- the bumper 4 consists of flexible material, the coupling parts are acted upon with a moment M and, as a result, the coupling sections are pressed against one another with a force F 3. If the heald frame 2 is lifted out of the weaving machine, the moment M acting on the coupling parts is reduced when the lifting movement is started by permitting a rotation of the parts on the shaft drive side, a small stroke length already being sufficient. Since the coupling parts are released after a short stroke length, the effort required to lift the heald frame is lower, i.e. essentially the weight of the heald frame has to be considered. Even if the heald frame is lifted at an angle, the torque is reduced with a very short stroke length according to FIGS. 3a and 3b.
