Description

The present invention relates to an electronic watch according to the preamble of claim 1. Watches of this kind are known for example from CH-B-671 669 or from WO 92/04 662. The generators of these known watches comprise a single rotor and stator, which requires a considerable multiplication of the rotation of the oscillating mass to obtain a suitable speed, respectively a yield and a suitable power of the generator. In addition, the generator requires enough space in the movement of the watch, and in any case, it is a special movement, comprising the oscillating weight, the gear train and the generator itself.

To avoid the aforementioned disadvantages, the present invention provides a watch according to claim 1. The fact of providing several magnetized rotors makes it possible to obtain sufficient efficiency and power by means of a relatively small multiplication, with a single toothed wheel engaging the rotor gears. A multiplication in the order of 40 to 45 may suffice. Preferably, the magnetized rotors act on a common stator, for example an annular stator at the periphery of the movement. It is thus possible to produce a generator outside of a usual movement, and the generator comprising the oscillating mass, the rotors and the stator can be produced in the form of a module capable of being assembled with a watch movement. .

Consequently, the present invention also relates to such a generator according to claim 6. This generator can be characterized by a plate, which has a housing for the watch movement. It is thus possible to manufacture generators whose said housing is sized to receive watch movements of different calibers.

The invention will be explained in more detail using an example embodiment shown in the drawing.
  • Fig. 1 is a top view, without oscillating weight and
  • fig. 2 is a section along line II-II.

The generator part or generator module comprises a plate 1 on which is mounted using a ball bearing 2, an oscillating mass 3. This oscillating mass is integral with a toothed wheel 4, which is engaged with the pinions 5 of four magnetized rotors 6. These are bipolar rotors with diametrical magnetization. The rotors with the pinions 5 are mounted on pivots in the plate 1 and a bridge 8. Each rotor 5 is located between two polar expansions 7 of a stator section 9, mounted on the plate. Each section 9 of the stator is made up of a coil 10. In fact, it is the polar expansions which are fixed on projecting parts of the plate 1, while the sections 9 and coils 10 are located outside the plate in cutouts 11 of these. The plate 1 has a housing 12 capable of receiving a watch movement 13 of an appropriate caliber. The dimensions of the housing 12 can be chosen to receive an electronic watch movement of an existing caliber.

During each rotation of the oscillating mass 3, the four rotors 6 are driven in synchronism by the toothed wheel 4 and the pinions 5. The rotors 6 are arranged between the stator sections 7, 9 so that the magnetic flux is added in the annular stator formed by the four stator sections. We thus obtain a variation intense flow and therefore a high efficiency and power of the generator despite the relatively small multiplication between the movement of the oscillating mass and the rotation of the rotors 6. The coils 10 can be connected in series or in parallel, depending on the degree charging capacity. The alternating current induced in the coils 10 can be rectified to charge the accumulator of the watch.

Instead of four rotors 6, one can provide more or less, but at least two. Whatever the number of rotors and sections of the stator, the invention allows a simple and thin construction, since the polar expansions 7 are directly mounted on the plate and the sections 9 and coils 10 are mounted in cutouts of the plate.
