatively short latching ledges (23) which run parallel to the latching ledge (21) are integrally formed on each side wall (4, 5), spaced next to the latching ledge (21) and offset somewhat above the latter, and in that a middle latching web (41) and a respective latching web (42) arranged laterally spaced therefrom are attached to each longitudinal side edge of the annular wall (36), the middle latching web (41) having a rectangular latching hole (43) and each further latching web (42) having a rectangular latching hole (44) and the latching webs being resiliently pivotal and cooperating with the latching means (21, 23) of the inner housing (2) to ensure the pre-mounting and final mounting positions. - A plug-type connector according to one or more of Claims 1 to 4,
characterized in that,
around each hole (31) in the base wall (27), four locking pins (33) are arranged on the base wall, projecting into the interior space (28), and in the final mounting position are arranged driven by the sloping locking faces (18) into the cross-sectional region of the introduction opening (17), while in the pre-mounting position the locking pins (33) are arranged outside the cross-sectional region of the introduction opening (17). - A plug-type connector according to one or more of Claims 1 to 5,
characterized in that
an arcuate flange-type edge (24) which projects at a right angle is integrally formed on the end walls (6, 7) on the outside at the level of the base wall (8) and, in the final mounting position, reaches underneath the sealing ring (45). - A plug-type connector according to one or more of Claims 1 to 6,
characterized in that
adjacent holes (31) have adjacent pins (34) which, constructed in one piece, extend from one hole edge to the next. - A plug-type connector according to one or more of Claims 2 to 7,
characterized in that
the inner housing (2) already projects into the annular gap (37) in the pre-mounting position, the width, shape and length of the annular gap (37) corresponding to the width, shape and length of the cylindrical annular wall (3) of the inner housing (2). - A plug-type connector according to one or more of Claims 1 to 8,
characterized in that
a peripheral annular web-type projection (39) is arranged on the base wall (27) in the intermediate annular space (38) between the outer wall (26) and the outer annular wall (36). - A plug-type connector according to one or more of Claims 4 to 9,
characterized in that,
in the pre-mounting position, the relatively short latching ledges (23) engage in the latching holes (44) and the middle latching web (41) rests by means of its lower edge on the relatively long latching ledge (21), and in that, in the final mounting position, the relatively long latching ledge (21) is seated in the latching hole (43) and the relatively short latching ledges (23) move in the direction of the upper edge of their latching holes (44).
