Definitions
- Both 12-roll stands and 20-roll stands have two Roll sets with work rolls at the ends facing each other of the two sets of rolls that limit the roll gap and act on the rolling stock from two sides. Except for the Work roll, each set of rolls has a number of inner intermediate rolls and outer support rollers on which the work roll is supported.
- the direct employment with 20-roll stands makes it possible with these without additional conversion measures and especially without changing the number of rollers optional work rolls with diameters in a ratio of up to 2.5, for example between 30 and 70 mm.
- the roll stand type e.g. Two, four or 20-roll stand.
- multi-roll stands with 12 or 20 rolls and small diameter work rolls to use economical, i.e. with as few passes as possible, from one relatively large initial thickness to a smallest final thickness to come from, for example, 0.01 mm or 0.05 mm and thereafter Subsequent rolling the surface of the rolling stock by using the rolled stock without any significant change the multi-roll stand reached final thickness by a roll stand passed with a relatively large roller diameter becomes.
- a 12-roll stand always works with 12 rolls
- a 20-roll stand works always with 20 rollers. That means that at a first Rolling process with a very small final thickness from one relatively thick starting material in one pass at best a few passes and the need surface finishing two different roll stands must be used.
- JPA-52-73158 describes a method for changing the Use of a multi-roll stand including some of the rolls a work roll with small diameters removed and through a large diameter roller can be replaced as a work roller.
- the object of the invention is now to design a multi-roll stand in such a way that work can be carried out with it, such as they have so far been carried out on a 20-roll stand, however also work that has a larger work roll diameter than possible with a 20-roll stand.
- Object of the invention in other words, to show a multi-roll stand, that the advantages of a multi-roll stand, for example of a 20-roll stand, with simple means however can be changed so that an economical Use when rolling thicker strips or even the Use as a skin pass mill is possible.
- a roll stand with the invention which is a 20-roll stand and equivalent for all work can be used for the 20-roll stands are; with the rolled material brought to a final thickness can be, for example, at least in the range of 0.10 mm.
- the Roll stand can also be carried out with almost the same efficiency, for which other roller stands have so far been used.
- Training as a 20-roll stand with the Larger number of rollers are good prerequisites for the fact that conversion to roller sets with work rolls, the larger one Have such a number of support rollers in the stand remains that the remaining number of rolls is still sufficient the work rolls with a larger diameter, i.e. smaller ones Support requirements, support, on the other hand but so many support rolls can be removed that work rolls can be installed with larger diameters.
- a roll stand with one is essential created a larger area of application. Is the roll stand as Equipped with 20-roll stand, so you can use it in optimal Wise rolling operations are carried out as they use today's 20-roll stands require, so it can in particular Rolled material optimally rolled to the smallest final thickness will. There is no need to cut back on a 20-roll stand be made in standard construction. Is the same roll stand converted to a 14-roll stand with less effort, which, given the situation described above, turns out to be proves easily feasible, the conditions are almost reached, as they are necessary for re-rolling. That means, that hardly any compromises compared to a special finishing mill have to be done.
- the area of application of the roll stand according to the invention again as expanded can be viewed by being in the equipment as a 20-roll stand
- Final thicknesses in the range of 0.10 mm can be achieved then the roll stand is converted to a 14-roll stand and before that with the very slim work rolls on the wanted final thickness that was possible with the 20-roll stand
- Rolled material by using the far less lean Work rolls of the 14-roll stand without additional thickness reduction undergoes a surface treatment for an entire Range of use cases is sufficient. So a rolling mill must something with the purchase of a roll stand according to the invention invest more than if you just bought a 20-roll stand would, but can work with one machine of two roll stand types, so that the invention Ultimately, the solution is the more economical solution will represent.
- a roll stand equipped as a 20-roll stand is shown and in Fig. 2 the same roll stand the conversion to a 14-roll stand is shown; the In both cases, the roll stand is schematic with a viewing direction shown in the direction of the roll axes of rotation.
- Fig. 3.4 is a side view (partially in section) of an embodiment the upper part of a roll stand (Fig. 3) or one Cross-sectional view of this upper part (Fig. 4) shown.
- the roll stand is a stand construction with direct hydraulic adjustment.
- the hydraulic Employment is denoted by 1.
- Employment 1 offers the advantage of being free in large areas selectable stroke within a certain limit minimum / maximum usable work roll diameter selected can be.
- the limit is defined by the geometry of the two Roller sets 2.3 determined. It can be implemented as 20-roll stand with work roll diameter ratios of up to 2.8, as already realized with known roll stands is designed exclusively as a 20-roll stand are and wherein work rolls 5, 5 'can be used, the Diameter can be between 30 and 70 mm, for example.
- the multi-roll stand according to the invention is a 20-roll stand designed in the equipment according to FIG. 1.
- the hydraulic adjustment 1 is arranged at the top, that directly onto the upper bearing housing 15 with the upper roller set 2 acts, which in turn with the work roll 5 the top of the rolling material 14 acts or the roll gap 14 'limited from above, and a work roll 5' one lower roll set 3 on the underside of the rolling material 14 acts or limits the roll gap 14 'from below.
- the Work rolls 5, 5 ', inner intermediate rolls 6, 7 or 6', 7 ', outer intermediate rolls 8, 9, 10 or 8 ', 9', 10 'and support rollers 11 or 11 'of the upper roller set 2 or the lower Roll set 3 correspond to the state of the art, so that in detail only as described in connection with Fig. 3, 4 happens, must be addressed.
- the bearing housing 15, 15 'of both sets of rollers 2 and 3 are adjustable relative to each other arranged in the roll stand, on the one hand the lower To bring support roller set 3 to pass-line height, on the other hand to be able to open the roll gap 14 'to different degrees.
- employment 1 or drives are designed; the rotational movement of the rollers or rollers is controlled by a Drive that works like the job itself and is therefore not shown.
- rollers 5 to 10 and 5 'to 10' on the one hand and the rollers 11, 11 'on the other hand it should be noted that all rollers 5 to 10 or 5 'to 10' in one piece from their one are continuously formed to work rolls at their other end to form intermediate rolls, while with 11 or 11 'support rollers are designated, but not in one piece trained continuously from one end to the other are, although they correspond to the work and intermediate rolls Length, but which consist of individual roles, those with relatively small distances next to one another in a rotationally fixed manner Shaft 16 are assigned so that the support rollers 11, 11 ' referred to in practice as roller sets or support roller sets will.
- the roll stand is now of the 20-roll stand 1 convertible to a 14-roll stand according to FIG. 2.
- the roller group 5 to 8 or 5 'to 8' of each roller set 2 or 3 removed and in their place is one single work roll 13 or 13 'with a correspondingly larger Diameter stored in the respective bearing housing 15 or 15 '.
- the work roll 13 is supported in each roll set 2 or 3 or 13 'on the rollers 9, 10 or 9', 10 '.
- Essential to the invention is the coordination between the roller groups 5 to 8 or 5 'to 8' on the one hand and the work roll 13 or 13 'on the other hand in the respective roll set 2 or 3 and the possibility of storing them in lateral layers or bearing housings of the roll stand such that in each of the two Drop the work rolls onto the rolling stock 14 'in the nip 14 act and their proper support possible or guaranteed are. So there are so many from the 20-roll stand Rollers can be removed so that space is created for two rollers large diameter.
- roller set shown is the upper roller set 2 acts according to Fig. 1, 2, it being assumed that the multi-roll stand as a 20-roll stand corresponding to FIG. 1 is set up.
- the lower set of rollers 3 is accordingly educated.
- the support roller set comprising the rollers 11 and the support axes 16 is supported on the bearing housing 15 by means of saddle pieces 17, the saddle pieces 17 independently of one another by means of adjusting devices are adjustable, for example from each a pair of wedges 22, 23, on which the housing 15th supported actuator 23 a piston-cylinder unit 24, 25th acts, the other actuator 22 of the respective saddle piece 17 is assigned. Every saddle is one Actuator assigned independently of the actuators the other actuator works.
- the lateral of the outer intermediate rollers 9, 10 are on the bearing housing 15 adjustable by piston-cylinder units 18, 19 stored, with only the two units 18, 19 for the lateral outer intermediate roller 9 are shown, the other side outer intermediate roller 10 but is mounted accordingly.
- the piston-cylinder units 18, 19 and 24, 25 and 20 are articulated on the bearing housing 15.
- the inner intermediate rolls 6, 7 are also articulated on the bearing housing 15 (not shown in Figure 3); the work roll 5 is between Rolled stock 14 and the intermediate rolls 6,7 loosely inserted.
- the work roll 13 can be suspended by means of a piston-cylinder unit, similar to the piston-cylinder unit 20.
