Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a composition which is suitable for cleaning ovens of all kinds, in particular for stoves, ovens and grills.
The compositions currently on the market, which are intended for the cleaning of classic enamel stoves, essentially have as active constituents on the one hand a suitable basic base material which acts on fats and burnt-on residues, and on the other hand solvents and organic active substances which act as solvents and Moisturizers or wetting agents work. To enable easy handling, the mixtures are mostly filled as sprays and can contain other components such as. B. surfactants and / or foaming agents, thickeners and foam stabilizers. It should be noted that consumers particularly appreciate the products in the form of a stable foam, which have the advantage of making the spraying process visible.
The cleaning products for ovens currently on the market essentially have, in weight ratios, 5 to 10% solvents and 10 to 15% basic raw materials, which are generally characterized by a mixture of an alkaline base such as soda or pattas and one or more amines of monoethanolamine are formed. Such products have been developed with a satisfactory effectiveness for cleaning the classic enamel stoves, but not for cleaning the so-called self-cleaning stoves (catalysis, pyrolysis).
Furthermore, in addition to the classic ovens with enamel tubes, there are also ovens made of stainless steel on the market, which are equipped with hot air heating and which can either be designed as "hot air ovens or as mixed" hot air / grill "ovens. It should be noted that the nature of the cladding of these ovens (non-oxidizing stan) causes great difficulties in cleaning with the products known on the market as defined above, and therefore requires the development of more effective cleaning compositions power. To this day, consumers have not been able to offer suitable compositions which allow the ovens to be cleaned satisfactorily with non-oxidizing steel convection ovens.
The present invention has for its object to remedy this situation by proposing a new composition for cleaning the stoves, which has the advantages of the known composition for cleaning classic enamel stoves, but at the same time with the property that they are satisfactory for the Cleaning the new ovens made of non-oxidizing steel and "grill / hot air" ovens is usable.
According to the invention, this composition is characterized in that, in addition to a basic base material which contains an alkaline base such as soda or potash and / or one or more amines, 10 to 30% by weight of a mixture of low-volatile solvents, some of which consists of propylene glycol methyl ether and the other part of dipropylene glycol methyl ether, the weight ratio of propylene glycol ether to dipropylene glycol ether being between 30:70 and 90:10.
The composition according to the invention therefore differs equally from classic compositions of the same type in that it has a higher solvent content and in the particular nature of the solvent, which consists exclusively of a mixture of propylene glycol methyl ether and dipropylene glycol methyl ether. It is preferably the glycol monoethers.
When the composition according to the invention is used as a spray, particularly strong foaming is achieved.
In addition, particularly satisfactory results have been obtained in the cleaning of furnaces with hot air tubes and with tubes made from non-oxidizable steel, and the effectiveness with classic enamel furnaces has been improved with the aim of acting more quickly. It can actually be stated in figures that a corresponding composition currently available on the market after a contact time of one night has the same effect as the composition according to the invention after a contact time of 30 minutes due to a better solution of the fats due to a lower evaporation of the Solvent.
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the composition has between 10 and 15 percent by weight of solvent, the amount of propylene glycol ether preferably being about 2 to 4 times higher than the amount of dipropylene glycol ether.
According to another embodiment, the composition can have between 0.5 and 10% by weight sodium carbonate (soda). Taking into account the safety of use and to better prevent the risk of accidents caused by contact or ingestion of these products, manufacturers have been trying for several years to reduce the maximum amount of caustic and pickling substances contained in the compositions intended for cleaning ovens. The cleaning agent according to the invention shows its effectiveness with a sodium carbonate content already below 2%, and it is advantageous not to exceed this limit. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the basic base material preferably consists of a mixture of 0.5 to 2% sodium carbonate and 2 to 10, preferably 2 to 6% by weight of amine, preferably monoethanolamine.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the composition has between 0.5 and 2% of a thickener, for example Smectitton. The presence of a thickener in the composition according to the invention has been found to facilitate adherence of the sprayed product to the furnace walls.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the composition has up to 2% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 1% by weight, of a surface-active agent, in particular a sodium sulfate of a fatty alcohol having 8 to 15, preferably 10 to 12, carbon atoms, which is ethoxylated with 2 to 5 moles of ethylene oxide.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the composition has up to 2% by weight, preferably 0.1 to 1% by weight, of a foam-stabilizing agent, in particular an amide of a fatty acid with 8 to 14 carbon atoms or a copra oil.
It should be noted that this composition differs from the classic compositions not only by a higher content of solvents and particularly by their nature, but also by a lower content of basic raw materials, that is to say caustic or aggressive components. In addition to the advantages mentioned above, this composition according to the invention also has the advantage that it is non-flammable, which is a particularly important advantage when the composition is intended for a spray.
