Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connector according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a connector is known from DE 3735205 C2. It is an electrical connector with a double lock.
- An inner housing part in the form of a drawer is inserted into an outer housing part and locked in an assembly position. In this position, the drawer is equipped with contact parts and then moved together with the contact parts into a locking position. It has been found to be disadvantageous that the drawer is moved twice in the same direction.
- the first locking can be overrun and the locking position can be reached immediately if the force required is only slightly exceeded. The necessary correction, the push back into the assembly position, interrupts the assembly process and considerably hinders the assembly process.
- a multi-pole electrical connector is known, the housing halves of which are brought together in the plug-in direction of the contact parts and locked for the first time, in order then to be fitted with the contact parts in this pre-locking position.
- One of the housing halves is then used for the second locking of the contact parts perpendicular to the thru-axis by a predetermined, linear path relative to the other housing half into a final one Locked position shifted.
- Bringing together the housing halves is difficult because existing guiding devices do not adequately support the first positioning of the housing halves with respect to one another.
- the locking and guiding means protruding from the housing halves represent points of attack for hooking and damage, which impair the smooth running of the assembly process.
- the invention is therefore based on the object, an electrical connector according to the preamble of claim 1 so that its housing parts are easy to assemble, in particular an unintentional or premature displacement of the housing parts from an assembly position to a locking position to be prevented.
- the invention ensures that the housing parts are first brought into a clearly defined assembly position in order to be able to be subsequently fitted with contact parts.
- the inner housing part is inserted into the outer housing part until it stops.
- a different directional movement is necessary.
- the previously uncertain distinction between the two positions based on the effort required is no longer required.
- the respective position of the inner housing part can be clearly seen through windows in the outer housing part. The transfer of the inner housing part into the locking position is only possible if the contact parts are correctly positioned in the corresponding contact chambers, so that in the locking position the correct locking of the contact parts, that is to say the double locking, is ultimately ensured.
- both housing parts are supported in their movement by guide devices. In both positions, it locks as soon as the inner housing part strikes the corresponding wall of the outer housing part.
- Figures 1 to 5 show an electrical connector 1, in the outer housing 2, an inner housing part is inserted in the form of a drawer 3 and is in an assembly position.
- the electrical connector 1 is shown on an enlarged scale.
- Aligning chambers, housing chambers 4 and drawer chambers 5, are arranged in the outer housing part 2 and in the drawer 3.
- contact parts 6 are inserted, of which only the front part 6a designed as a plug contact is shown (FIGS. 4 and 5).
- a front housing wall 7 prevents the contact part 6 from emerging again.
- the contact part 6 has a barb 9, which latches behind a projection 10 in the drawer 3.
- a step 11 of the housing 2 engages behind the front part 6a of the contact part 6 and forms a further, namely the second latching, of the contact part 6 with the housing 2 (FIG. 7).
- the drawer 3 is pushed in the direction S into a corresponding receiving chamber 12 of the housing 2 until the drawer 3 strikes a housing side wall 13.
- a nose 14 is formed on the drawer 3, which is guided in a groove 15 in the housing 2 (FIG. 5a).
- this guide prevents the drawer 3 from being moved into the locking position beforehand.
- further lugs 16 formed on the drawer 3 engage in corresponding grooves 17 of the housing 2 oriented perpendicular to the first guide (FIG. 4).
- the housing 2 can be preassembled with the drawer 3 and can be delivered for fitting with contact parts 6.
- the contact parts 6 are pushed into the drawer 3 in the direction K and lock behind the projection 10.
- a window 19 is provided in a housing wall 18, through which the fitter or a machine part can move the drawer 3 in the direction T until it strikes a housing wall 20.
- the lug 14 is pressed out of the groove 15 with little effort, so that the drawer 3, supported by the lug 16 and groove 17 now serving as a guide, is pressed against the housing wall 20 into the locking position.
- the nose 14 secures this position by latching in a recess 21 in the housing 2 (FIG. 7a).
- the mounting and locking position of the drawer 3, see FIGS. 5 and 7, is suitable both for the manual and for the mechanical equipping of the housing 2 with contact parts 6.
- the different directions of movement for inserting or transferring the drawer 3 in are particularly advantageous the assembly and locking position, since these processes can be clearly differentiated, ie both visually and manually.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical connector according to the preamble of
Such a connector is known from DE 3735205 C2. It is an electrical connector with a double lock. An inner housing part in the form of a drawer is inserted into an outer housing part and locked in an assembly position. In this position, the drawer is equipped with contact parts and then moved together with the contact parts into a locking position. It has been found to be disadvantageous that the drawer is moved twice in the same direction. When the drawer is locked in the assembly position, the first locking can be overrun and the locking position can be reached immediately if the force required is only slightly exceeded. The necessary correction, the push back into the assembly position, interrupts the assembly process and considerably hinders the assembly process.
In the G 8910905, a two-stage locking device requiring increasing displacement forces was designed to clearly differentiate between the mounting and locking positions. However, it is also disadvantageous here that the drawer is moved twice in the same direction, and that when the drawer is operated manually, the distinction between the two positions depends on the subjective sense of force of the mechanic.
From G 92 10 736 a multi-pole electrical connector is known, the housing halves of which are brought together in the plug-in direction of the contact parts and locked for the first time, in order then to be fitted with the contact parts in this pre-locking position. One of the housing halves is then used for the second locking of the contact parts perpendicular to the thru-axis by a predetermined, linear path relative to the other housing half into a final one
Locked position shifted. Bringing together the housing halves is difficult because existing guiding devices do not adequately support the first positioning of the housing halves with respect to one another. In addition, the locking and guiding means protruding from the housing halves represent points of attack for hooking and damage, which impair the smooth running of the assembly process.
The invention is therefore based on the object, an electrical connector according to the preamble of
This object is achieved with the features specified in the characterizing part of
The invention ensures that the housing parts are first brought into a clearly defined assembly position in order to be able to be subsequently fitted with contact parts. The inner housing part is inserted into the outer housing part until it stops. In order to move the inner housing part into the locking position after the contact part has been fitted, a different directional movement is necessary. The previously uncertain distinction between the two positions based on the effort required is no longer required. In addition, the respective position of the inner housing part can be clearly seen through windows in the outer housing part. The transfer of the inner housing part into the locking position is only possible if the contact parts are correctly positioned in the corresponding contact chambers, so that in the locking position the correct locking of the contact parts, that is to say the double locking, is ultimately ensured.
In addition, both housing parts are supported in their movement by guide devices. In both positions, it locks as soon as the inner housing part strikes the corresponding wall of the outer housing part.

Figures 1 to 5 show an
The manufacture of the individual catches is described in the following text. First, the
Then the
Die erste Verrastung des Kontaktteiles 6 erfolgt also in der Schublade 3, die zweite Verrastung gegen das Gehäuse 2.At the same time, the
The mounting and locking position of the
